Wednesday, Day Zero, Last Day of School

SIX gorram cases, all from overseas. The Yule Flood probably won't end until half-past january, Twenty-one active cases. I am very nervous about this.

Today's agenda includes going through the chest freezer for everything inedible, unwanted, and just plain old. We need more room in there for the party stuff.

Tuesday, Day Zero, Dentistry

I'm seeing the dentist later on this morrow, so I'm certain to be lightly toasted before sunset. Gonna remember to brush my teeth more often, I swear.

Not in my favour that I swear that regularly, and keep breaking that vow through pure absent-mindedness. I have more delightful things to do than smear my mouth with mint.

Sunday, Day Zero, FUDGE!

Two more cases taking the total count up to eleven. Darnit. Still imports, still detected in quarantine. Still having the risk of One Karen to Ruin it All. Sigh.

I messed up two batches of fudge by getting the order wrong. You're supposed to heat up the condensed milk with the butter and then add the shredded chocolate. Doing it the other way around made it turn gritty and look unappealing, but it's still eatable fudge at the end of the day.

Two cases from overseas, each detected in quarantine, but they do take the active case count up to ten. I dislike double figures in my active case count. One more week of school this year and it's not really worth giving up on the mask for that.

Thursday - Day Zero - Can Has Relax?

Three new cases from overseas. Ten active cases in the system. Meanwhile, I've been hit squarely in the face by the Dunwannas, floparound version.

Symptoms:

  • Lack of energy
  • Lack of inclination
  • Lack of desire
  • INTENSE soporification [yes I know that's not a word, but I need it to be]

So I'm just going to focus on doing that which is necessary for my alleged business model and see if anything sparks my muse for the rest of the day.

Friday, Day Two, whoopsydoodle

I keep forgetting it's November. Which means that I am overdue for Cashmas Panic. Hell, I haven't even gone looking for MeMum's bifdy present [I even almost forgot the nativity anniversary was yesterday -blush] and that's usually the precursor to Cashmas Panic.

Thursday, Day One, now whut?

Well, we have something resembling a PLN. We have some things we can do to help Chaos reach her goals. Part of which involves giving her things to try.

I just put some investment in it. Chaos now owns a copy of Garry's Mod which is the easiest CG animation program out there, as it has pre-arranged assets that anyone can use. Hopefully, Chaos has some fun with that.

Fifteen active cases in total. All from overseas. All in quarantine. New South Wales is entering that twenty-eight day milestone of no in-community transmission. Which means Queensland can relax about travellers from NSW at long freaking last.

Victoria seems to be treating this seriously as well. Huzzah.
