Realm of the InterNutter

Thoughts, stories and ideas.

Stream morning yaaaayyyy

I set up the skeleton of ep 25 of Inter-Mission and because the stream is still going as I write, I can't edit. That might happen later today.

I gotta count my prepped meals to figure out how long it's going to be before I prep a buttload of meals again. Whether or not that's going to happen in the middle of the Covid Crisis.

Which would make everything... interesting to say the least.

Stream action's back on. Hang on.

Ah, that was some delicious angst juice.

I shall attempt to write a story and then maybe edit that episode I set up before this coming Friday.

The great news for future sourdoughs is that I have found one place to get all the stuff I need to make a real sourdough loaf. The problem is that it's shut today. Bleh.

At least there won't be crowds of manic people emptying the shelves of cooking shit. I have a decent chance of getting all that nonsense with a minimum of fuss and bother.

Supermarket shelves are still empty of disposable paper products because stupid panic. At least if I'm going to panic, it's going to be a logical, thought-out process.

I have a kitty bothering me for foods, so I shall get the important business done and then attempt to focus on the output for today.

Stay tuned, dear readers.

Challenge #02621-G064: Reach Out And...

Born without the ability to speak, the human wrote or use signed language to communicate, though they could speak mind to mind, most did not like that at all, it gave them headaches. But as they worked on the havenworlder's ship, their first assignment, they heard something. But it was in their head. They went to the gravity drive and realized... that is who they were hearing. They spoke back, one mind to another, and in doing so the two ended up

Fun was had. Friction is generating.

So we had some decent RP. Not a lot of decent fights, but some decent RP. We had all players but I didn't have enough warning to buy Krispy Kremes for the entire group. I let them know though.

I might be on the hook for a gigantic box of doughnuts, next fortnight.

Highlights:

  • Barbarian too scared to confront my Tief so he sent a note up with his invisible servant
  • My Tief gave him lines ["I will not shoot my allies"

Challenge #02620-G063: To Become Human

The memorial ceremony was solemn. As their crewmate was laid to rest, the family given the posthumus honors the crewperson had earned for their heroism, their crewmates and captain were stunned by what had happened. The human marines that had been invited to attend stood at attention and saluted the grave of this small, fluffy, Havenworlder one last time with all the respect a human could give for someone who'd shown such courage.

The crew had razzed their crewmate calling them human

Finally! Rest... (sort of)

Well, today is the 7th day of feeding the starters, and I now have them resting in the fridge so that I have time for other things. Like taking a firkin BREAK.

It's the thirteenth this month, which happens to be a Friday, so there is an almost mandatory uptick in gambling. I won't be having a flutter via $1 scratchie. I am content in hoping my "cheesy bread" will actually turn out okay.

Chaos has swimming and I have D&

Challenge #02619-G062: Sizzlin'

The support snag, AKA sausage inna slice of bread. You find them everywhere here in Auz, raising money for good causes, local footy teams. Volunteers cooking sausages and buttering bread, and selling bulk buy soft drinks at retail prices. The backbone of the country. -- Knitnan

It was a N'Ozzie thing. Of course it was a N'Ozzie thing. It made minimal sense, therefore it had to come from N'Oz. The entire planet, except for one reasonably large and relatively idyllic[1] island,

Thursday Already? AUGH!

Well, I have definitely been keeping busy. This morning's experiment is muffins, which are still in the process of cooking in the oven.

Last time I checked, they were looking pretty good.

The last thing I need before publishing my progress is the actual cooking time.

We're up to one hour now.

I still have all my other output to do, but by gum, I know I can do it.

Figuring out what to quit so I have more time for fun

Challenge #02618-G061: Adjusting the Recovery Plan

Their legs were broken, their lower back was damaged, and they were bruised all to hell. Still, havenworlders were safe, so while uncomfortable, they were not too upset about the situation. A scaffold some workers has been on had given way and they'd shoved the havenworlders out of the way quickly just as it collapsed pinning them beneath. Security had to come rescue them as the havenworlders were too small to get them out. Still, being stuck in the chair, in casts

::Trumpet Riff::

So. Today, I have already fed the sourdough and made Accidental Crepes. I saw Miss Chaos ready for her day, and wrote two hundred out of my allotted five hundred for today.

Very soon indeed, I shall be rocketting off to see Miss Chaos' school about the learning plan, possibly what Keto does to folks, and anything useful I could provide for the entire learning journey.

Mayhem should have had a shift today, but he's down with some kind of Lurgi [GOD

Challenge #02617-G060: Bonding Through Irritation

The humans teach some havenworlders how to play an infamous board game known as monopoly. -- Anon Guest

Competition is innate in Humans. Without some form of competition in their lives or society, Humans tend to... wither. A society without competition goes retrograde. A Human without competition becomes bored. There are few forces in the universe more destructive than a bored Human.

Fortunately for Havenworlders, Humans tend to bring along entertainment. This may be some kind of survival instinct at work or

So Sideways...

Harvesting and feeding the sourdough takes me some time, and I really should be blogging about it all. The problem was where to put it. Instagram has turned into phone-only nonsense and putting a recipe up there is not my best way to waste time.

I briefly entertained using somewhere like Squarespace, but I think they cost money.

However, I also have an alternate Steemit account [which reveals more about me than I want known here] so the entire sourdough experiment will

Challenge #02616-G059: Vital Education

A: Why is your baby so happy and well behaved? I've tried everything with mine!

Baby A: shriiieeeeek!!!

B: I just listen to them.

Baby B: happy cooing -- Anon Guest

Parenting classes did not exist, once. People were expected to pick up parenting from their own parents. This was not always the best model. Child psychology and psychology in general began with one simple step: listening. The instant people began to learn that their infants attempt communication from birth, is the

SIDEWAYS! As per normal...

I began my experimental sourdough starters on Saturday and had a "harvest" this morning of sourdough leftovers.

I say "leftovers" because part of the sourdough starter brewing process is halving the starter and getting rid of one half. You should know by now that I hate wasting stuff, so I considered myself blessed when I found out that there are several ways to cook and eat that.

One dude fries it up with fresh herbs and stuff on top and uses the

Challenge #02615-G058: Useless? Never Heard of It

those odd coins in the bottom of your pocket or bag. Putting them to good use. -- Anon Guest

As a member of the Loyal Order of Hitchhikers, it is prudent to clean out one's bags regularly. Especially the bags one uses for currency. As one makes one's way through several cultures and territories, one accumulates small change like a piece of sticky tape accumulates lint. This is most important as weight limits can prevent further travel and some coin weighs more

Experiments underway!

I got some sourdough starters incubating on my kitchen countertop. One with almond meal, two with wholemeal. One is later going to use bread flour, the other is using wholemeal flour.

I might get a fourth jar to try the protein flour on one of the halved starters. I don't think sourdough is going to do well on protein though. Beloved suggested and... It could be worth a shot.

I'll be blogging about this here, I think. I don't think Wordpress needs
