Saturday, New Year's Eve

I did my personal best 5K today. Kept up a good pace for most of it, too. Then, following brunch and cake, attempted to find a new keyboard/cover for my iPad Pro.

I got this thing in 2015.

Guess how often it's likely that the shops have a replacement?

Yup.

Time to get one hand-crafted from Tanegashima.

That can wait. The old iPad is still useful even though I have to use the on-screen keyboard. I can edit anywhere with it and it does not cost us any extra.

I may be finding it easier to just pay for a version of GoogDocs that works offline for my Asus Lappy. Whichever is cheaper.

Which may mean that I will be using the iPad for arting in the near future. It all depends as to whether GoogDocs for the Asus will work as offline as the iPad does.

We shall discuss when my love and I are conscious in the same room.

Next year is the tenth year that I will be working on my daily flash fictions. Holy shit. Sometime in February is the anniversary of that thing.

Ten years is also the time window for the world to notice that I have been doing a thing. Do something for ten years, they say, and the world will notice. That's been my plan for so far.

I have no other ideas on how to advertise.

I really need to find some other ideas on how to get the word out.

Any suggestions?

Friday, Unfuckening PLNs

Since everyone's doing Top Whatever Lists at this time of year, I have collated one of my own. I'll be keeping tabs on the last few and releasing that thing on New Year's Day.

Thursday, Workarounds

I have conquered the 10AM problem! At some point between 10AM and noon, my compy just decides it doesn't like working for some reason.

So, I wrap up my nonsense before or just after 10. Then go do something else on my lappy until it's literally after noon.

Then I get on with getting on with other stuff. I could plausibly tag fics on my lappy during this. I will probably end up writing an entire chapter of A Devil's Tale.

Wednesday, Wordpress and Technical Issues

I spilled a bit of fizzy drink on my keyboard and the new one is a little on the temperamental side. It's not letting me do some things and writing with it promises to be a pain in the butt.

Tuesday, Patreon and Chill

I have bargained some time to do my output duties from Beloved. So it's in my best interests to do two quick ones and then race through the Patreon stuff as fast as I can manage.

I dropped off MeMum to her home and got home JUST before the roads filled up with migratory beachgoers. So I consider myself lucky to have done that when I did.

Saturday, Crimbo Eve

So. We're picking up a friendo to go to the only Parkrun open in the Brisbane-ish area on Crimbo Eve, this morning. Which means a launch from our place at 5:30 AM

Friday, the Crimbolening

It's the day before a MULTITUDE of shenanigans. So we have to finish unfucking the house, organising our nonsense.

Which means a lot of time offline.

I shall be cleaning the catio, making The Bikkie, tidying up garbage, washing stuff, drying stuff, and setting stuff in order.

Thursday, Continued Unfuckening and Game Night?

It's so close to Crimbo and the crunch is on. I didn't get around to de-messing the table. Did get around to wrapping all the presents with an incidental Help Me Rennie as the kids got their Crimbo gifts prepared.
