Wednesday, Rant, Shopping, Boycott YouTube cha cha cha

It's the 13 so I am staying off TubeTube today and tomorrow. In solidarity with all the other folks protesting the bloody stupid AI age limit thing.

And to add to that, I shall be doing a little something against Collective Shout. The regrettable mob of wowsers and pearl-clutchers that I happen to share a country with. Like most regrettable groups, they sometimes have a decent point. Age limiting TubeTube or forcing credit card companies to avoid income is not going to cut it.

So those of you who were looking forward to today's post on TubeTube? It's not happening. Friday is the day. Meanwhile, you can bookmark my Peertube channel and get my videos a lot fresher than TubeTube does.

Also in my PLNs is getting the usual offerings done, and maybe messing around with Heroforge to see what I can get out of their kitbashing feature.

...I'm actually thinking about partially animating A Devil's Tale. Somebody stop me before I burn out. I know damn well it will eat all my time and energy but there's still that little whisper in the hind-brain that tells me it can be done.

I need to smack myself on the nose with some rolled-up newspaper.

Onwards to the story.

Challenge #04608-L224: There's a Song About Smiling For Them

Galactics learn about some of the large predators that still live on earth. Including enormous reptiles like the Nile Crocodiles. Which are not only known to eat humans, if they can catch one, but are among the largest reptilian predators on the planet next to some snakes. -- The New Guy

The Alliance Guide to Galactic Wildlife has this entry on Terran reptiles: Most of them are venomous, poisonous, or otherwise dangerous. Do not approach unsupervised. Not even if their owner has

Tuesday, Patreon and Preparations

I have one chapter of ADT to share with my patrons. If I record the next video's audio, I might have more outtakes to gift them as well. I need to make the time to fix my cane cord. And it's looking like tomorrow may well be the day to commence another double batch of bread.

I can do this. I know I can do this... but the inertia to get started is too real.

And of course I have Pippi running

Challenge #04607-L223: Ultimatum Solution

All Wise and Glorious King Nydon has a problem. His daughter was (allegedly, cough, cough) turned into a goose, and while a magician duo has restored her form, the poor girl still has a bird brain. The magic twins tell the king only a quest with the one who found the goose-girl can restore her memories, the irritated pair being tasked with taking her to Wraithvine (who’ll get a few choice words in private).

Sequel to this: https://peakd.com/fiction/

Monday, Shenanigans Ensued

I gave Chaos the mission of heading to the shops to get my polident. She decided to take off to do that long about 7AM... way before the shops open. I have no idea if she learned something from this, but Mayhem got paranoid about her staying away so long, so we had to stop by and make sure she was fine.

She's fine.

I have videos to post, a story to write, and an ankle to repeatedly ice. But at least

Challenge #04606-L222: Nonviolent Defeat

"You WILL tell us how to undo this ship's lock-outs!" / 5...

"You know we'll find your crewmates before too long an FORCE them to tell us if you don't!" / 4...

"Playing ignorant Human??" / 3...

"What... why are you counting down like that?" / 2...

Good night.

Sunday, Catching up, Archive Reads, and Other Things

I've written the story for the next Archive prompt. I've posted the meme for yesterday in Blahaj.zone. I'm about to write today's tale and work on tomorrow's video.

After a week of snippets and little patches, I have finished a chapter of ADT. Huzzah. Also good news - Toasty has finished Escape From Divinity but I don't have the freedom to watch it just yet. Because the Archive stream is still going.

The bread I spent three days making is looking

Challenge #04605-L221: Murder by the Seaside

A seaside town is plagued by crows. Dark birds nesting in the roofs by the hundreds, cawing at all hours of the night, and ominously following the residents. They call Wraithvine {who might bring someone along if ze feels like it} to save them. For surely this is an omen of impending doom. --Deathhead419

Murder was afoot in Shorevale. It was also a-wing, nesting, and being a general pest, because crows had decided to infest the entire little fishing village. They

Saturday, Social Time is Very Important Darling

Spent most of today in very good company as the process of investigating Chaos' computer issues got properly unriddled. Diagnosis - one of her compy cooling fans wasn't.

She now has a temporary computer to see her over to the time in which the original is fixed. This will also help various server downtimes with our personal infrastructure. Or having backup systems when we need them.

And I do confess to spending some of the time I could have been writing in

Challenge #04604-L220: Much Ado in Ynsmuth

The leader of a coastal polity must renew a marriage alliance with the merfolk kingdom. Except he believes he has no daughter to offer. And so the leader’s youngest child must imbibe a transformative potion to wed the undersea prince. However, the intended bride seems upbeat at the prospect, for she is eager for the chance of changing into a more fitting form… -- Deathshead419

Ynsmuth had to renew its treaty with the merfolk in the deeps near their harbour. Part

Friday, Physio, Bread, and Leyland's Tour

I'm going off to have my heels hammered today. On the way back, I'm stopping at Costco, Dickson's, and Aldi. For a very pliable definition of "on the way back".

I'm also wrangling bread.

So today is definitely going to be "fun".

Added to this "fun" is the fact that Chaos' compy is not playing nice. I have to pack it up and haul it down to Adorable's tomorrow. Which means I'll also be packing up a cold pack, an ice brick,

Challenge #04603-L219: Look Upon My Works, Ye Mighty

A great king is perturbed when, whilst excavating the site for his masterwork, the monument which will secure his place in eternity, the workmen discover ancient statues and old foundations hinting that some unknown empire may have tried to do so before him.

And even worse, it seems like that empire might have been mightier than his. Someone needs to look into what’s going on here… -- Deathshead419

It was almost the perfect place to put his monument to himself as

Thursday, Mild Day PLN'd

I am taking it easy in between wrangling bread. That means not fussing about interruptions and allowing myself to write the offerings I want and then stop there.

I have the video ready for tomorrow, so all I need to fret about are: the bread, the offerings, and maybe getting a few more paragraphs into ADT. I am not getting fussy about that.

The rest of today will be spent in making my mountain.

I need the time to chill.

Challenge #04602-L218: Sew the Story Goes...

A lonely old woman sews a daughter for herself from soft cloth, downy feathers, and well worn buttons. It would be blessing if some fae creature or god breathed life into the dear one, wouldn’t it…? -- Deathshead419

You know the stories, don't you? Once upon a time, there was a lonely old... miller, baker, tailor, tinker, dressmaker, toymaker, pick one... who didn't have a spouse or a family as they began to grow old. What happened next changes from tale

Wednesday, Rant Due, Videos, and Burnout

I am feeling exhausted from the moment I get out of bed, so I know I need a breather. I'm spending today, tomorrow, and the day after wrangling a double batch of bread and holy shit, I need a holiday.

If I record and edit Friday's video today, I can take tomorrow at ease. Or relative ease. I've given myself so much to do that I have to really juggle time in order to take time off.

Something's got to break, and
