Thursday, Bread Double Play and Stuff

I spent a lot of time debugging game layout in Cursor, yesterday. The plus side is that I have most of the layout organised. Today, amongst the many other things I have PLN'd, I am double-dosing the bread ritual. I have the starter incubating as the first loaf proofs.

I'm going to be juggling timers today. One for the oven, one for the dough. And tomorrow, I cook even more bread.

All so the kids and I have enough bread for our needs. Maybe even enough to last for the next pay cycle.

All those nice plans of mine to make bread at a rational day once a week are slightly off skew.

We get money today, and my shopping list is getting longer. So I'm pooling this week and last week in the hopes to afford all the stuff we need to restock.

Today, I hope to have some puzzle systems going in Pseuducku. I should also go and edit the Pseuducku pages to reflect my moving onwards. Screencaps and all.

It's going to be a fun couple of days.

Challenge #04546-L162: Adventure Begins

Wraithvine is asked to set up a small training dungeon to help teach young, inexperienced, adventuring parties who are just starting out. -- Anon Guest

Adventurers were a kind of plague of their own. They tended to barge in, wreak havoc, forget what they went there for, and steal anything that wasn't nailed down. Most of the time, they could be aimed at dangerous places, but closer to civilised spaces? People had to hire Adventurers to get the Adventurers out of their

Wednesday, Surprise Bread Deficit and Further PLNs

The good news is: the kids really enjoy my bread. The bad news is that I have to make WAY more of it to see me through the week.

So I'm preparing one batch of dough today, making another batch tomorrow while I'm baking the first tomorrow, and baking the second one the day after.

I'm also doing a story video, today.

And the usual nonsense that y'all will see on my various socials. I'll get it done, for sure. The system

Challenge #04545-L161: Prejudice's Shadow

They did not speak, childhood illness stole their voice. But the Harukh village didn't care. This human had always been kind to them, helping them when illnesses or injuries came their way. They also made it clear to so-called "heros", this human who could not speak was not going to be mistreated. The human, for their part, kept trying to make it clear, wordlessly, they didn't NEED "saving". -- Anon Guest

[AN: Harukh are mostly nomadic, so this place is a statistical

Tuesday, Catching Up and Roof Nonsense

There's a mob giving our roof an inspection for hail damage. It's free, but I can see the fishhook from a mile off. They're going to recommend a total roof overhaul with their special company, and find a way to get extra money beyond the $500 they promise to cover in addition to whatever the insurance is going to spring for.

I will ask for it all in writing and then forward that to Beloved for the yae or nae.

Today, my

Challenge #04544-L160: Homicidal Weather Patterns

They were visiting Earth. The skies turned a strange greenish hue, the winds went quiet, even the insects went still. The human grabbed their friends and swiftly dragged them to a metal bunker with only two words. "Twister's coming!" -- Anon Guest

Visiting the aptly-named Terra is not recommended for level three Havenworlders and above. Those undergoing resilliance training must do so under strict supervision from an epigenetic advisor. Why?

Well. Even in the most civilised and tamed areas, there are unexpected

Monday, Jabs, Shopping and EXTRA

I have people coming around to inspect the roof for hail damage (free) in half an hour. I have to chase Chaos to get ready for a public appearance so we can both get Flu and Rona jabs.

I might as well top up supplies while we're out, 'cause there's no telling how down we're going to be afterwards. Then I go home and work on my offerings, including manually reworking the subtitles for Friday's video because the alternative is subtitles that

Challenge #04543-L159: Recompense

They were very thin, hungry, but afraid to ask. They were told these strangers made you pay more than your money for their aid. And she had very little money to begin with. -- Anon Guest

There were a lot of stories about these invaders from the stars. How they did terrible things. How they ruined worlds. How they ruined lives. How they preyed upon the weak and the vulnerable and did despicable things to children.

Eidel had been hiding for weeks,

Sunday, Relatively Lazy Day

I'm starting to enjoy having weekends to relax in. Even though this half of it might also involve finally doing the subtitles for the storytime video on Peertube for yesterday.

It might not. There have been embuggerances this time around.

I'll get there.

And speaking of getting there, Chaos and I are getting Flu and Rona shots tomorrow. I thoroughly suspect I will be down for the count for next week.

Thoroughly prepared to be VERY gentle with myself next week.

I've

Challenge #04542-L158: All Due Respect

Careful to whom you speak, and the tone of use. Just remember insult is rarely forgotten, and not all retribution is swift. -- Anon Guest

Night Watch, ten years before the significant event...

Officer Druempf almost missed the moving shadow in the half-light of dawn. "Halt! Who goes there?"

The shadow slowed, sighed and straightened, revealing itself as that double-damned devilborn. The alleged lordling who was the most infamous student of that Elf's school in the landscaping place. "It's only me, Officer,

Saturday, Parkrun and Progress PLNs

I am not working on ADT nor Pseuducku today. I'm also not working on them tomorrow. That is something of a relief, as I need a break from my own expectations.

Burnout prevention is very important.

Mayhem got a start on the first loaf, and I'll be finishing it off and working on the second one later today.

The offerings should be happening shortly.

...probably slower because a cat just settled on my left hand.

Challenge #04541-L157: Heroic Celebration

Wraithvine hates goodbyes, really hates them. But not all goodbyes are sad. This one, as ze left a wedding they had been invited to, was happy. They knew this family, they would meet them again. So it was not goodbye, it was "See you later." -- Anon Guest

Heroes tend to have open-air weddings in large fields, or take over an auditorium for the ceremony. Mostly because of all the people wanting to wish them well. There's other decorations to make it

Friday, An Abundance of STUFF to Do

I have starter in the incubator because Chaos has discovered the magic of pan-fried bread. Looks like I'll be making bread on a weekly basis. Maybe even bi-weekly. I aim to finish one chapter of ADT this week, and I want to make some significant progress on Pseuducku.

Then there's the usual daily offerings, the video production, and maybe even some time for myself.

I also have a catio to clean, which I will be getting to the instant this blog is

Challenge #04540-L156: Restful Sanctuary

Each night the songs started. Soft, gentle, soothing. These songs eased the tired Wizard and hir dragon friend to sleep, along with the gentle purring cat in the Wizard's lap. -- The New Guy

[AN: Mature Elves don't sleep. They meditate.]

The world is large, and full of perils. One would expect that from a world made for Dragons. What's less expected is the occasional island of succour.

This is the Singing Forest. Legend says a great hero once placed a piece

Thursday, Further Experimentation

Yesterday was pretty much a wash. Most of my time was exhausted in spinning my wheels. I have a lot more time today now that I've got an idea of where I'm going.

Fingers crossed, I have something of a prototype by tomorrow. Because tomorrow... I have to start bread again.

Yes, my lovely readers, both the kids have discovered the wonders of fried toast. So it looks like I'll be making bread once a week.

Not a bad thing, to be
