Tuesday, Patreon, Nerfing and Nonsense

Beloved and I tried to remove the remaining acrylic on my nails and... nothing shifted. Even literally soaking my nails in acetone did squat. So I'm left with picking it off or growing it off.

Lucky my nails grow fast.

It's Patreon day today! I get to unearth all the cool stuff I deem fit to share with my Esteemed Patrons, and then post it so they can take a peeksie.

Yay.

I also have to go about nerfing the Lockbox of Po'ki'maan. Stuff like limits to how many it can hold and how often it can be used. Which I may discuss with the holder of same. Same with nerfing the Horn of R'qiklashnula

I honestly did not intend for it to be as OP as it is. Just... tempting.

I'll get onto that soonish. But for now, it is time for a tale.

Challenge #03438-I150: Critical Misunderstanding

A Knomira sees a human carrying a large bird on their shoulder. They try to pet the bird and the person states quite coldly they have to ask the bird's permission. The Havenworlder is NOT happy about the Knomira throwing a fit calling them a 'pet'. It's not their fault their translator's broken! -- Anon Guest

[AN: Translator software is almost universally useless in my future. Galactics prefer to use the services of living translators, usually JOATS]

Long Monday, Sleeplessness Shenanigans

I didn't get a lot of sleep, last night. Or this morning. Thanks, Anxiety, for making sure I can only squeeze in four hours at a time.

Not helped by Beloved deciding she wanted to whirlwind the entire house JUST as I was trying to sleep. So I'm more than a little wrecked today.

Blargh.

So wrecked that I didn't blog or publish until now. Whoops.

I do not expect a lot out of myself on Mondays.

The most I plan on

Challenge #03437-I149: Diminished Responsibility Reformation

A young Knomira who had been spoiled their entire life by their parentals is incarcerated and in therapy. What did they do? Doesn't matter right now. What does matter is helping them realize their path in this life was self-destructive. It didn't help the parentals were one step to getting themselves incarcerated if they didn't stop harassing the therapy center. -- Anon Guest

Sunday, Game Night Shenanigans

Achievement unlocked: Buried hatchets. Cleared the air with involved parties and renewed backup systems in place. Huzzah.

Tonight, my players fight a dragon. Yay.

This morning, I had a good old-fashioned anxiety attack and used it to get some writing in [eventually]. Namely, getting the Tale Foundry prompt entry written early.

I make sleeplessness work for me.

Might as well, right?

I have no further plans than resting my wrists [I borked them a little whilst doing the prompt story] and scheduling

Challenge #03436-I148: Found Home

A young teen comes up to Kevin, Ma, and the rest of the party and asks Kevin to please teach them how to use a bow and arrow. They live with their grandparents and want to help make life better for their poor family by providing more food. They would be honored if he would be willing to teach them. -- Anon Guest

Rex, Kevin's new baby brother, spent most of the journey riding someone else. In a backpack or sling, he

Saturday, Change of PLNs

My Beloved was going to whisk me away for fun times and shopping and so on. BUT MeMum needs fuel for her mower, so offski I poddle on that mission. We might even get to clear the air on some issues between us.

[I didn't want to do that alone but... circumstances are beyond my control]

With luck and good fortune and a LOT of patience -most likely on my part- we might get back to amiable circumstances.

Sigh.

Onwards to story,

Challenge #03435-I147: From the Mouths of Babes

The beatings the human was enduring from the very angry parental were bad enough, but worse was to come. They had to face the child after the child came out of the ICU, but still heavily bandaged, still very weak, and try to explain themselves. Injected with a medication meaning they could not, at least for the time being, tell a lie, they had to be honest, not just to the family, but for once in their lives, to themselves.

Friday, Unfuckening and Stuff

I have so many things I have been procrastinating about, and one of them is plugging species info into Alfarell. I have a few that need elucidation.

That will give me something to show my Patrons, next week.

Bad news: No apology from the antagonist.
Good news: No revenge either.

I was having anxious conniptions about that all day yesterday. To the point where it impeded my ability to set-dress the level I just finished.

In my plans for today are cleaning

Challenge #03434-I146: Born Again Gormlessness

They find a necromancer willing to make a new body for the poor idiot. But the person will lose all their magic and have to learn everything back from square one. Maybe learn better manners and respect as well.

Challenge #03433-I145: Congratulations on Your New Cat

They decide to keep the cat, the poor kitten needs them, this is obvious, and raise it. Though learning to raise such an animal was a bit of a learning curve. However, they found it quite protective of them, and very comforting on days when things were ... difficult.

When the Humans encounter something small, usually a serving of food, they tend to say, "It's a shame to take it away from its mother.

Thursday, and the thing with yesterday.

The story of yesterday starts with the day before. I shall leave out the details to preserve the innocent and guilty alike.

On Tuesday, a person very close to my heart decided to send me a set of serial insults. Why? Because I could not perform a task according to their in-skull instructions. And because I missed doing a task on Monday [my most tired day of the week] this was two sins in four days.

So when I needed a day

I Need a Day

The cyclone headache isn't going anywhere.

I've actually had a guilt cry over the things I can and cannot contribute to my Patreon content.

I've had an emotional blow-up over things that, from a certain perspective, are inconsequential. To the people involved, they're consequential as hell, but in the grand scheme of everything... I don't even know any more.

I'm burned out.

I need a day.

So... I am disconnecting from online activity for all of Wednesday. Therefore, Wordpress Wednesday will be

Challenge #03432-I144: Bonus Action

Mr. Sunshine and his apprentice, Jay, are on a Deregger polity on a mission when a small child runs up to them terrified, pulling on Jay's blood-stained clothes, begging them to help rescue hir family that have been trapped and are being hurt by "bad people". -- Anon Guest

"It could be a trap," murmured Mr Sunshine. "At least wear a fresh 'drop'[1] for the occasion."

"Right," Jay shrugged off the old garment, leaving it in Mr Sunshine's capable hands. The

Tuesday, Patreon and Dungeon building

I have a cyclone headache and the painkillers have done JACK SQUAT this morning. I shall be doing all computer things with sunnies on. Blargh.

The good news is that I'm nearly done with creating Level 10 of 23. If I make it to level 12, I can call myself halfway done with building the entire dang dungeon.

But I won't relax until I am DONE done with it all.

Today's the day I put Patreon rewards up for everyone. No new
