Friday, In the Wars

I have to take it easy. Both my wrists hate me, despite my stretchies. I still have nerve janglies in my right thumb, and my left got bitten by a pen when I put the lid on it.

To help with my offerings, I am installing some speech/text software.

That might help rest my wrists.

Or so I hope.

I also have a cyclone headache so that's promising fun. And tomorrow, I go do the First Timer's Briefing for parkrun. Wheeee....

I still haven't heard from Mitre 10 about the Spandek. I'll bother them about it on Monday. Likely Monday afternoon because the VTTRPG session has changed to early-EARLY Monday morning.

I'll see how I go with that later on.

Challenge #04470-L086: Magical Gifts

A child's birthday wish is to ride on a dragon, just a little ride, maybe?

Bribrid, the gnome that is actually a dragon in disguise, agrees. -- Anon Guest

It's not every day a person turns ten. It's even rarer to turn ten after undoing the plans of a great evil by accident. Wort hadn't meant to break the idol, but their bad foot had turned them off balance and the Master had told them to hurry or get another whipping.

Thursday, Physio, Spandek, and Ouchies

I have been reminded to do my wrist stretchies by a persistent pain in my right wrist. At least the container bite from packaging rice has healed. But I still need to wear the thumb splint because nerve janglies.

It's time to take off. BRB.

I return.

Even the physio can't figure out what the hell I did to myself. I shall continue with rest and being very careful with how I handle the household taps.

I also have to keep today's

Challenge #04469-L085: When in Doubt...

A: are you sure this building is up to spec?

B: trust me I had the best engineers working on this project everything this geometrical perfect to ±0.003 tolerance.

A: I may be a lowly contractor, but the wall is 92° from where I’m standing.

B: I-impossible I had it tripled checked before installation!

A: there’s a mountain goat licking for salt around 90 m above us -- Anon Guest

Wednesday, Tech Support Leyland's Tour

I am currently out with MeMum, one tech issue dealt with and awaiting a good breakfast. During the rush. Yay.

With all good luck, I should have at least a story for you this afternoon. I don't know about the rant. It might not occur tomorrow, either, because physio and incoming spandek. The receipt for which I forgot in my bag. Whoops.

I hope a photo will do.

I also hope that they come on the Thursday like they said.

Challenge #04468-L084: Everyone's Related

What happens when you invite everyone who are a part of your family through marriage and birth, invites everyone from THEIR families, for those individuals are your family as well, from marriage and birth, and THOSE individuals invite everyone from THEIR families through marriage and birth, and so forth?

You get everyone in the entire world going to one giant family reunion. Though figuring out all the branches of this family tree can be quite interesting. -- Anon Guest

Tuesday, Patreon and Date Night

I have finished a chapter of ADT! Hooray. Since it's a number divisible by five, I now owe some recordings. BUT... because date plns, I'm trying to focus on the daily offerings first.

If I don't get to the nonsense today, I'll get to it... Thursday. Because I already have PLNs to go help MeMum with nonsense.

Whee fun.

I also need to find a time window to concoct something for the Archive. I have some ideas, but nothing's popped into my

"What are you doing with all that plant waste and old clothing you're shredding?"

I'm going to make homemade paper.

"Paper out of clothing and old plants??"

Yep, it's going to be a very pretty soft green. -- Anon Guest

The thing about space travel is that it's difficult to take everything with you. Since it is the longest possible trip from A to B, taking everything for the trip means even more fuel expended to push it all towards B. Or

Monday, Backup Reads and Shopping PLNs

The cats need food, the fam needs protein, flavour, and little things. I have a bit of a Leyland's Tour ahead of me, which will commence as soon as the group's done with the backup reads. I have five stops this time and I can only hope I have enough money to cover our needs.

I'm good at juggling finances.

When I get back, that's when my offerings shall occur. Which means I can focus on being Prepared(tm) for social time

Challenge #04466-L082: Breakable But Better

In the early days, when humans were first officially recognized by the alliance, not a lot was known about them. Imagine the shock, and a little bit of fear, when injuries, including internal bruising, though no bleeding, and broken bones, not only didn't send the human into shock, but also didn't require full sedation or surgeries. And even more surprising was their recovery rate! -- New Guy

First, there were a few incidents. Close encounters, near misses, glimpses in unfamiliar territory. And

Sunday, Game Nights and Interesting PLNs

I need to get more supplies for the fam. I actually left the house to get meds, today. Considering the backup reads, the plans with Beloved for Tuesday... and some in-fam tech issues... I'm going to be a busy bean this coming week.

Fun times.

I have my second loaf in the incubator and baking today. Yay. I forgot to turn on the incubator so I have to add another hour after the current timer runs out.

Whoops.

One more hour into

Challenge #04465-L081: For the Greater Good

The planet's population was quarantined due to an illness outbreak. "Pure Life" groups kept trying to stop the Galactics and their allies from going in, even trying to use force, because "adaptation is the only way for a population to become immune." The humans with common sense laugh at them and plow through, saving it from becoming a dead world. -- Anon Guest

Saturday, Parkrun and Date PLNs

There's a movie called Mickey 17 out in cinemas now. There's another one called The Day the Earth Blew Up coming soon. Both of these are my personal must-sees. So we have a couple of date nights arranged. Yay.

I need to preheat the oven, arrange dough and shape at least one loaf. Since I have to get up at Awful AM tomorrow, I'll be doing my second loaf later on that day.

My shoulder's still giving me trouble and I've discovered

Challenge #04464-L080: But My PyxtokGram!

It is a time of peril, so while others are doing preventative measures. Others are wandering in the most dangerous sorts, taking 'selfies' and going where they should not, just to see what it's like. -- She Who Knits

Friday, One Emergency at a Time Please

I have to make bread. I have found and ordered the spandek to fix the catio. One issue down. I discovered that I still get nerve jangles in my thumb, but not for the big things. I found this out when messing around with the bread incubator. But I can still handle my cane without janglies, and write with a pen...

So yeah. I started a second story in the Butcher's Book.

Relating to the title for today's blog... I had a
