Challenge #03715-J062: A Gift From Lack

A traveling druid saw Wraithvine in their encampment late one night, along with hir friends. And snuck up to give a gentle, kind, blessing. -- Anon Guest

Well, well. Walk long enough and you see everything. Once more on his long path between their location and destination, the Wudzgaad Druid found something they weren't looking for. To be correct about it, someone they weren't looking for.

The eternal Elf, the ever-wandering Wizard, changer of fates and so on. The living legend. Wraithvine.

Currently at rest, meditating about a foot off the ground. It was something of a wonder to see an Elf in such a perfect state of peace.

Friday, continuing efforts

I have to clean the catio this afternoon. It's already too warm for me. In the meantime, I am making progress with Map 15 and may yet finish it without experiencing a crash. Fingers crossed.

There's some steps I'm leaving for last on purpose.

On my continuing agenda is getting another week tagged and another chapter summarised as well as the map shenanigans.

I'm getting there. One little baby step at a time.

Challenge #03714-J061: Change a Life, Change the World

Wraithvine to the pickpocket. "What are you doing?"

The pickpocket to Wraithvine. "I'm hungry."

Gikka, smiling. "We have a cure for that." -- Anon Guest

Some precautions are very wise to heed. Never eat a Kobold's cooking without knowing exactly what went into it. Never call a Hellkin 'teuf' if you want to live the day. And never, ever try to pick a pocket of a Wizard.

Scram was finding this out, looking to get one of the sweet buns

Challenge #03713-J060: Motives to Change

He changed everything, for her. He went to B'Nar to have his appearance changed, for her. He got a different job to make her happy. He moved away from his home, for her. Then she said he wasn't enough, and left for another. He is going through intense therapy, because of her.

And she thinks she can just waltz back and get him to come back to her?

Her ways need to change, for HIM! -- Anon Guest

Wednesday, Wordpress and Output

I didn't get much of the output done, yesterday. Mostly because I was dealing with a scammer. That kind of thing fries my brain out.

At least I wasn't phished in.

This week's Wordpress will be more of Kosh's fanficcy shenanigans, and I can tell you that there are VAST differences between the fanfic and the novel(s).

I suspect there will be fans going down that rabbit hole in depth when it's published. [gotta believe it WILL be published] That's going

Challenge #03712-J059: Bootstraps Not Included

On the planet, the women disappeared, the CEO's replaced them with robotic women.

On the planet, the men and children disappeared, the CEO's replaced them with AI workers.

On the planet, the AI began to fade away, the workers began to stop working.

The CEO's demanded their people return.

The living, now freed, individuals shouted back "Use your bootstraps!" -- Anon Guest

"Nobody ever handed me anything on a silver platter," said CEO Zalmoxis Morong as he plucked a petit four offered

Tuesday, Patreon and a Rough Night

Beloved came home in the wee small hours, and I had some aggressively intermittent sleep until like 7AM. By then, the heat was already into the day and I couldn't therefore get the catio cleaned up early.

Blargh.

Fingers crossed, this afternoon will be cool enough to allow me to do that.

If not, tomorrow morning will be the next bet.

Onwards to the Patreon posting and the story of the day.

Let's do this.

Challenge #03711-J058: Spirit of the Season

Making sure to follow safety protocols, a human follows the customs of their homeworld and culture, and, at the holiday, begins to deliver treats and thoughtful gifts to all of their shipmates. The other two humans do the same. Then, on the day of holiday, cook a large meal, carefully prepared, for everyone to enjoy together. -- Anon Guest

It was one of the humans' prettier holidays, they had to admit. The Ships' Human, Dzef, had spent most of hir time printing

Challenge #03710-J057: Handle With Extreme Care

"Don't do it."

"Do what?"

They look to the two vials in one hand, and two more in another.

"You know what."

"I want to know what'll happen."

Looks at the lack of safety gear.

"I WILL call your parentals!"

"Ok, ok..... I'll put the suit on first, sheesh!" -- Anon Guest

"What even are these?" asked Lab Tech Quinn as ze peered at the vials.

"Ordinary household chemicals," said Student Bop. In his favour, he began to shrink a little in

Sunday, Tale Foundry and Streaming Nonsense

I've already done the Game Stream, and I'm watching Tale Foundry. I can't do my usual stunt of writing the next story in advance. Because the leads on the vote are tied.

So I shall spend the intervening minutes working on another chapter of A Devil's Tale because I need to have those to keep my Beloved happy. Well. I also want to have those. Because this whole book is fun.

For the second time, DungeonDraft crashed as I was trying to

Challenge #03709-J056: What's it Feel Like?

They're 6 ft tall, they look like great, big, fluffy, plushie versions of lizards, due to their home planet being a rather cold place, and humans are absolutely sqee'ing in delight. To the humans, these creatures, Deathworlders like them, are so absolutely adorable it's almost painful! -- Anon Guest

They were called the Quetzaloq, and they were indeed feathered lizards. They met the Humans on a frosty world they were both looking at for resort capability. For an uncomfortable moment, ape met

Challenge #03708-J055: What it Says on the Tin

Only humans would be stupid enough to create a space-race track that went THROUGH an asteroid belt, and called it their "obstacle course section". Thank the POWERS the small racing shuttles had safety features! -- Anon Guest

[AN: Hollywood has mislead so many about what asteroid fields are like. So in order to enhance the reality of my imaginary future, I'm turning the obstacle course into a ships' graveyard]

Explaining the Manic Million to non-Humans was always the problem. Anything the Humans

Friday, On Point for a Change

I have cleaned the catio before I sat down to write. I am keeping my temptation to play Dyson Sphere Program at bay until I have at least done the mandatory output.

Last time I tried fixing a map, the app crashed. I try again today.

I also aim to feed my starters, summarise a chapter, and tag a week of fic.

There will be Bikkie.

Tomorrow promises to be interesting, as the morning is full of Parkrun and the evening is
