Friday, Bread Part2, Shrink Day, and Further PLNs

I did some calculations and I put the dough in the fridge to proof overnight. Which means four hours to wait for it to thaw before I complete the rigmarole involved in making an entire loaf.

I have Toe Hurty happening, so I'm slow but not stopped.

The bread will begin happening after my zoom call with my shrink. So too will some of my side projects. I can record a chapter of Adapting while I'm waiting for the dough to thaw, and then tool around with maps for all of the rest of it.

I do have to find some clean fabric for the setting stage. That shall also happen after the zoom meet.

Which is happening very soon to now.

I shall create my offerings somewhere in the middle of all of it, and eventually have bread.

Chapter Count: Kind'a midway-ish through Chapter 363 of A Devil's Tale

Thursday, Changes and Bread

Today, I am making bread. Or at the very least starting the process.

My starter is maturing in the incubator as I write. I have a couple of hours to do the story and offerings before I do the autolysing and so on. Between stretching sessions, I will be working on side projects.

The loaf experiment this time around is the addition of 1 cup of chia seeds for fibre purposes. It's going to be One Big Lump when it's time for

Wednesday, Wordpress and Invention

I think I shall be writing about writing for Wordpress today. The continuing saga of A Devil's Tale is getting enormous. Fourth book, fourth GoogDoc. Trying to find an end where I can move onwards to the series of epilogues that I wanted to wind up the story with.

I might also involve a few diatribes about the drudgery of self care.

Once more there shall be trains of rambling thought, all stitched together with what I'm thinking at the time.

Yay.

Tuesday, Patreon, Gravel, and a Day Off

The gravel was announced before I was done with my stretchies. So I had to hurry up. Paused stretchies, put on my knees, put on my pants, fed the cats, roused the kids, and set up for a stakeout.

I was just ready to sit and write and wait when the crane truck turned up.

We now have 400kg (62 stone + 14 lbs) of gravel which, I hope and pray, will do great things towards making the swamp less of a swamp,

Monday, SNAFU all over again

I forgot to write here and dove straight into the daily tale. Blame the Tale Foundry Backup Readings. I got in the fiction creation mood.

Beloved is arriving in this fair city at 11:30 PM so I won't be able to be there to greet her. She has medical intervention soon in the next morning... I probably won't have her in my arms until maybe tomorrow evening.

Sigh.

Tomorrow, the gravel arrives. I shall be camping near the front door and

Sunday, Game Night and Shenanigans

I continue to be a busy busy bean, today. I forgot The Bikkie this Friday, so I fed my starter this morning and hoping for the best. One day is not that bad for a starter in the fridge.

I do have some wholemeal flour to make myself some bread with. Since bread is what I miss the most about going Keto. I plan on doing One Giant Loaf and subdividing it into daily servings and freezing them for later use. I

Saturday, Parkrun and Pooped

My feet hate me. My knees hate me. I still managed to make it. It was wet as all get-out and Miss Chaos and I needed dry socks after the thing.

I had entertained the idea of wearing my beach shoes when it's that wet, but my feet would never forgive me for doing that. Drat it.

If I wanted to do all my self-maintenance, I'd have to wake up at two in the morning. I just can't do that, so I

Friday, Missed Connections and Disrupted PLNs

I spent ALL of yesterday waiting for a phone call from our financiers. I told them to call that day and they firkin didn't DO that.

Grr.

I still have to go shopping for better supplies, and that has to happen today because other shenanigans on other days. Yay.

I also have the usual unfucking to attempt.

I have, in the process of this week, learned that expecting two side-projects every day is a little bit rich for me.

Lesson learned.

Thursday, Head Above Water

I am not allowed to feel bad about only getting one side-project contributed to during yesterday. I am not allowed to feel invisible or under-appreciated because I get no comments on my works.

I am allowed to keep on trying.

I am allowed to be kind to myself and do things that make me feel good about myself.

BUT... I also have to go out and get fresh sets of supplies because things are running out or things have gone off.

Wednesday, Wordpress and Tech Support

I am on the Leyland's Tour, today. Helping MeMum with making her printer turn on when the internet sucks. The leading suspect is a lack of internet connection or a direct connection to the computer.

Since I'm also due to write an essay about the fanfiction I just posted, my time may be a little bit cramped. Wordpress may be happening tomorrow.

I'll see what I can do about writing that thing on my journeys. GoogDocs for the potential win.

Results may

Tuesday, Patreon and Shenanigans

I'm off on a Leyland's Tour at an unknown hour today, and I'm already prepped for that much running around. Mayhem is currently sound asleep and I could not wake him enough to get the time of take-off.

I can only hope that he wakes up with enough time to act appropriately.

Meantime, I have made an important discovery about my self-maintenance routine.

It can take up to an HOUR. Two if I need more time to ease the aches and pains

Monday, Forgetting the Self-Maintenance

This may be the last relatively idle day in what's looking like a busy week. I'm taking Mayhem to a thing to help him with work tomorrow. I'm going to MeMum's for tech support issues on Wednesday... and on Sunday... Beloved returns to this wide burnt land. Hooray.

I have PLNs involving a lot of hugs on that day.

I'm also plotting to do two side-projects per diem this week and see how it plays out. Whether or not I feel burned

Sunday, Tale Foundry and a VICTORY!

Because I need napnaps, I count Sunday as my "light day". All I count for a win is writing a part of A Devil's Tale for this day.

If I do anything else today, that is also a win.

I think I should work on a map for a PLN'd game sesh with the rainbow crowd. Or two. Depends on my personal impetus at the time.

Chapter Count: Just wrote the first words in chapter 359 of A Devil's Tale. Which means

Saturday, Parkrun and Progress

I have finally and at last finished Chapter 358 of A Devil's Tale, the epic story of a devilborn whose love life has gone to hell. The chapter was dragging under the weight of shinier ideas elsewhere. [coughcough Astarion Baldursgate coughcough]

I am getting there, though.

Bit by bit, I shall reach the point in which the mandatory war happens, thence to be followed by snippets of Happily Ever After. For all the epilogues I planned when I was in the middle

Friday, DISASTER and ruined PLNs

I wuzgunna record a chapter of Adapting for a potential future need, this morning. BUT... those PLNs have gone to shit. Because I was "clever".

The long story:

  • Attempting to switch from YouTube to NewPipe on my phone
  • Required huge amounts of files to do that for some fucked-up reason
  • Couldn't get them piecemeal on my phone
  • Bright idea#1: PUT THEM ON MY GOOGDRIVE!
  • Overload the GoogDrive
  • Panic because still writing things
  • Still wanted to switch to NewPipe
  • Bright idea#2:
