Challenge #03881-J229: Catch and Release

Within the infinite expanse of the multiverse the existence of humans are questionable at best. For the universes that do host Homo sapiens, there is one multiversal constant. Humans are the most [KERATINOUS SKULL PROJECTION] beings in the universe. Even in the universe that can be best described as warhammer 40K, Jahhatai Khan is cruising the vastness of space in search of xenoussy. -- Anon Guest

[AN: Not doing Warhammer, because I only know it via osmosis. Also because using someone else's IP for debatable profit/income is illegal. Also also, it is going to be such fun keeping this story PG (/sarcasm)]

Humans will try to pet anything. That's the polite way to put it. No matter what the cogniscent species looks like, there will be some Human who will seek out a way to engage in pleasurable haptic feedback.

They have a legend who created a standard for such interactions The Archivaas are still debating as to whether or not Captain Jack Harkness was a real Human.

Some Humans have a personal mission to 'collect' members of all available species and genders. Given the scope of that objective, many Humans with this goal are going to die trying.

Wednesday, Wordpress, Ekka Day

Queensland's having a public holiday so everyone can catch and spread the latest infectious disease at the Ekka Showgrounds, and thereafter their school or workplace.

Huzzah.

I am staying the flakk away from that noise. The QPP are playing Baldur's Gate 3 together. It's only tonight that we go out to place and do thing.

It's Beloved's Outaversary, so she dictates the entire evening.

And it's in my best interests to get the offerings out as quickly as I can so that

Challenge #03880-J228: Fluff and Nonsense

They were Deathworlders, but they needed a much stronger Deathworlder around to help with the missions. Their thick fur, almost like the wool of Terran sheep, was shedding, it was that time of year. The human respectfully asked to have the discards, much to their confusion. Until the human explained about turning that shedding fur into crafts. It eventually became quite an interesting thing for them, and a bit of a profit, too. -- Anon Guest

Deathworlders, like Havenworlders, come in a

Tuesday, Patreon and Budget Hole

I thought payday was today.

I was WRONG.

So now I'm four days' short on the cat food accounts. I have sought out advice on what to do about this, but I suspect the felines will be getting kibble only and giving death glares for that duration.

I plan on finishing a chapter I started this morning before posting everything I have to offer up on Patreon.

There shall be offerings at some point and at another, I shall draw another duck.

Challenge #03879-J227: Ill Met by Stormlight

They met with a family at the inn. The children were coughing with colds, and the parents were tired, trying to get their children to nap. -- Anon Guest

Hellkin deal with the animosity they face in several ways. The most eloquent way of putting it was oft repeated between the elder and the younger ones.

"There's two ways to go when the world hates you for being alive. You either be worse than what they say you are, or try yourself

Monday, Return to 'Normal'

The schedule is back in action as Beloved is free to do such. I had her in my bed for the first time in six firkin weeks. Needless to say that I am in a much better mood this morrow.

I have also warned Beloved not to do any more stunts.

I have drawn today's duck [four of nine] and if I keep going at this rate, I shall have to do some coding soon.

Le Dread.

I'm shit at programming and

Challenge #03878-J226: Battlefield Truce

"Grit your teeth and bear it."

The wounded individual screamed out in pain as heated alcohol, not hot enough to burn the flesh but very uncomfortable, poured over the wound.

"I won't let you die. I know you feel like you want to die right now, and I know we're enemies, but you're hurt, and you saved those innocent civilians. We soldiers fight, but sometimes, compassion is more important than this damn war." -- Anon Guest

There is no glory in war.

Sunday, Streaming and Snuggles

As I write this, my Beloved is likely stirring herself from bed or is already in the markets with Adorable.

It's when they're done with THAT that Beloved boards a train and I go to pick her up for the rest of the day.

Fun times ahead for us.

In about half an hour, I shall be streaming some flash fiction. Thereafter, I may or may not take a napnap before my Beloved calls for a pickup.

It will loan me plenty

Challenge #03877-J225: Progressive Engineering

"How did your people study storms such as twisters in your past?" Human - "Oh, we drove big, heavy, vehicles right into the paths of these storms and studied them from the inside."

"Those must've been marvels of engineering, with caterpillars and all to anchor them."

Human - "Nope, just heavy cars with a bunch of armor welded on, kinda like a big tin can with an anchor, and us praying our luck held. Here's a video!"

"I'll say it again what

Saturday, Parkrun and Leyland's Tour

Beloved has taken a disused computer tower from our place to Adorable's so there's more chance of us sharing games or such of the like.

Tomorrow, I do my stream nonsense, and then pick up Beloved at the train station for a day of Baldur's Gate and snuggles.

Today, I get on with my offerings and have a napnap.

Tomorrow, I fully anticipate getting buggerall else done but the barest of basics.

Stay tuned for that.

Let's get going.

Challenge #03876-J224: Alive and Unharmed

I read your story and I could not help but grin at the comments. Could you elaborate from them?

"Bring them in ALIVE, understand?"

"Whole?"

"They need to be alive to stand trial."

"We promise the prisoner will be very much alive, and will be able to be made healthy enough to stand trial."

"Remember ALIVE means their BODY also has to remain alive, as well as the brain!"

"Don't worry, we promise they will be very much physically and mentally alive

Friday, An Attempt

I tried to change things up with The Bikkie this week. In that I was attempting to create something different, I succeeded.

In that I was trying for something tasty... I failed.

In retrospect, I should have let it rise longer and maybe punched it down more than once. Live. Learn. Maybe next time.

The result was a brick of a loaf. One heavy food item, but not a sod, thank the Powers.

I got a little over halfway through it before

Challenge #03875-J223: Point of Disorder

The CRC and several Alliance officials come together to discuss the shocking turn of events. The humans have begun to befriend, the Thranityr and help more and more clans go from being Vorax to being contributing citizens. Even to the point of becoming full allies with the humans. -- Anon Guest

"They're Humans," said one of the board members present in the quorum. "They'll pack-bond with anything alive. Even the things so toxic it'd kill them to touch it. They just invent

Thursday, Game Night and Relax Perhaps?

I'm going through some emotional stuff between Beloved and myself. Stress and stressors and anxiety all in an unseemly heap and date night was a lot of crying and argument.

I'm getting all that unloaded in a different blog.

Stuff off my chest accomplished, I'm still feeling a little frazzled. I am going to go offline to draw ducks after I am done doing the offerings for the interwebs.

...and the voice recordings for Adorable so she can hear my novel in

Challenge #03874-J222: Pitching Therapy Assistance

I made a special virtual reality program for people with explosive tempers. When they get angry, they go into the specially padded room, put on the VR goggles and haptic feedback suit and gloves, and do whatever they need to do to get it out of their system. There's been a lot of success in helping people control their tempers until they can get to the Let it out rooms. -- Anon Guest

[AN: As far as anger management is concerned, mindful
