Tuesday, Patreon, Experts, and Shopping

I may have been contacted by another scammer on Bluesky, but I'm recognising the pattern now.

Step 1: Alleged fellow author contacts me
Step 2: We talk shop for a bit
Step 3: They mention their amazing friend who's a marketing expert and will for sure help people notice my books
Step 4: They provide a contact detail for their amazing friend
Step 5: If pushed, they provide some proof of their prowess that might pass cursory inspection by someone who doesn't have a lot of time

Unfortunately for them, I have a lot of time. And I was able to really question the proof I was given. A professional-looking website with not a lot of information and exactly six testimonials allegedly by authors who used their services. The site looked brand new. Some of the authors have been doing their business since the 1970's.

I doubt this brand new publicist was working with people who've been working almost longer than I've been alive.

Then I took a closer look at their logo and...

AI ARTEFACTS

yeah this was for sure a scam. Fuck that shit.

So I called out the original contact about it and thoroughly expect them and their account to vanish shortly thereafter.

Patreon posts until I have to launch for Experts, and the rest of the nonsense when I get back from the shopping expedition on the way back. I have a metric fuckbunch of things to stock up on.

Onwards, ever onwards.

Monday, Backup Reads and Video

The writer's group is meeting again and I'm waiting my turn to read mine. Then when that's done, I get on with commencing the video prep and the rest of my offerings.

Of course I already have a story for the Archive. I'm just Like That(tm).

Nothing too much going on beyond that. I think I shall attempt to do the cutscene art today. I have thought of ways to do some cheaty things and I shall see how that works

Saturday, Parkrun and Pseuducku

I now know what to do to get Pseuducku online. I also know what happens when I hit the maximum of the free sample queries.

It's not a thing to worry about. Thank grop.

With luck on my side and maybe digging up a spoon to spare, I should get something online tonight or tomorrow.

I'm betting on tomorrow because I'm already pretty much shredded today.

Let's get on with the offerings.

Friday, Accomplishments and Anticipation

As mentioned earlier, I have a barely-functional edition of Pseuducku. I'm hoping the fam will have a plan for me to share that thing with you. If they tell me to ask Cursor, I'll mention that I'm running out of queries.

I've seen to the Catio already, I'm about to read a story for the vids, and I got half a chapter accomplished because I woke up at fuckoff AM again.

So it's the videos and the offerings today. And messing around

Monday, Writer's Group and Stuff

The writing contest has an extra week, so the group has gathered together to bullshit at each other for a while.

I have a story to read, a story to write, a video to edit, the memes and doodl to contribute to the temple of notes.

Now that I have a starting point to return to, I can hope that the puzzle part of Pseuducku becomes a thing today.

I might even be able to publish an alpha version that's nominally function

Tuesday, Catching Up and Roof Nonsense

There's a mob giving our roof an inspection for hail damage. It's free, but I can see the fishhook from a mile off. They're going to recommend a total roof overhaul with their special company, and find a way to get extra money beyond the $500 they promise to cover in addition to whatever the insurance is going to spring for.

I will ask for it all in writing and then forward that to Beloved for the yae or nae.

Today, my

Monday, Jabs, Shopping and EXTRA

I have people coming around to inspect the roof for hail damage (free) in half an hour. I have to chase Chaos to get ready for a public appearance so we can both get Flu and Rona jabs.

I might as well top up supplies while we're out, 'cause there's no telling how down we're going to be afterwards. Then I go home and work on my offerings, including manually reworking the subtitles for Friday's video because the alternative is subtitles that

Sunday, Relatively Lazy Day

I'm starting to enjoy having weekends to relax in. Even though this half of it might also involve finally doing the subtitles for the storytime video on Peertube for yesterday.

It might not. There have been embuggerances this time around.

I'll get there.

And speaking of getting there, Chaos and I are getting Flu and Rona shots tomorrow. I thoroughly suspect I will be down for the count for next week.

Thoroughly prepared to be VERY gentle with myself next week.

I've

Saturday, Parkrun and Progress PLNs

I am not working on ADT nor Pseuducku today. I'm also not working on them tomorrow. That is something of a relief, as I need a break from my own expectations.

Burnout prevention is very important.

Mayhem got a start on the first loaf, and I'll be finishing it off and working on the second one later today.

The offerings should be happening shortly.

...probably slower because a cat just settled on my left hand.

Friday, An Abundance of STUFF to Do

I have starter in the incubator because Chaos has discovered the magic of pan-fried bread. Looks like I'll be making bread on a weekly basis. Maybe even bi-weekly. I aim to finish one chapter of ADT this week, and I want to make some significant progress on Pseuducku.

Then there's the usual daily offerings, the video production, and maybe even some time for myself.

I also have a catio to clean, which I will be getting to the instant this blog is

Thursday, Further Experimentation

Yesterday was pretty much a wash. Most of my time was exhausted in spinning my wheels. I have a lot more time today now that I've got an idea of where I'm going.

Fingers crossed, I have something of a prototype by tomorrow. Because tomorrow... I have to start bread again.

Yes, my lovely readers, both the kids have discovered the wonders of fried toast. So it looks like I'll be making bread once a week.

Not a bad thing, to be

Monday, Crappy Time Ahead

I could not get to sleep last night. ALL. Fucking. NIGHT.

Today is going to SUUUUUUCK...

I'll be recording a story for the videos, editing and posting an older story for TubeTube, and talking to my fellow writers in the Archives.

According to my internet investigations, the best place to get Rona jabs is Priceline Pharmacy, so that's where I'll be calling tomorrow before I stop by. I'll even ask the kids to get their refresher needle too.

My primary focus is

Saturday, Parkrun and Learning Journey

I have to admit, AI is here to stay. But that doesn't mean I'm going to use it very much. It's never doing my writing or art for me.

Beloved uses it for coding and I've been shown how terrifyingly good it is at doing that. And if I want Pseuducku to be playable this decade... I'll have to do that.

I still don't know how ethical it is, but... it's here to stay. If Beloved trusts it to write code, I

Thursday, Physio and Proceeding Apace

I almost forgot to finish off the video I made myself have due, last night. But I made myself get up and finish it, and then post it. Which means that I am free and clear to start sharing on my socials.

Next week, I record a little outro advertising my Peertube posts earlier than whenever they find them on TubeTube.

Maybe it'll work. It's worth a shot.

But my lovely followers get the Peertube video before TubeTube does.

I have to
