Plague Diary

A 2035-post collection

Saturday, Absolute Chaos!

Beloved initially had PLNs to take most of the fam to Scenic Coominya for the benefit of Capt S. BUT Miss Chaos has a hair appointment and I firkin need sleep in order to function.

Therefore Beloved has elected to only ask KIABIL if he wants to come along and is leaving Mayhem at home. She may be alone on the journey. I hope not.

Today should be the day that one annoyance gets dealt with. Hopefully permanently.

As for tonight... Beloved is taking me dancing. AND there might be D&D. Which could either be fun or damaging. Time will tell. Either way, none of us have time to turn around and scratch our bums.

I have to keep an eye on the time as I do stuff this morning, and nap as soon as it's over this afternoon. Yay. AND I might not make it to game night at all. Sigh.

And I have NO idea what's happening tomorrow. Blargh.

I give myself too much to do and when other nonsense needs me... It all ends up in a huge mess.

At minimum, I shall get ten publishers filtered. That's a nice, quick job. If I can edit chapters, I will, but I'm not holding myself to a set amount at all. And I acknowledge that I might not have time to build a chamber or a void of the dungeon, today.

I kind of feel bad about that, since dungeon building has been lagging of late. But only because earning efforts take time and are more important than games. AND once I'm done filtering, I'll have another time window for the chambering. Huzzah.

BUT for now, I do what I can where I can and try not to feel guilty about it. Starting with storytime.

Friday, Catching up?

Beloved is off to work. The fam does not expect much of me, so today - energy willing - I shall be doing the "normal" routine.

Starting with a chamber of dungeon, since I've not done any of that for a significant time. I shall then clean out the catio since that also needs to be done and then either filter ten more publishers (quick) or edit ten more chapters of Adapting (bloody slow).

Between those two writing processes, I shall make

Thursday, William Tell Overture

Today is Mayhem's bifdy and what he gets on graduating to official adulthood is working for his keep. If he can't pay rent, he pays sweat equity.

Welcome to adulting, kiddo. Nobody rides for free.

My PLNs today involve travelling down to MeMum's, taking her shopping for nonsense whilst Mayhem does the tech support. He's already demonstrated that I can't trust him to wait for Miss Chaos, so...

I'm taking him with me and that cuts my time in half. Blargh. BUT.

Tuesday, Patreon, and maybe shopping?

We're short on cream and I need to get more, so that's going to be an interesting journey. I cried the last time there was a grocery shop.

At least this time I can focus on what we need, get it, and get out. And I have some cashes to help alleviate the impact on my bank account.

Yesterday, I did manage to filter ten more potential publishers. Some have specific time windows when they're open for submissions, so I may have

Long Monday, No PLNs

I should edit ten more chapters. I should filter ten more publishers. I should build at least one more chamber or one more void in TaleSpire.

BUT I'm already tired as fuck so none of that is likely to happen.

Monday's the day I expect nothing out of myself. And also the day that I usually end up writing like three chapters of A Devil's Tale. There's an equal chance that I will just sleep all day.

We shall see.

Beloved taketh

Sunday, Game Night

Tale Foundry cancelled because Meatspace shenanigans. I should take the time to do a self care, but... eh. I have the dunwannas.

At a point between tonight and tomorrow, Fenri is running a game. This is going to be especially interesting since his computer is a pile of dogshit with a monitor attached and a few computer chips stuck in it.

I predict chaos.

I'm filling in time until I do my story stream for the day. I'll begin with the sifting,

Saturday, Day of Rest?

I am experimenting with my sleep cycle today. Seeing if getting to sleep in the vicinity of 10PM will help me not run out of battery at midday.

Beloved is off visiting Capt. S and will be off all day. I hope she takes one or both of the kids as company. She needs it, methinks.

I will be feeding my Starters and making the Bikkie, since I ran out of oomph to do it yesterday.

I did manage to re-filter the

Friday, Unfuckening, Long Covid

I'm pretty sure my Cortisol levels are at rock bottom. I am constantly tired and everything is an effort. Hell, I fell over asleep yesterday instead of doing book edits and filtering publishers.

AND I need to re-filter the publishers I've already filtered and sort according to whether or not they take Steampunk because I have some of those to sell as well.

Today, I have halved my roid puffer intake to see if I can deal. So far, so good.

Thursday, Catching Up

Good news! We found a complete copy of Adapting to throw at publishers, and I have pasted the last words into the master document, as well as saved the spare to my drive. That will do until I find more robust storage methods.

The magic cable was one that interfaced with Beloved's Cricut. So yay. Love of magic devices pays off at long last.

Bad news! I also have to edit the master document to make sure all the breaks for chapters

Wednesday, Wordpress, Date Night

I gave my love a stuffed shark [the one from Ikea] and she laughed. I made my love a sparkly cake that was COVERED in buttercream icing. By request. I also put every shiny sprinkle I could get on the top. I am told that I nailed it more than I failed it so... Win?

I dunno.

What we DO know is that we're never doing buttercream ever again. Ye GODS that stuff is lethal.

In order of majority, here's the basicest

Tuesday, Patreon, PLNs

Today is my Beloved's Outaversary! Which means I will be baking and frosting a cake to the best of my limited ability, and wrapping a present that is a very awkward shape.

I shall also be posting my Patreon stuff today and buying kittycat fodder and litter. I has the money. We shall see how far it goes.

I already know. Not very. Blargh.

Firkin economy.

Tomorrow, my love and I will be cable hunting. I predict frustration abounding. We shall see.

Monday, Long Covid? Social PLNs

It's not a Long Monday. I cancelled Game Night because Beloved told me at 8PM that there was a dinner we're meant to go to this evening.

So my choices were: a lot of caffeine and being lackluster for the latter half of a 48-hour day, or get some firkin SLEEP and shine for the important stuff.

My mob apparently gave up on game night too. Dag.

Sigh.

We're pondering easier ways to make the dungeons happen so we can get on

Sunday, Game Night? And Run Around

We're visiting Capt. S today so I may not be streaming game(s) tonight. Be warned.

Immediately after I do the publish cycle, I am getting spruced up to visit ailing fam. I might take the iPad with me because I can work on it offline and not need to worry about data costs.

So I might make some progress on the wedding outfit too. Fingers crossed.

Intent sails out the window if my brain and bod decide to nap in the

Saturday, Plague Day 26, day of rest?

Game night tomorrow night and I have no idea what's happening. D&D with Discord tonight is a hard MAYBE depending entirely on whoever wants to turn up for the game.

Sigh.

I can still say that I have never played a D&D campaign from Session 0 to level 20 and a good end. Blargh. At least I have a book compelling me to write so that is something.

The weather is dingy and miserable this morning so I

Friday, Plague Day 25, An Attempt?

I now know that the tremula is one hundred percent the result of the roid puffer. How did I learn?

I forgot to take it last night so this morning was amazingly tremula-free until I took it. Yay.

It did take most of the day, but I got most of Mum's online stuff sorted. She still can't do internet banking because of an ouroborous entry system. That's going to necessitate talking to a person at the branch.

Today, I am going to
