Friday, Rain Interference "Fun"

It's raining. Which means my internet access is shit. Which means that anything I do online will be slower than molasses.

JUST in time for me to try learning how to make buttons in GameMaker. Yay.

All the running back and forth, the missed connections and other nonsense has me very frazzled and stressed and needing intimate haptic feedback. Alas, the rest of the QPP is far, far away and out of my range for firkin weeks on end.

Sigh.

I feel like I'm on the precipice of a blowout or a meltdown, or something... I need some relief. I'd really like a big burly bloke named Bruce to help unfuck my life as it stands, but... he's only imaginary. More's the pity.

Still, I can get my flash fiction done whilst out and about, so that's exactly what I'm going to do.

Then I get home, advertise, and work on the ding-dang buttons.

Who knows? I might get something approaching a workable thing by next week. Fingers crossed.

And I still have to clean the catio. Darnit.

Wednesday, Working on the Road Again

On Monday, I barely got a story started before Mayhem turned up again. Technical issues prevented work from happening.

Can't work with the system if the system is down.

Yesterday, my plns to help with MeMum's printer were foxed on the starter blocks by another system going down.

Can't unfuck an electrical device without electricity.

I didn't get to sleep until after midnight. It's going to be a fun day today. Guaranteed early bedtime tonight.

Tuesday, Severe Change of PLNs

Mum's Tech Support Day is going to have to happen next week because this week, the electricity people are blacking out her entire suburb. Yay.

Monday, the Shenanigans Continueth

Oh boy howdy do I like to pile on the horseshit. Because scheduling stuff, I'm attempting to do my daily offerings whilst roaming. Driving Mayhem to work and turning around when home or almost home is a frustration. It's actually more sensible to hang out at his destination until he's good to go home. Bit of a pain in the butt, but not as painful as spending three to four hours constantly on the road.

Sunday, Footsore and Pained

The best thing I can say is that I had fun and I'm paying for it.

My left foot just GD hates me today. I do not want to walk. I just made it to my compy and, after a little jiggery-pokery because keyboard malfunction.

Friday, Back-arseward BS

I can at least say that an attempt was made. The attempt: Hanging out in a cafe near Mayhem's work for a bit, so that I didn't spend so much fuel on the back and forth. Alas, the local gremlins heard us plotting and decided to fuck things up for us.

Thursday, A Need for Pick-Me-Ups

I have had some issues with Appointment Inertia1 when Mayhem's working. So I don't get to sit down for my offerings until the afternoon.

Tomorrow, I'm camping up at Mayhem's workplace so I theoretically have more time to do things. Meanwhile, I am soothing my current emotional issues with carbage.

It's Pride this weekend and because Adorable is volunteering at Parkrun, we're not doing the march. We are, however, turning up for the fair.

Tuesday, Errands Done and Further PLNs

I dropped Beloved off just in time for the train. I finished tormenting my feet, then hauled my butt all over everywhere to get a few necessities. Including more meds for my asthma. Huzzah.

I even have a lot of good feedback about Pseuducku.

Now I have to find and devote some time to drawing the missing buttons and, perhaps, working on some interactivity. One baby step at a time.

Saturday, Parkrun, Game Night, and Game Morning

I survived with my feet intact, found a very nice place to have brunch, and managed to avoid getting feedback on the Pseuducku mockup. My tester didn't read the accompanying text, methinks.

Friday, Baking Day and Further Shenanigans

Mayhem's still recovering so I've got the bread underway. My scales behaved, my dough behaved, everything seems to be working out except the familial health thing.

There's another progress log entry over on Pseuducku development to see which button "reads" better for the specific purpose of knowing which ducks are used up.

When I know that, I can work on different mock-ups. Which will include finding out which ducks look better when placed in the field.
