Realm of the InterNutter

Thoughts, stories and ideas.

Friday, Strategising PLNs

I've been going on drips and dribbles with ADT these last two days. Mostly because the lure of three firkin fanfics are calling me with their siren song. I'm aiming to use my ankle icing time to add a few sentences into one work or another. I successfully added a sentence to three fics so this break will focus on the book first, and then drift off to wherever the muse drags me.

So far, so good.

The bread's done, the story's about to happen, and I've already done the Peertube video thing. Huzzah.

My dumb ankle prevents me from doing parkrun, still, so my weekend is free to do what I whist. Literary or other free time. Beyond the usual offerings, naturally.

I definitely need some chillax time, so I might actually play some BG3.

Meanwhile, one of the fanfics has inspired an artist I admire [it concerns their OC so OFC there's art] so now we're doing the thing where artists and writers throw things at each other until one of us passes out.

It's fun.

Onwards to the daily offerings.

Challenge #04638-L254: Not What You Think it Means

The Warlock that had been pushing them so hard to get her, had a sinister motive. They're hesitating, can they figure out his motive before he talks these, his latest victims, into the unthinkable?

Three turned to face Zygo, who was panicking more than a little. "She promised me," he said. "She promised we would be safe when we went through."

"Your patron," said Ebberhandril, "the devil, made a promise."

"All right, all right,

Thursday, Shopping, Recording and PLNs

Well I got input on the story I was aiming to have out for All Hallows' Read, and... it should stay in the drawer. Nobody else is seeing it.

End of discussion.

I'll talk with my lovelies about the premise, and if that gets greenlit, I'll approach it from another angle.

So... no horror story this year. Maybe next one.

It is what it is. Moving on.

I have a shopping journey, bread in the incubator, and a bad ankle. I forgot

Challenge #04637-L253: Do NOT Create the Torment Nexus

“At last, I’ve created the Torment Nexus,” said the Protagonist of the classic story you’re about to read, right now. -- Deathshead419

[AN: Thanks a fuckbunch (/sarcam) ]

Neuroscience had made amazing leaps forward. They not only mapped the human cerebrum, but were controlling it to a certain extent. Laws, of course, insisted that such methods could only be used for therapeutic purposes. Which was fine and good. Advances were made against depression and psychosis. They even found a remedy for

Challenge #04636-L252: Girl Goose

King Nydon is defeated. Chained in his dungeons is the visage of his supposed daughter with the brain of an unfortunate Goose. Simple enough to turn the poor creature back. Only, the goose princess reacts violently to the proposition and… is she trying to talk with human words? Oh no. Looks like Wraithvine and the Twin Mages will have to figure out who’s to care for this creature… -- Deathshead419

[AN: Whoops, I turned her back to goosiness in an earlier

Tuesday, Patreon, Videos, and Shenanigans

So... I may have kind of sort of sidled into writing three fanfics whilst also attempting to finish off the SIXTH GORRAM BOOK of my "brief little thing".

So it's time to bust out this little chestnut:

[Shown here: An etching of an anticommunist propaganda piece featuring a skeleton in a "communist" sash. It is carrying a large scroll that has been altered to say "Lord help me, I'm back on my bullshit"]

On one hand - more to share with my

Challenge #04635-L251: Here Comes Trouble

The Stars begin to fall from the sky and shatter on the ground. Quick! Catch them! Surely something terrible will happen if they all break. -- Deathshead419

The Great Golden Dragon and the Great Silver Dragon were going to have a clutch, so they gathered together the firmament into solid shapes to make the perfect world for their children. It would have mountains and oceans, and plenty for all the dragons to eat. Caves and caverns for the ones who wanted to

Monday, Dentist and Maybe Other Things

Woke up at 3AM and did half a chapter. Hooray. Then commenced to prepare my good self for a trip to the dentist's later on. Yay. Fully aware that I have not regularly brushed my teeth since an incident with my hardy perennial depression. Whoops.

I have finished a story for All Hallow's Read. Huzzah. I need it sensitivity read before I leap ahead and prepare for book launch. It might be too nightmare fuel for my trans readers.

It's also highly

Challenge #04634-L250: Oceans Rise...

King Nydon has been defeated, the usurper and his elf compatriot have entered the palace, all his works in ruins. He strolls around chamber where his great arts are stored, and weeps for himself. -- Deathshead419

[AN: In reference to this: https://peakd.com/fiction/@internutter/challenge-04632-l248-better-than-perfection ]

All things considered, there were worse punishments for a deposed ruler than house arrest. There was a distant realm where, according to the tales, the overtaking ruler cut off his father's nose as a means

Sunday, Plots and PLNs

So Zeitgeist doesn't want my flavour this time. I can throw Adapting at a bunch of other people. I just need to spend some time finding which ones are open to the concept of taking it. At this point in the game, I'm seriously considering trying to publish in itch.io despite the issues I've been reading about. Which also means finding the scratch to commission some cover art or making my own for the dang thing.

I also have to find/

Challenge #04633-L249: The Price For the Prize

A conman infiltrates a convent to pilfer the coffers. What could go wrong? When the ladies cloistered inside harbor a dark secret, well, everything... -- Deathshead419

They had to be hiding vast treasures, based solely on the premise that it was expensive to look that plain and simple. It was an accumulation of little signs that pushed Teliff the Slick to investigate finding their treasure trove.

The sisters were well fed and kept fit. They were always so clean and neat. They

Saturday, There Go My PLNs

I did have PLNs to go nowhere and do nothing BUT... we need eggs and there's a postal parcel mystery that I need to go to AusPost Norflakes to unriddle. So I have to go place and do thing to get stuff.

BLEH.

The lit agency with the shortest turnaround has decided to not want fantasy or scifi this fortnight. Three guesses which are my favourite fucking genres?

Yeah. I'm bitter this morrow.

Last night was very nice, and I discovered the

Challenge #04632-L248: Better Than Perfection

Madness! Two counties in Beruvan have risen against the most gracious and able king Nydon, declaring for an imposter prince who dares to claim a name similar to his Goose Cursed daughter. Nydon dispatches his most loyal troops, certain their leader (who always showed affection to the princess) will do what needs to be done. -- Deathshead419

Friday, PLNs for a Night Out

Adorable's having a bifdy! We're taking the whole fam out for some all-you-can-eat goodness, tonight. As a special bifdy treat, I shall not be asking how she's going with the audio recordings of A Devil's Tale.

Best to not be a pest on someone's birthday.

I am now the proud owner of a tempered glass monitor riser, which I am using as a cat-proof shield over my keyboard. It's a teeny bit short to type while it's over my keys, so I've
