Wednesday - Day One

No new cases and a lot of running around on my schedule today. Mayhem has a doctor's appointment. We need to buy cat food. I also need to pop into Spotlight and get hold of some florists' wire to fix the catwalk because the pool carpet is slipping.

Stick a broom up my butt and I can sweep the floor on the way.

  • Muppet and Repugnicans continue to abuse power and flaunt their own rulings, nominating a Supreme Court Judge mere months away from the election. They don't care who they destroy so long as they "win"
  • ASIO wants more counter-terrorism laws
  • Artificial insemination doctor guilty of fathering potentially hundreds of babies. He should be retroactively sued for child support payments

The world is going to shit, and it's going to get shittier. Apparently the plague is bringing out a "nice" crop of violent right-wingers in Australia's populace and I could not feel sicker about that.

Tuesday ( Day Zero)

Another case from overseas and already contained. My wrist hurts and, after a glimpse at the headlines, I don't want to go deeper.

Hope blooms for me these school holidays. Maybe the Karen Squad has had enough of acting like entitled little brats and has actually grown a sense of consequence for their actions. There's still waiting until next Saturday to see if Brisbane's protests blow up.

Friday - Day Zero

One new case linked to a previous case, and already in quarantine. A week left, more or less, until the Brisbane anti-lockdown protests blow up in a spate of new cases.

The more it goes on, the more it keeps on going on. Blurgh. It's almost bus o'clock right now, so I will be working on potentially the last 100 words in my novel for two weeks because school holidays.

Monday - Day 1!

No new cases in Queensland yesterday, so today is Day One. Woot? There's still over a week before the Brisbane anti-lockdown protests blow up on us. Meanwhile, Melbourne's having more anti-lockdown protests which is what started their second wave in the first place.

Three new cases all related to known ones. Eight days left for the Brisbane protests to blow up like the ones in Melbourne did. Friday - Day One at Last!

Woo! Now I know there's going to be ten-ish days before the protests in Brisbane spark an outbreak, but I am still celebrating the small victories. One day without anyone on the Karen Squad stirring shit. That's a win.
