Monday, Backup Reads and Bread

Long story short - I didn't want to stay up past midnight for all of the folds.

Time management is a lack-of-skill of mine :D

Four hours plus six hours plus wandering time would have equalled me putting the dough to rest at somewhere close to two fucking AM.

I put the dough to rest after the first fold. I'm doing the the rest of the three folds today, and then the first loaf after that. We will see how I feel about the second loaf by the end of that particular escapade.

There's a cyclone off the Queensland coast, and I am feeling it in my face. Extra fun for the shenanigans going on. Yay. My goals today include doing the backup reads, making my offerings, and figuring out what the hell's going on with the audio output in Zrythm. I shall be poking around in the settings there. I'll also be working on GameMaker. Now that it's updated, I have a thing to try within.

I have some skeleton of a PLN to get an audience(tm) but I also have to appeal to TikTok Brain. Do one-minute stories with art happening on the screen. Regularly. I have no idea how often I can do that or if the effort is worth the return on investment. It's worth a shot. Once you go viral in one platform, you go viral in all of them.

I have enough side-projects. I want time to enjoy my life. But I also want to make money from my creations. Enough to be comfortable.

I gotta make some decisions. Think about my options. Try things.

But first: Offerings.

Saturday, Parkrun and Shenanigans

Miss Chaos earned her coffee toffees this week. All it took was me expressing my concerns. Would that that worked on her motivation to learn how to make a game.

I might have to find her some variety of McJob in order to appreciate that learning programming is the easier thing to do.

I'll ring APM if I have to.

Then I'll look into online courses to teach me how to properly use GameMaker and how much they might firkin cost.

I

Thursday, Another Expedition

Today, my shopping mission includes finding a thumb drive that can be attached to a key ring, and then getting a really visible key ring to attach to it. All the better to store MeMum's backups and keep it Obvious(tm) so it doesn't get lost.

I cannot count the number of thumb drives MeMum has lost. Giving it something big and visible might help there. Might.

But I have to wait until the pay goes through before I head offski for

Wednesday, Rant Due and Patreon Nonsense

With the help of Beloved, I got MeMum's Kindle backed up. Since it was top priority, I left that day's story on the back-burner while the jiggery-pokery went on. It was closer to eleven at night by the time I got the basic offerings out.

So yeah, I'm a little tired today.

But I also know I can catch up on anything I missed yesterday and that includes recording some chapters for the Patreon! Woo!

I think I'm allowed to feel accomplished,

Monday, PLNs underway

Adorable doesn't have any ideas for helping me fix LMMS, but has recommended an alternate music maker. I'll be looking into that later in the day.

I now have 89 chapters until ADT is declared finished and I can take a firkin break.

Tomorrow, I'm offski to help MeMum back up her Kindle purchases, and find somewhere she can obtain ebooks for her Kindle without giving any more money to Amazon.

It has to be possible, and a lot of authors are

Sunday, the Internet Returns

Despite getting plenty of sleep, last night, I am still tired. Most of it is a bout of depression surrounding (a) catching up, and (b) the assorted jiggery-pokery that needs must be done. All so I can get other things done.

And, as always, it depends on other people. I try looking for the answers, but I never find the ones that I can make work.

I feel so stupid.

Also, between the advertising round for yesterday's tale and writing the one

Friday, Return of Beloved?

I can't send a message to Beloved because our chat app is having server issues. Fun. But I did get a message saying that they were getting ready to travel so I can continue hoping for a return to hugs and together time.

...and a return to working out where Book 5 ends and Book 6 begins.

I might even get Adorable over to help me wrangle things so I can continue with my PLNs to make a better advertising video.

And

Thursday, Catching Up Again

Good news: I found someone who can plausibly help me make Pseuducku be a thing. Bad news, I need to update GameMaker again so I can follow their steps properly.

Good news: I have downloaded the update. Bad news: I don't remember how to use it.

I currently have PLNs to help MeMum back up her Kindle, but that's happening tomorrow. My PLNs for today depend on what happens beforehand.

If I can install the GameMaker update successfully, I'll be working on

Wednesday, Physio, Rant, and Maybe Shopping

Technical difficulties have been cleared, I have physio today, and some offerings due.

My marketing connection sent me the exact same video they sent me last time, so I sent them a clue.

As in, I know a few things about editing videos. So it could also be a callout.

Meanwhile, I'm going to be learning how to make a one-minute music piece in a GarageBand-like made specifically for Linux. I have to find my own loops, but that's okay.

I might

Saturday, Parkrun and Rest

I did parkrun with little impact on my poor old feet. Huzzah. What it did make an impact on was my energy levels. I needed a nap after I got home.

So the offerings will be going out as soon as I can get them out.

I need to seek help with a bracket issue in GameMaker, but I also have personal energy issues that means it all has to wait until likely Monday.

Miss Chaos has gifted me the final straw,

Friday, Valentine's Day

I'm starting to wonder about the person I found to help me with market research. Everything that should be a minor tweaks turns out to be a whole new video. There's flaws that should be easily detected, errors allowed to pass. I'm starting to worry this person is using AI to put out low effort somethings.

I don't want to accuse, but I'm also thinking of transcribing the ad copy from the one that needed really minor tweaks and doing it over

Thursday, Finally Some Twiddling

I'm baking today, and Mayhem has all the things he needs to make his own bread. Plus Chaos is probably going to have a share of that. I predict a lot of trips for flour and yeast.

But homemade bread is better for you than the alchemical experiments they're selling in the shops, so it's worth it.

Today, I shall be messing around with brackets in GameMaker. Fingers crossed, I get a single thing working today.

And speaking of working, I should

Wednesday, I Owe Output

I owe Patreon posts, I owe a Weird Writer Wednesday. I also need to make bread and get meds.

I have the best timing [/sarcasm].

At least this time, I can walk without searing agony. That's something, I guess.

Mayhem wants to make his own bread on the same day that I'm planning my bread and this is just adding to the fun. Yay.

I am going to make myself mess around with brackets in GameMaker at some point. But I also

Monday, Backup Reads and Mistakes Were Made

After a pack of weeks that hammered the 10th of this month into my head, it took one blog entry for the crossed wires there to be revealed. So I have everything lined up, but I don't have to take off before tomorrow.

Gotta love having ideals nailed in and having them ripped out next to last minute. Fun times.

Speaking of fun times, my first test of the latest version came up with an error, so now I'm messing around with

Sunday, Game Night and Preparations

I am making sure the battery is charged for my Christmas chainsaw. All so I can head on down to MeMum's tomorrow and help her be rid of some overgrowth in the way of other things.

The plus side is that she finally has the other side of her insurance claim finalised. Just one more room to go and all is theoretically well.

just in time for the next flood season

Fingers crossed, all the measures put in so far will prevent
