Thursday, Day 0, Scams Awareness

One new case, an import. Sixteen active cases and fourteen of them are in hospital. It's more or less holding steady.

I've only got today's scam and next week's to share. After that, it will be whatever crosses my path. I'm a cynical old B so it's going to be a hard time even getting me to look at the hook.

I have a busy weekend happening for me. Beloved is making noises like we will be programming together... also MeMum needs more How To Smartphone lessons because a surprise blackout left her unable to press the number on the keypad.

In the news:

  • Speaking of the blackout, a power station blew up in MeMum's neck of the woods (she's fine)
  • This has made the power people call for (wait for it) MORE COAL POWER because obviously the solution to something blowing up is to have more of that happening 9_9
  • Eddie McGuire claims he has contacts on the inside so he can call a lockdown before anyone else
  • UK PM's former advisor slams Boris Johnson for mishandling the plague outbreak
  • University chair questions the value of long lockdowns in the middle of a fucking plague outbreak
  • Shooter in San Jose opened fire on a union meeting and is now dead. Passive voice continues, so my bullshit sensors are redlining
  • Woman accidentally takes a bath for 16 hours, is terrified by what happened to her feet
  • Dude bungees a tub to a wheel so he can do laundry while driving. People call this brilliant for some reason (I call it dangerously unsafe)
  • Lady scammer who stole children finally waiting her sentence
  • Aussie iron ore set to drop in price
  • CEO who called workers operating at home "parasites" is now backpedalling so fast she could win the Tour De France

Wednesday, Day 0, Wordpress Once More

Two new cases, both imports. Sixteen total cases, twelve in hospital. I've got more of my Tiefling's story to share and more JavaScript to learn. And more novel to write, and another instant for your continued entertainment.

I'm back on the vegemite soup because I apparently need niacin. I also need to remember to keep the humidifier filled or I'll have a bad air day the next morning.

Monday, Day 1, Sideways!

Saturday, Day 0, Still Fasting

I'm still staying away from the carbs for another week. There's two new cases, both imports. Twelve total cases, nine in hospital.

I'm going to go without carbs for as long as possible. I can already see my fingers deflating from all the water weight. Either Sneezin' and Wheezin' Season is almost over or the fast is working because I've been breathing easier these past few days. I am, however, still sneezing. Alas. I'll get to the other end of it eventually.

My normal routine is on the road this morning. I shall be working on the lappy as I go a-roaming. My shrink is in for some edutainment today.

Monday, Day 0, Plots and PLNs

One new case today, an import. Thirteen total cases. Twelve in hospital. Pretty much the same statistics as yesterday. Stable is better than regression.

Today's pln involves cleaning up party mess because Miss Chaos turned 16 on Sunday. Lots of unsuitable food lying around. Including a big ol' platter of sushi.

Sunday, Day 0, Chaos' Birthmas

One new case, an import. Thirteen total cases, and twelve in the hospital. Still double figures, but smaller double figures than the previous normal. Miss Chaos is sweet sixteen and yet to find someone to love. Let her take her time.

She's already got new clothes of her own choosing, a fresh haircut, a money card[birthday card with cash inside], and a cake awaiting consumption. It's going to be a relatively quiet celebration.

No new cases, leaving thirteen active cases, all of which are in hospital. I now have my hooks into a tradie and the deal goeth thusly:

Friday, Day 1, Impending Birthmas

Miss Chaos turns sweet sixteen this Sunday. Huzzah. There's already enough sweet things in this house to change the shape of my hands, so I am doing Keto in Hard Mode(tm). I'll do some solid fasts next week and get back on track. Not looking forward to living off of mostly salty broth, but it's what I gotta do for my health and here we are.
