Friday, Bread and De-YouTubing

In between bread and icing my ankle, as well as the offerings as per usual, I am removing myself from TubeTube and setting up other things.

I'll be shifting all my TubeTube content to my Peertube. Except for the story videos, as they're already in my Peertube. My miscellany channel will get my music videos and attempt at Minecraft let's plays.

In the end, all that will be left is a (hopefully) brief video explaining why I'm shutting up shop.

I'll be trying to get other TubeTube creators to switch to Peertube as well. They can't endorse the age-gating of an already age-gated forum, especially since the age gating is most likely aimed at preventing kiddies from learning about rainbow-coded existence.

Don't want little Maquaileigheigh learning about alternate lifestyles. Heaven forfend. Or that there are other ways of looking at the world other than My Mama Said.

I know darn well that mothers can't be right about everything. Some of them get very upset when confronted with little things like facts counter to their beliefs.

I've seen enough stories from estranged children to know that leaving (s)mother behind is difficult at best.

While it's sad that the body corporate is bowing to a mess of busybodies, the body corporate will eventually learn that busybodies won't pay their bills.

Especially if the body corporate's content payday leaves en masse.

I can only hope that that happens. Meanwhile, I do what I can. Including a farewell message to YouTube.

Thursday, Bread and Nonsense

We're down to one loaf, so I'm beginning the three day journey to make four more loafs. The good news being that a batch lasts a week. Slightly longer than a week. The dubiously good news being that, because of my grinchy ankle, I can actually be home to do all of it.

What I consider to be the bad news is that the established precedence might not hold.

I'm staying off YouTube today, as protest against the bloody stupid age gating

Wednesday, Rant, Shopping, Boycott YouTube cha cha cha

It's the 13 so I am staying off TubeTube today and tomorrow. In solidarity with all the other folks protesting the bloody stupid AI age limit thing.

And to add to that, I shall be doing a little something against Collective Shout. The regrettable mob of wowsers and pearl-clutchers that I happen to share a country with. Like most regrettable groups, they sometimes have a decent point. Age limiting TubeTube or forcing credit card companies to avoid income is not going to

Tuesday, Patreon and Preparations

I have one chapter of ADT to share with my patrons. If I record the next video's audio, I might have more outtakes to gift them as well. I need to make the time to fix my cane cord. And it's looking like tomorrow may well be the day to commence another double batch of bread.

I can do this. I know I can do this... but the inertia to get started is too real.

And of course I have Pippi running

Monday, Shenanigans Ensued

I gave Chaos the mission of heading to the shops to get my polident. She decided to take off to do that long about 7AM... way before the shops open. I have no idea if she learned something from this, but Mayhem got paranoid about her staying away so long, so we had to stop by and make sure she was fine.

She's fine.

I have videos to post, a story to write, and an ankle to repeatedly ice. But at least

Sunday, Catching up, Archive Reads, and Other Things

I've written the story for the next Archive prompt. I've posted the meme for yesterday in Blahaj.zone. I'm about to write today's tale and work on tomorrow's video.

After a week of snippets and little patches, I have finished a chapter of ADT. Huzzah. Also good news - Toasty has finished Escape From Divinity but I don't have the freedom to watch it just yet. Because the Archive stream is still going.

The bread I spent three days making is looking

Saturday, Social Time is Very Important Darling

Spent most of today in very good company as the process of investigating Chaos' computer issues got properly unriddled. Diagnosis - one of her compy cooling fans wasn't.

She now has a temporary computer to see her over to the time in which the original is fixed. This will also help various server downtimes with our personal infrastructure. Or having backup systems when we need them.

And I do confess to spending some of the time I could have been writing in

Friday, Physio, Bread, and Leyland's Tour

I'm going off to have my heels hammered today. On the way back, I'm stopping at Costco, Dickson's, and Aldi. For a very pliable definition of "on the way back".

I'm also wrangling bread.

So today is definitely going to be "fun".

Added to this "fun" is the fact that Chaos' compy is not playing nice. I have to pack it up and haul it down to Adorable's tomorrow. Which means I'll also be packing up a cold pack, an ice brick,

Thursday, Mild Day PLN'd

I am taking it easy in between wrangling bread. That means not fussing about interruptions and allowing myself to write the offerings I want and then stop there.

I have the video ready for tomorrow, so all I need to fret about are: the bread, the offerings, and maybe getting a few more paragraphs into ADT. I am not getting fussy about that.

The rest of today will be spent in making my mountain.

I need the time to chill.

Wednesday, Rant Due, Videos, and Burnout

I am feeling exhausted from the moment I get out of bed, so I know I need a breather. I'm spending today, tomorrow, and the day after wrangling a double batch of bread and holy shit, I need a holiday.

If I record and edit Friday's video today, I can take tomorrow at ease. Or relative ease. I've given myself so much to do that I have to really juggle time in order to take time off.

Something's got to break, and

Tuesday, Shrink Day, Patreon, and Furthering PLNs

Mayhem's making mayonnaise and has decided that "power tools" are okay after all. Doing things by hand has some merit, and one of those is teaching you why tools exist in the first place.

Another one is knowing how to do the thing by hand.

Anyway. We're down to the last loaf of my bread, so I know what I'm doing for the next three days. Yes! Two firkin batches of bread because Chaos has managed to engulf an entire loaf in

Monday, Surprise Expedition, Backup Reads, and Further PLNs

Mayhem has just notified me that he has to go to town this morning. I'll be finding out later if this is going to be a regular thing. Then I can actually plan my Mondays around them.

A little more than an hour's warning would be nice.

I'm experimenting again with not using the ankle brace, since it seems to be okay this morning.

Of course I'm still babying it. Hoping for the best and ready -just in case- for a relapse.

Sunday, Archive Reads and PLNs

The Twitch channel AMothintheArchive is reading other writer's microfictions. I'm attending as normal.

Some time after Costco opens, I shall be offski on a rather urgent adventure since we're almost out of eggs. We're rather caning the supply.

I don't think I'm likely to go back to regular chain store eggs. Costco's are cheaper and more abundant. I'll also be picking up a few other things along the way because resupply seems to be my regular mission in life.

Meanwhile, I am

Saturday, Hair Experiment and Taking it Easy

Once more, I am stuck nursing my ankle and otherwise attempting to return what passes as my health.

I am doing better. I can wander around without the cane, and in the brief occasions when I'm not wearing the brace, I am reminded why I need it with the odd little twinge.

I need to go shopping at some point because, once again, we're powering through the eggs and flour. My bread's delicious and Mayhem and I have developed the habit of
