Challenge #04315-K297: Not so Much Bull

The polity had a reputation of shockingly low numbers of rescues coming from there. Curiosity got the better of some who snuck to the polity to the surprise it was cleaner than most, and the people.. while not exactly treated like gold, were also not treated as though they were lower than animals either. Then they heard the tale from one individual, of how the CEO's cared enough to sacrifice their own comfort, to care for others when those others were in dire straights.

These leaders were not like other CEOs. Profit and Production were not their sole goals. There was also a freak element for a Deregger world - Public Works.

A food bank for the impoverished. A hospital for the sick. Public housing.

They weren't quite up to Alliance standards, but the fact that there were standards at all was more than a little astonishing.

Friday, Foot Treatment and New Regime

I have excercises this week. Pedalling an invisible bike against the floor for two minutes, and stretching my calves for thirty seconds, twice each leg.

Which I have to do twice a day. Tonight, when I'm prepping for bed, I'll begin with the evening set. Tomorrow, before parkrun, I'll be doing the morning set.

Monday, Tentative PLNs

I needed all of Sunday to recover from parkrun, but I managed my morning regime before it was time to do the runaround for Mayhem.

I might spare myself some aggravation and go do the shopping before I settle myself into making today's offerings. It needs must to be done and then I have less to fret about on Tuesday. Because Tuesday has become more crowded than expected! Huzzah.

Sunday, Ouchies

I had to skip both game sessions because foot. It was absolute agony last night. Fortunately, a long rest has helped me with the ability to walk. Just... not... far.

I had to get Miss Chaos to help me with my morning doses. Mostly ferrying the finished product to my desk.

The Faux-Nuts became a major hit for those who, due to severe allergy to it, could not have terran peanuts. Saturday, Parkrun and Owwies

The bad news: I forgot to start my new foot exercise regime last night.

The good news: I remembered to do it this morning.

Bad news: My foot is PAINFUL post parkrun and various parts of both legs are not far behind.

I need a sleep to recover, now that I am safe home. And if I perchance to miss making my offerings, y'all get a twofer tomorrow.

A mixed band of older adventurers came to the glade seeking aid for a comrade who had been badly wounded, lest the person, their dear friend, die. Due to their advanced ages, they asked if they could help by setting up a nearby hospital, so she didn't have to do all of this work alone. A peaceful life of aiding others in their golden years.

Thursday, Ringing Around

I got the call from the Sullage People, and they couldn't do Monday. Rearranged my calendar for Tuesday, which is a day off from driving anyway and then called the Council Guy about the day of that deed.

Wednesday, Rant Due and Other PLNs

At least I remembered my pills with my coffee today. So there's that. The downside is I had the little container full of pills with me for at least a firkin week. Forgotten every single time I was out and needed to take them. Yay.

I need to get back onto the anxiety meds I've run out of. They're non-prescription and specialised so it's a bit of a slog to get them seen to. And, of course, ex$pen$ive.

The child was terrified as storms raged outside the old building they were taking shelter in, the wind rattling the tightly locked windows. Wraithvine got the fire going while others did their best to help the frightened child calm. Including a gentle, cuddly, feline.
