Realm of the InterNutter

Thoughts, stories and ideas.

Wednesday, Blog Rant and Business

I have another rant due today. One of my many offerings for today. Having finished five chapters, I shall be reading them for Adorable.

Coffee doesn't seem to be working. Neither does a sound night's sleep. I've had both and the sleepiness continueth. Drat.

I'm going to put myself on Max in the hopes that this is a low oxygen thing. Fingers crossed.

Thanks to consultation, the ad I've made for my All Hallows Read offering won't be seen by the public until July. All the better to gather the appropriate amount of attention without also gathering irritation.

I'm going to spend some of my squirrelings to boost that stuff. Yay.

Plenty of time to squirrel some money aside for the thing. I should hope. Fingers crossed.

Story first. Then the rest of it.

Challenge #04118-K100: Skills? Share!

Many years later, Wraithvine travels back to where they gifted hair to a person who was desperately poor and had taken to thievery. They found the person had used the funds to feed themselves, get a home, and open a free trades-school so that all those who were like them could learn a solid trade, and get to their feet.

Sorry, keep forgetting to put in the link.

Tuesday, Patreon and PLNs

So here's the PLN...

  1. I go shopping for cheese and cream
  2. I return to make my offerings
  3. Including the Patreon stuff
  4. I also help mentor a fellow writer with their offering for the Moth Archive

For the first prompt in April, we're rewriting a story we've written before. It's going to be interesting to see the growth happening.

I've finished my morning beverages, medication, and essential nutrition. I'm about to nick off for a quick trip to the shops for dairy products.

Challenge #04117-K099: Remove the Cause

The Culpeo, and others like them, are getting CRC monitors that don't take cogniscent abuse lightly. The numbers of deaths begin to drop significantly, those that were dead and simply "dumped" are picked up so they can be given proper memorials. The new group that formed to do this have the full backing of the CRC.

Monday, Reads and Stream

The group's reading their stories to each other, I cut my stretchies short so I could make it. Winter is making me sleep longer and Sundays do me no favours either.

Last night's difficulty sleeping was caused by me messing around and finding out in Garage Band via my iPad Pro. I got something and putting it all together is one of my goals of the day.

I got music. I got video. I just put the title and byline on my

Challenge #04116-K098: Will They Won't They

Can we pretty please have the convo between the two beings, the one in love and the one they are in love with? This outta be fun!

Human Flor was starting to wonder if he'd caused an accidental offense. Diagnostician Eun kept staring at him in random moments. Approaching and then running away. Sending pings for permission to speak, and then ghosting him.

Asking Therapist Rhett about it only resulted in assurances that

Sunday, Game Morning, Daylight Saving, and Bread PLNs

The gang and I had fun with spider murder, zombie Beholders, and malevolent creatures all around. I realised that I had to feed Wilson, my wholemeal starter, so now there's a starter harvest 'bikkie' baking in the oven.

I top mine with sliced olives, sesame seeds, and salt. Baked at 150 celcius for 35 to 45 minutes, or until golden-brown.

I'm taking a more relaxed attitude to my offerings today. Just chilling as I go forth.

The weather is turning colder and

Challenge #04115-K097: Breaking Point

Their significant other had struck them once too often. Aboard the station, the slap was more than audible. Sunshine and Jay saw the person so struck suddenly get a blank look, and leap upon their abuser with their hands around their neck. Too many years of beatings will do that to a body. -- Anon Guest

Saturday, No Parkrun, New Tech, and Game PLNs

The weather bureau promised that there would be rain today, so we called it for Parkrun and decided on social brunch with minor snuggles.

Adorable is switching her OS to Ubuntu because Mainstream Enshittification Syndrome and I'm honestly pondering the logistics of joining the protest.

During the software change, I asked about a hardware change that I have been anticipating for some months - a new mechanical keyboard with a volume control and a firkin number pad.

That was a Leyland's Tour

Challenge #04114-K096: Earned Gratitude

H - I have.... WAY too much Time.

G - "You've worked hard you've earned that pay."

H - I didn't do that much.

G - "You signed the agreement including how much we were going to pay you."

H - Are you certain about this?

G - "Of course, your work has been absolutely invaluable to us."

H - It still... feels like I'm cheating... ripping you off.

G - "I assure you, you're not." -- The New Guy

Friday, Advertising Attempt and Unfucking the Habitat

I have the cover ready for my book, minus the title and byline. I have a "speedpaint" video tucked away nice and safe.

I was able to get Garage Band on my iPad.

I'm going to create something roughly two minutes long to go underneath and along with the words I just recorded.

A little video editing, a little audio tweaking, and some messing around with fonts on GIMP, and you will all see my attempt at advertising.

I think I'll release

Challenge #04113-K095: Truce With Benefits

They were the leader of an enormous pack of kobolds. All of them had found a gold vein. All of their burrows were very well defended. The humans seemed to treat them politely enough to their faces, because they had gold, but also talked hatefully behind their backs due to being kobolds. Then, when potentially deadly dangers arose, the humans realize it's not the gold that's the true value of having a kobold's friendship. -- Anon Guest

Thursday, Taking it Easy

I'm having a low expectations day, today. The minimum stuff from me shall be heading out, of course, but I am taking my leisure.

I've noticed that I'm a little bit frayed around the edges lately, so I'm purposely taking some time to relax.

Which I really and truly need today because I have yet another cyclone headache.

Yay.

Not.

I'm waiting for my painkillers to kick in at the moment, but I have some good news!

Challenge #04112-K094: Data for the Experiments

They enter a swampy area where biting bugs are a real nuisance. The bridges keep people out of the waters, so people can stay dry, at least, but ergh, all the BUGS!! But this is a good test for the enchanted repellants, they were asked to test them after all.
