Friday, Foods and Funtimes

I am temporarily done with recording chapters of A Devil's Tale. So I began recording chapters of Adapting just for the heck of it.

First lesson: Shorter chapters are WAY easier to read. Yay.

Second lesson: If I want to do a professional version, I'm going to need a LOT of editing alongside the more professional setup.

I also need to price and source some things in order to have a professional setup. I have an idea for a foldable sound-baffling screen that could be 1000% horseshit, but I at least believe I have a workable concept.

I went out to get sammich stuff, a food bill that ended up costing us a little over a hundred dollarydoos. I bought stuff in bulk and I got it cheap, and I still don't know if it's going to last for the fortnight.

The $20 limit per bulk thing tends to save my buttocks more often than not.

My car's getting expensive in its old age, and looking into a replacement might make economical sense. Beloved insists that zippy little cars are not yet extinct, but I've been seeing a whole bunch of landbarges everywhere. I just looked, and the Duck of Wisdom says they are still around.

I've almost finished the chapter summary of Beauties so that will be shifting to 2K summary drafting.

Everything's moving forward. Whether we can afford it or not.

It's going to be a tight fortnight, and solving all the issues is going to be a huge enormous bitch.

If only I could get paid for my notes on the interwebs... sigh... I could have some pocket money off of that BG3 post I did once.

Thursday, Game Night and Some Changes

Today, I read the last group of five chapters for Adorable. There will be more later, but I'm reading them in batches of five.

Tomorrow, I dial up Adapting and see what my limit is with reading that raw audio. I've selected an arbitrary figure of ten alternate reads. That should give me time to do some other things.

Who knows? I may even find some time to firkin enjoy myself. Get back to playing the sexy vampire game, maybe.

Wednesday, Wordpress, Car Maintenance, and a Date

In one hour, allegedly, the nice ppl from Lube Mobile will turn up to service my car. Since it's no longer in warranty, this will be cheaper and take less time than going to Torque Ford. And that is why I am camped by the front door and listening for car noises.

This may or may not make me more effective at getting my offerings, but it will make the day a little more interesting.

Tuesday, Patreon and Busy Bean

My Beloved has a lot of shenanigans tomorrow. So I shall be working by remote. I have a lot to share with my peeps on Patreon, today. It feels like I've bitten off more than I can chew.

I gotta do it so that I shall have less waiting for me to do. More gets done, less left to do. Theoretically.

Monday, Shrink Day and Foundry

It's happened. I had someone compare my WIP to the Bible. As in, the Good Book is LIGHT READING compared to whatever the fuck I have going on.

I'm sure other writers have been told to tone it down in the same way.

Sunday, Day of Rest

Yesterday:

  1. Did Parkrun/brunch
  2. Got dressed up for a birthday party
  3. Worked at Adorable's place so I wouldn't get too deep into work at home and forget the party was on
  4. Went to the party
  5. Which went WAY late
  6. I did not get to bed until half-past 11 PM

So I had to cancel my streams.

Saturday, Parkrun, Democracy, and Social Shenanigans

We did the fitness thing this morning, and owing to stuff this afternoon, I am currently working on the mobile arrangement. We're wishing a friendo a merry birthmas [I think?] so we're going out for an evening of frivolity and fun.

Fortunately I was able to plan for this and, as the sole bean able to drive, arranged for myself and the spawn to have voted early. Now I have less concerns about whom I may be ferrying where. Yay.

Friday, Unfuckening and extra PLNs

I took the kids early voting this morning. Mostly because I will be roaming all over the countryside on voting day. We did homemade democracy sausage thereafter. Cheap bread and cheap sausage ftw.

Thursday, Game Night and Cuddles

I have my Beloved for another evening, this week. I am making myself either one or many dinners with the slow cooker. I've got some pork tongues slowly stewing with the following:

  • Probably about a litre of cheap white vinegar [I measured all this with my heart]
  • About 2 tbsp powdered ginger
  • A pinch of whole peppercorns
  • A generous pinch of salt
  • 5 whole cloves
  • About 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 2 granny smith apples, finely sliced

Wednesday, Patreon and Date Night

Beloved has therapy this morning, so I don't get to see her until this afternoon. I'm already dressed up fancy for the night.

IDK what we're doing since we're out of moneys. Quiet night in, mayhaps. But at least I look good for it.

It's been an expensive pay cycle, this time around. I feel guilty for not working harder to get my books ready for flicking at publishers. But I can only do so much at any given time.

We didn't have enough to play VTTRPG this morning, so Fiver and I played BG3 together. Much hilarity abounded.

Cake for breakfast is one of the better perks of a birthday week. The cake is running out and should be out of temptation range very soon to now.
