Challenge #04054-K036: Ordinarily Fighting Words

"Hey yourself, naked ape!"

The two, human and hellkin eyed each other a moment before giving each other big hugs with warm, cheerful smiles. -- Anon Guest

Some words can kill. In the remote and isolated valleys of Nohmyraa, the residents call any Hellkin 'teuf' shortly before a noose is tightened around their neck or, in the case of those hours old, a pillow is pressed to their face.

The polite say, "Harukh," or, "D'varuv." Those less inclined to be nice say "Orc," or, "Dwarf."

So, when a tall, bald Human walked entered the Butting Goat Tavern, all seemed well enough. Until he approached a Hellkin already drinking there and said, "Hey, you old Teuf."

Monday, the Skin of My Teeth

It's payday tomorrow, I had to buy fuel, I have five dollarydoos left in my account and the oven preheating for the baking.

I need coffee, cream, flour, chia [I'm out at last], salt, and sundry other fixings.

I might take Miss Chaos out shopping with me when we can afford such an excursion. It's a long and complicated trip I have queued up to take most of my moneys.

Sunday, Bread Again

I have good news identical to the bad news: The bread is so delicious that the family can't stay away from it.

My loaves got a little burned, but that is a timing issue. The second one is just a little doughy on the bottom, and that's another timing issue. The dough's still stiff and hard to manage, so for the final experiment, I am in mid-process of an 80% hydration batch with the chia soaking.

Thursday, All New Fuckups

I had PLN'd to get Mayhem to the train station by nine so he could catch the train that would let him get to job training in good time.

Pity for me that waking up to arrive mere minutes to the train's arrival is counterproductive to the thought processes of Mayhem. So he missed the train and I had to drive him down. Again.

We have a PLN in place to not mess up that badly again, tomorrow. Yay, I guess.

I've measured out everything but my Starter, which is currently incubating in preparation for the autolyse. I have 170g of chia soaking in 800g of water for the duration.
