Wednesday, Rant Due, and Other Things

I don't know what I'm going talk about this week. Maybe state of the WIP, maybe state of the Author. Maybe a little bit of both. Maybe something about my new video editing work.

I dunno, but I'm doing it first.

It's the only way I can be certain it gets done at all. I can't do a "Reasons to Love" on Murderbot: The Series because I'm still evaluating it on its own merits. I'm running out of stuff that can be easily acquired.

Though I did make a true crime poem and post it because I'm a chaos gremlin and some things just overtake my brain.

The new routine is making my life "interesting" to say the least of it.

Friday, Proceeding Apace

Working out the routine for the storytime videos, I think I have a rhythm now.

  1. Record story
  2. Send to Adorable
  3. Receive Subbie file
  4. Edit the final nonsense

Huzzah.

This time, I'm going to try making my preferred subbie format before I get going on the video project. Maybe I can get the format to stay this time around. Nevertheless, I have NOTES so I can replicate them at will.

By hook or by crook, I will get this WORKING.

Tuesday, Patreon and Shopping Expedition

I had PLNs to go shopping today. And then I noticed a blind spot creeping into my field of vision. Whoopsy doopsy, I have a stress headache creeping up on me, so I added some painkillers to my morning doses.

The good news is: the blind spot is easing away.

The bad news: I still have a cyclone migrane centred in my left eye socket.

Monday, Backup Reads and Minor Victories

I now have a new cord for my cane that should last a decent while. It will contain my folded cane, though it is a bit too loose. Something easily fixed by an improvised woggle bead.

Friday, Bread baking and Catio cleaning

We're doing bread shaping experiments today. I need to sort out the catio, today. One of those is dependant on Mayhem being conscious. The other is waiting on my own impetus.

Inertia is my copilot.

Today, I also plan on learning ANOTHER editing program to make subtitles. May it not also need jiggery-pokery to do text boxes and the other things.

Wednesday, Rant Due and Expectations

I started a chapter, yesterday, and I aim to finish it today. Not pushing myself, though. Just adding a sentence or a paragraph as the muse dictates.

I owe my readers a piece about something on my mind. Maybe a help to new writers, or a guide on how to focus with ASD/ADHD. I'm leaning towards the latter. All my little tricks that I've acquired over the many, many years of dealing with my own mental fog.

Tuesday, Patreon and Other Shenanigans

So the video editor is ludicrously easy to use. Hooray. So now I'm recording myself reading archive stories. One per day seems to be a decent limit. I'm still working out how to do subtitles without crashing the dingdang thing. Messing about in PeerTube first may make me look more professional in YouTube. When I have enough of a swing in motion to post daily.

Monday, Writer's Group and Video Plotting

My lovelies have now created a PeerTube instance. The moment I can make something and post it on there, it's joining my link hoard in the menu. There's a few technical hitches...

  1. I can't log in to the instance
  2. I currently lack a video editor
  3. I haven't made any videos.

Just a slight snag. I will be working on that as time goes by.

Friday, Back to Old Patterns

The instant I finish this blog entry, I'm cleaning the catio. Now fully functional and accessible to the household felines. Then I move onwards with the daily offerings and an attempt to do a thing.

And already my plns have crashed because a parcel has arrived with subscription meds. Yay. So now my plns include putting on clothes, going place, and fetching thing.

Thursday, Appointment Day

For one glorious hour, I thought I had a solution to the Zrythm thing. The potential fix didn't work and I don't know what I did to make it not work. I mean, apart from having the Fickle Finger when it comes to tech.

I owe some stuff to Patreon. I owe some offerings to y'all today. I should be recording five more chapters and that should be going up on Patreon too. I should be focussing on all of that but the allure of relax time is calling me.

Monday, Backup Reads and Back to Work

First week of not "working" during the weekend. This, in my case, means not working on the novel or any of my side projects for two days. Which, in turn, means encouraging myself to get back on to doing the thing. IF I can focus on doing half a chapter a day through the week, I can plausibly write up to two and a half chapters a week.

I cannot comprehend the extant set of instructions for getting new instruments into Zrythm. I'm going to try some video tutorials and see how I go.
