Monday, Busy Bean

So here's my day, starting with last night, because sleep issues.

  • Needed white noise to fall asleep, it was super-effective
  • Woke up close to 6, got on with my PLNs to be ready for the doc
  • Fed the cats
  • Check my time versus Mayhem's work time
  • Detect conflict, shit a brick
  • Get Mayhem going for an early drop-off
  • Long drive #1
  • Head on down to inner Brisbane for special doc's
  • Long drive #2
  • Have to drive around thrice to get a park
  • Still arrive with lots of time
  • Made connection to another specialist but also got my prescription
  • On the way home, call from Mayhem. Because early drop-off, can go home early
  • Not even stopping, head up to collect Mayhem
  • Long Drive #3
  • Collect Mayhem, head homewards
  • His long drive this time
  • Collect meds and fuel
  • Home at last

And now I work as fast as I can to get my offerings out before further shenanigans this evening. Yay

Challenge #04256-K238: Eyes That do Not See

Illness had rendered them blind. They had been told, after escaping their polity, the mediks here would make sure they could see again. But in the meantime.... "I wish I could still fight. That way, no one could hurt me again."

A soft voice nearby said. "That's not a problem, even unable to see, you can still learn to defend. Don't worry, I'll help you." -- The New Guy

I had learned how to use a stick to get around, in association

Sunday, Post Stream and Sleep

It's Mayhem's birthday today, so I wished him some happy returns. The lad returns to work on the morrow and I am roaming about for medical intervention that day too. Yay.

So no stream tomorrow.

I shall not expect myself to "win" this week. I'll do what I can, but I know I'm going to miss a day or two.

That's just how things are going to go this time around.

It's RiverFire this Saturday, so no game stream next weekend. Be

Challenge #04255-K237: Unpaid Respect

Horns looking of crystal, jewel-bright green eyes, soft pastel blue skin, the hellkin lived within a cottage surrounded by a beautiful gardens of flowers, food, and herbs. A sign over the walkway read "Those in need, please be welcomed."

Many the wealthy tried to get this living gemstone to live with them. Many have learned, sometimes the hard way, that this beauty also had the determination of a dragon, and the gifts of a wizard. -- Anon Guest

Saturday, Exhaustion Points

I made it through parkrun. Yay. My heel still hates me. Boo. I needed a nap after I got home because irrevocably awake at 2AM. Fun times.

Nap done with, I am disinclined to leave my bed again, so all my offerings come from my laptop to you. Anything else deemed unnecessary will wait until tomorrow. Possibly, tomorrow afternoon.

Sneezin' and Wheezin' Season is still kicking my butt, so I may have to leave my little sanctuary just to put myself on

Challenge #04254-K236: Cat Fishing

They were trying to reach into a vent after a lost tool. A skitty ran up and bit their arm. They pushed the skitty away and tried to reach again. The skitty attacked that arm again with teeth and claws. They backed up away from the skitty. Several sparks came from the vent. That skitty saved them from a lot worse injury. -- Anon Guest

Working on an old station has its charms. It has hazards to match, too. There's spaces that

Friday, Temporal Issues

I have been a busy busy bean, lately. So much of my time has been eaten with other needs. Yesterday and today, I had a late delivery of Mayhem to Maroochydore. Yesterday, I also had a series of fetch quests. Today... I decided to take it easy.

It was nice, but I still had to reheat my breakfast.

Tomorrow is parkrun. Sunday morning is game morning. Monday's when I'm supposed to post my Patreon stuff.

This coming Tuesday is going to be

Challenge #04253-K235: Peas For a Goober

It was as dark green as a soybean pod, but the little "peas" inside tasted ... like terran peanuts. Yet it didn't contain any of the chemicals within that was the cause of the allergy so many had to that legume. A safe peanut that those with allergies could try??

One of the scientists, a being with a nasty allergy to the nuts, threw caution to the wind and tried one, medicine at the ready just in case. There was no reaction. --

Thursday, Really Running Late

I was up at 4AM to do bread. Which is now baked and on the cooling rack. Yesterday's loaf is safe in its paper wrapping and tomorrow, I wrap the second one. Yay.

Pretty much immediately after that, I had to ferry Mayhem off to work. And after that, I went on a series of fetch quests. I got the remote for MeMum, a blackhead tool, a mouthguard to protect my teeth from grinding in my sleep, and some tech tools for

Challenge #04252-K234: In a Prickly Spot

They call themselves Holly, and we're best friends. I know they're a very advanced AI, but to me, they're still a person. They're in a body that looks like a lovely, silvery, mostly-human-shape the bosses chose. Once we're able to, Holly and I are going to escape this place. And we'll be able to choose our lives for ourselves. Holly wants to captain a ship of their own, and I plan on being at their side for as long as I can.

Wednesday, Run-Around and Forget-A-Lot

I wuzgunna post my Patreon shit on Monday, and then I forgot. I wuzgunna catch up, yesterday. Then I forgot. I hope to get my Patreon stuff posted today.

However...

  • I'm driving Mayhem to work, all things being good
  • I need to do a grocery run
  • I have a dentist's appointment
  • And terribad asthma
  • AND I'm baking bread today

I have over-extended so everything offering-oriented will be happening at a weird pace.

I'm doing my stretchies and will post this blog after

Challenge #04251-K233: Tiny and Deadly

The Gravity (aka Gravy) Drive pushed itself to its maximum. Its hull was damaged, the family within, several were hurt, and it was not going to let them down! Blaring every alert it could, it raced as fast as it could, perhaps recklessly so, toward the nearest base that could help it, and its loved ones. -- Anon Guest

Of all the critical damage a ship can suffer, one of the worst is debilitating damage to their Hungry Caterpillar object defense system.

Tuesday, Bread and Embuggerances

I was almost home from dropping Mayhem off in the far north worklands when I got a phone call. He actually had today off. Whee fun. So I had to pause my bread process [Wilson was growing in the incubator] and turn around to go and fetch the lad.

Good news - I can now not worry about bread timing.
Bad news - I'll still have to do that tomorrow

And I still gotta restock on a few things. They're a very

Challenge #04250-K232: So Many Evildoers...

Jay is... "on assignment", as it were. Mr. Sunshine was in a different assignment. Target one was gone, target two? They entered a side room to find four young boys, all taking lessons on being "good CEO's." None of them could be over the age of 9. Jay made sure the kids got to someone who cared for THEM, not just their future prospects. -- Anon Guest

Four kids looked up from their desks. Each desk was bolted to the floor, as

Monday, Unriddling Sickness, and shopping PLNs

Mayhem's certain that there's something in his room making him sick, so he's spending his sick days eliminating causes. Starting with the collections of fast food containers that have been breeding in dark corners.

I also suggested air circulation might help, so we're seeing how well that goes.

Meanwhile, I am still having Bad Air Days and that sucks. I also have to do some shopping, which will probably happen tomorrow. With all good luck, my stream will be occurring in time.
