Sunday, Tale Foundry and Proceeding

I did my DM'ing, I did my story stream, had a sleep and now I'm up to publishing. Yay.

I made a start on chapter 334 of A Devil's Tale and I might get around to finishing it. I might even get as far as writing the next one.

I doubt, but it's good to hope.

I should also get on with reviewing other Foundry entries so I have a chance to be randomly selected for the reading next week.

All of that will be happening when I'm good and ready to do that. Today, relatively speaking, is a day of rest.

I aim to just enjoy whatever I'm in the mood for, today. After I get those offerings out there, of course.

So let's get that done.

Challenge #03954-J302: First, Do No Harm

A school has a massive garden with herbs, fruits, and vegetables almost as far as the eye can see. Here, some of the best healers in the world are taught their trade. Here, people also learn to cook, season, and care for others. -- Anon Guest

It's easy to mistake the School of Helpful Hands for a Druidic grove. The plants are abundant and bountiful. There are lush herbs from all over the world growing there. Some in hothouses. The animals there

Saturday, Parkrun, Anxiety, and One More Week

I got the wibbly wobblies because looming undefined terror that will likely reveal itself in the fullness of time after it's passed.

Fun times.

I got dental looming. We have financial nonsense looming. I need to make a start on the 2K summary of Beauties... so I can edit it down and then work on the blurbs and THEN... start summarising another firkin book.

And I have a long day looming tomorrow. Starting at 3AM.

...and sore GD wrists already.

My current

Challenge #03953-J301: Not About Winning or Losing

A: There’s a story behind every law.

B: Is that’s the reason why this place has a book of rules?

A: Honestly I’m surprised they haven’t banned me yet -- Anon Guest

"Oh come on," sighed Lali. "It can't be that bad. This is a little town. There can't be that many rules just because you're in it."

The Hellkin student of Hidden Cloud Landscaping and Boarding School, known only as 'K', smirked in a very knowing way.

Friday, ANXIETY... and usual business

I am making a Phone Call today [Dramatic sting]. To book myself and the spawn in for the Rona Vax. Gotta make sure they all have water to drink before the jabs, too. On the day, of course.

I also have the usual Bikkie, Catio, Offerings, Recordings situation to deal with. And maybe even Rainbow Socials tonight.

I am currently procrastinating on the phone call.

Deep breaths.

I got this.

Just... make the appointment, mention that Mayhem can't have the Pfizer because

Challenge #03952-J300: The Affection Conundrum

"Help me! I've just realized.... I'm deeply in love with our Ship's human. I know our bodies are completely incompatible, and yet, I can't help it. Every part of me wants to be with them, what do I do??" -- Anon Guest

[AN: This is going to be EXTRA fun since I'm valiantly trying to keep these stories PG]

Love is many things, none of them based in logic or reason. Or, for that matter, common sense. Love... wants, and what it

Thursday, Disrupted Plans and Dealing With

Okay. We planned to have a nice date night, but Beloved got ill because Rona Vax Blargies. So date night cancelled.

I was going to a walk-in for our own Rona Vax, but the only place that did walk-ins had expired vaccines so that was also a nope.

So now I have to call the docs and arrange for the three of us [myself, Mayhem, and Chaos] to get the all-important jab.

And I may have to see about getting the Flu

Challenge #03951-J299: What Do You Mean, Again?

A young god offers to make Wraithvine a god. They do not know that Wraithvine is already a 'living god' worshipped by an ever-growing number of individuals. They only know how kind the gentle elf is, yet how strong and firm, they are, and wanted to reward them for all that they have done. -- Anon Guest

Deification is weird. Gods are wont to spring forth from any number of causes. Some mortals meet extraordinary circumstances, like falling into the well of

Wednesday, Wordpress and Date Night

I'm due to add more angst juice to the tank over on Wordpress, and also due to pick up my Beloved this evening for another night of delights.

I'm back to reading a chapter of Adapting a day, and trying to read five chapters and do my Patreon was one heck of a workload.

I was worn out by the time I was done with my offerings for the day. At least today promises to be breezier.

I am about to commence

Challenge #03950-J298: Truth is...

A demon lord, a dragon, and a wizard team up to fight against those that would harm the innocent. And, sadly, their main opponents tend to be those that claim their causes are "holy" and the innocent villages are the "guilty ones." Whatever happened to beings who claim to be of the light actually helping people? -- Anon Guest

[AN: There is only one Demon Lord, usually, and that's the one who lights the Blood Throne of Whitekeep. However, the Hellkin children

Tuesday, Patreon and Workload

I have completed five more chapters of A Devil's Tale, so I'll be reading some of that rather than more of Adapting. I can only read one chapter of Adapting a day and have my throat still want to know me by nighttime. ADT has much shorter chapters so I can do five of those per diem.

I really borked the programming attempts with Stencyl, so I'll have to use screencaps to regress to the previous stage of nearly working. None of

Challenge #03949-J297: Odd Tools

The Duke It Out program is installed on any ship, or station, VR that has Pax Humanis members on it. The rooms always are well padded with self-repairing material and the VR is battle-tested equipment, just in case.

It's helped them quite a bit to vent frustrations.

[AN: Duke It Out is 100% virtuality. The body is kept mostly still during the experience. BUT perhaps some folk can wriggle around more than the

Monday, Bits and Bobs

Those of you who follow me on Tumblr may be aware, but for everyone who goes here, first - I started posting a fanfic today. I have at least three other WIPs to finish on an 'unprofessional' level as well as the continuing saga of A Devil's Tale.

I might have five chapters to read to Adorable by tomorrow. Depends on where my muse leads me.

Possibly in every direction at once.

Today, I have finally finished the chapter-by-chapter summary of Beauties

Challenge #03948-J296: Up, Up, and Away

Want an example of human insanity my friend? Think of using the equivalent of a powerful blow-torch to heat up air in a big cloth bag, and riding underneath it on a flammable wicker basket. -- Anon Guest

Honestly, the Humans should have stopped with eggshells and smouldering tapers. That sort of thing demonstrated the principal and didn't involve risk to life or limb. Unfortunately, Humans get bored very easily. They also ask questions like, "What are the limits here?"

Which they
