Thursday, Day 0, Last Scam So Far

Plague News: One new case, an import. Total cases at fourteen and thirteen are in hospital.

Today, I cover the robot of "justice": Crime Bot. Anyone who's answered an unfamiliar number in recent days will be familiar with this nonsense. Not a lot of amusement to be had in getting it. Though there is their pitiful attempt to sound like an authority.

Today, also, we're getting the last step in the bathroom fix. A false pillar to disguise the downpipe from the sink. I have mentioned multiple times that I would like it waterproof so it doesn't rot like the old vanity. I trust the tradie knows what he's doing... this time.

The people who built my house were a bunch of cowboys, apparently.

In the news:

  • Victorians suffering under their fourth lockdown
  • ScoMo's giving out 1.5K to some people. Likely the people who need it least
  • Pentagon's unleashing some stuff they know about UFOs
  • 17YO beats Usain Bolt's fastest time and OF FUCKING COURSE the white journo chronicling this calls a POC a "specimen". Yay. Gold fucking star on that racial sensitivity fail
  • Aldi unleashes a new cheese
  • New plan for the power station that blew up - turn it into a battery!
  • Public transit costs are going up because plague
  • House prices are beyond the reach of many
  • Muppet's personal blog "social media platform" has gone private
  • TikTok dad has some fab Devon recipes
  • Costco Melbourne is yet another plague vector
  • Male hotel guest battered a receptionist to death for (drumroll) smiling at him. Dude needs some serious psychological help

Onwards to the rest of my nonsense.

Wednesday, Day 2, GOOOOOO!!!!

Plague news: No new cases, thirteen active ones that are all in hospital.

The last stage of Fixit Day is happening this morning when the cabinet guy comes around to make sure everything is sealed to heck and back. But otherwise we have a functioning bathroom vanity. Huzzah.

I didn't have the wherewithall to code anything yesterday because tradies in my house. At least I got the Patreon nonsense done. And the Instant. And my 500 words. Output successful.

Tuesday, Day 1, GET SET!

Plague news: no new cases, fourteen active cases, all of them are in hospital.

Today's the big day. It's Fixit Day. The cabinet guy is coming around in the morning and the plumber in the evening. No, I do not know how that is supposed to work either. Apparently, it's going to. I don't even know.

Today's half hour will be adding some code to allow me to input tags. Now that I know what bits of the code I'm using actually

Monday, Day 0, On Yer Marks!

Plague news: Two new cases, both imports. Fourteen total cases, twelve in hospital.

I did the coding yesterday. What I lack is the skills to understand a decent half of it. That's my job this morning.

The bread I made on Friday is not fit for human consumption. I make more this Friday. I also order more flour because I'm running a smidge low on supplies.

The daily morning vegemite soup seems to be working. When skin does slide off, it's sliding

Sunday, Day 0, Something New

Plague news: One new case, an import. Thirteen total cases and nine are in hospital. We're holding steady. Ish.

Bad news: the bread I made on Friday turned out to be sods. Dough in the middle. Bleh.

Good news: I now have purple hair. Pretty much the colour of plum jam.

Bad news: It's not that great a look considering my usual pallor. I need more vibrant colours in my life.

Good news: It was a great stream this morning and later

Saturday, Day 0, Tech Support

Plague news: Two new cases, both imports. Fourteen active, and eleven in hospital.

Today, I go forth into the wildernesses of Logan to sort out varying technical snares for MeMum, including but not limited to: Getting onto podcasts, using her portable speaker, and figuring out how to access her keypad during a call.

Fun times ahead.

Following that, I zoom back on home to maybe squeeze in some programming for my proposed app. Yay. But definitely to go to bed early so

Friday, Day 0, Bread!

Plague update: 2 new cases, both imports. Thirteen total, and ten are in hospital.

We're almost out of bread. So I need to make more. I need to make more of the wholly wholemeal too, but I don't have 48 hours to do that because...

  1. I may or may not be doing some programming on the weekend
  2. I will definitely be helping MeMum with varying tech solutions
  3. I would actually like some time where I'm not up to my elbows in horse

Thursday, Day 0, Scams Awareness

One new case, an import. Sixteen active cases and fourteen of them are in hospital. It's more or less holding steady.

I've only got today's scam and next week's to share. After that, it will be whatever crosses my path. I'm a cynical old B so it's going to be a hard time even getting me to look at the hook.

I have a busy weekend happening for me. Beloved is making noises like we will be programming together... also MeMum needs

Wednesday, Day 0, Wordpress Once More

Two new cases, both imports. Sixteen total cases, twelve in hospital. I've got more of my Tiefling's story to share and more JavaScript to learn. And more novel to write, and another instant for your continued entertainment.

I'm back on the vegemite soup because I apparently need niacin. I also need to remember to keep the humidifier filled or I'll have a bad air day the next morning.

In the news:

  • Map of a sports stadium shows who could have been infected

Tuesday, Day 0, Patreon

Three new cases, all imports. Fifteen total, and twelve in hospital.

Today, I'm about to splurge a whole bunch of nonsense on my Patreon. You're welcome? Maybe?

I'm also plotting to learn how to fly Javascript. So I can make an app so that people can access my Instants anywhere anytime.

I have a Goals Document, which I will be sharing for free over on Patreon.

It's bus o'clock. I don't have time for the news.

Monday, Day 1, Sideways!

Twelve total cases, eleven in hospital. I have bad news and good news in an interesting cycle that is making my entire life go sideways today. Huzzah.

Bad news: I broke my glasses by taking off my T-shirt. Good news: I have the frame and the lens. Bad news: but not the teeny tiny screw that has fallen out AGAIN.

I am going to have a sharp word with the manufacturer, telling them it's BAD DESIGN to screw the screws in from

Sunday, Day 0, Stream Day

Two new cases, both imports. Thirteen total and eleven in hospital. I just watched Toasty do their arting and am looking forward to hearing Tale Foundry read some stories. In between then and now, I am committing literature for your enjoyment and mine.

I should hope you enjoy my nonsense.

In the news:

  • Melbourne's syphilis outbreak is now above the fold
  • China stealth invading Bhutan
  • Billionaire calls Aussie bosses "parasites" for allowing workers to work from home. Maybe look in a mirror

Saturday, Day 0, Still Fasting

I'm still staying away from the carbs for another week. There's two new cases, both imports. Twelve total cases, nine in hospital.

I'm going to go without carbs for as long as possible. I can already see my fingers deflating from all the water weight. Either Sneezin' and Wheezin' Season is almost over or the fast is working because I've been breathing easier these past few days. I am, however, still sneezing. Alas. I'll get to the other end of it eventually.

Friday, Day 0, 1K Day

I changed my mind about making bread today. There's one new case, an import. Twelve total cases and eleven of those are in hospital. But that's not the reason why I'm not baking.

I'm not baking because it's been a busy and stressful week. I want to have one day where it's just the obligations of the day. Which is full enough with the Instant, the unfuckening, and the 1k writing goal for KOSTSS.

It's the end of the week and the

Thursday, Day 0, Scam Day

One new case, an import. Fifteen total cases and thirteen in hospital.

Today, I have to remember another scam, and I don't think I ever got onto the whole Microsoft Refund thing that's still going around. I think I almost fell for a refund scam, but again I refused to play along because it involved logging into a website.

In the news:

  • Man dies of heart attack after waiting more than an entire day to see a doctor. This happened in Queensland
