Busy Busy

A 269-post collection

Monday, Day Two, Let's GO!

Today, I have a lot on my plate. Today, I am putting more words into KOSTSS. Today, I am unfuckening the house. Also today, I am getting hold of our financial moguls to attempt a tax sortening. On the PHONE.

I'm going to be blasted by four PM for sure.

IF I have the energy to do any arting, I will, but... I probably won't have the energy to art.

Tomorrow, I may make an expedition into a dollar shop for art supplies. Brushes. Then I shall learn how to write legibly with one. THEN I get back to Kosh's journal in the wee smol hours. Yay?

I give myself too much to do, sometimes.

In the news:

  • ScoMo warns of tough times ahead with all the mutant plague strains turning up
  • Save your MuppetDollaz, the Orange Menace will rise again! It worked for the South, it's sure to work for him [/sarcasm]
  • Amateurs blamed for outbreak in WA
  • MP's locked into quarantine thanks to plague outbreak in Canberra. I hope they get the same shitty quarantine hotel food that everyone else got. If only so they do some policy changes about that
  • Economists slam WA border shutdown. Again 9_9
  • Bad knicker elastic causes embarrassment and unexpected excitement as a jock strap fails mid-game
  • Perth goes nuts before/during the new lockdown. I guess it's traditional now
  • Muppet's legal team bails on him
  • Neighbours to Mar-a-lago turn NIMBY against the orange canker
  • GameStop stock still skyrocketing
  • US citizen misses Australians calling him a 'legend'. Aaaw...
  • AIDS traced to a WW1 soldier who was forced to eat chimpanzees. Colonisation, prostitution, and "well meaning" public health campaigns did the rest
  • Mr Apology encountered a vast amount of people who never felt remorse

Okay. I got an hour before it's time to watch for the bus. Let's get some fiction out there.

Wednesday, Day One, Gallumphing

Miss Chaos goes to school today. I have to organise the potential sammich stuffings and put a note in the bag about said sammiches. I actually took a break to make sure that was done.

Yay. Now to make sure Miss Chaos actually gets moving before it's time to hustle onto the bus for a fun first day of schooling. Little Miss Pessimism insists there's no point so she got the Education Is Important lecture.

A peek at the news:

Saturday, shenanigans

I'm not looking at the stats, I'm not looking at the news. I am, however, looking at less than an hour to get my story out there, so it's an interesting day.

We're on the road and headed for Scenic Coominya RSN.

Whooshka.

Let's get some narrative done.

And if it isn't out in an hour? It's probably posted on roaming charges. You're welcome. Stick a Ko-fi into my kitty if you can. Thanks in advance.

Tuesday, Day Zero, Dentistry

I'm seeing the dentist later on this morrow, so I'm certain to be lightly toasted before sunset. Gonna remember to brush my teeth more often, I swear.

Not in my favour that I swear that regularly, and keep breaking that vow through pure absent-mindedness. I have more delightful things to do than smear my mouth with mint.

At least I don't have a lot of plaque...

I finished the smol tale in which I made myself cry. Watch for it on my

Wednesday, Day Zero, Wordpress

Fifteen active cases in total. All from overseas. All in quarantine. New South Wales is entering that twenty-eight day milestone of no in-community transmission. Which means Queensland can relax about travellers from NSW at long freaking last.

Victoria seems to be treating this seriously as well. Huzzah.

I woke up at one in this morning and I have a PTA thing involving Chaos' future path in life. She's good at making cryptids now, but IDK about doing a career out of that.

Sunday, Day Zero, One Day of Rest PLN'd

Good news - I have a decent amount of bread in the freezer. Bad news, it was a long and complicated process because I also had to take the cats to the vet and intercept unanticipated house visitors.

Yeeps.

Sourdough on its own is complicated enough. Twice that plus cats plus unintended running around plus bread juggling1... leads to one exhausted 'Nutter. I earned treats, but I only had strawberry cheesecake Haagen Daaz.

Then Beloved babysat my breads and voluntarily got

Sunday! Day One

Shenanigans are afoot as the family are trekking out to Scenic Coominya. I'm also trucking MeMum there so I had to Very PLN for today.

Part of those PLNs will involve getting some sugar-free caffeine tubes for the trip. Whee.

MeMum is twice as paranoid as I am with this plague. I saw in the news that "covid particles" have been found in the sewer system. Given that this happened up North without an outbreak, I'd posit that this is a potential

Monday - Day One

This is the week that I go duck hunting. I'm going to get those little quackers in line for Miss Chaos' admission into the NDIS if it firkin kills me. This, in turn, means a potential week of phone tag with her case manager. Yay.

I spent ALL WEEKEND downloading Baldur's Gate 3, and its associated character creator. I'll be playing with that after I'm done with my shenanigans for today.

Thusly, the PLN is:

  1. Write stuff whilst waiting for 9AM
  2. Once

Wednesday - Day One

No new cases and a lot of running around on my schedule today. Mayhem has a doctor's appointment. We need to buy cat food. I also need to pop into Spotlight and get hold of some florists' wire to fix the catwalk because the pool carpet is slipping.

Stick a broom up my butt and I can sweep the floor on the way.

In the news:

  • Muppet doubles down on claiming the plague was created and unleashed on purpose by China
  • Sweden

So Here's Teh PLN... (Day Zero)

Two new cases closely linked with a school (institution) and a hospital (also institution). Then there's that muggins from Victoria who got bagged by border control in Brisbane airport. Thanks, arsehat. Now an entire plane of people have to put their plans and lives on hold because you had to be an entitled git.

Onwards with Teh PLN because some of this nonse can't wait for one arsehat. I made myself a busy day. Just look at this:

  • Instant story
  • 100 words

From Mission Impossible to Yakety Sax

Today's PLN includes a trip to my shrink, a mission for cream and maybe strawberries, and the usual nonsense that is what passes for a life in my neck of the woods.

Thusly, I shall be posting what there is of my Patreon offerings first. I know I'm writing in my novel again, but there's still not a finished chapter because the chapter in progress isn't long enough.

I do not have more of much. Sorry Patrons. At least I should be

Thursday Already? AUGH!

Well, I have definitely been keeping busy. This morning's experiment is muffins, which are still in the process of cooking in the oven.

Last time I checked, they were looking pretty good.

The last thing I need before publishing my progress is the actual cooking time.

We're up to one hour now.

I still have all my other output to do, but by gum, I know I can do it.

Figuring out what to quit so I have more time for fun

::Trumpet Riff::

So. Today, I have already fed the sourdough and made Accidental Crepes. I saw Miss Chaos ready for her day, and wrote two hundred out of my allotted five hundred for today.

Very soon indeed, I shall be rocketting off to see Miss Chaos' school about the learning plan, possibly what Keto does to folks, and anything useful I could provide for the entire learning journey.

Mayhem should have had a shift today, but he's down with some kind of Lurgi [GOD

So Sideways...

Harvesting and feeding the sourdough takes me some time, and I really should be blogging about it all. The problem was where to put it. Instagram has turned into phone-only nonsense and putting a recipe up there is not my best way to waste time.

I briefly entertained using somewhere like Squarespace, but I think they cost money.

However, I also have an alternate Steemit account [which reveals more about me than I want known here] so the entire sourdough experiment will

SIDEWAYS! As per normal...

I began my experimental sourdough starters on Saturday and had a "harvest" this morning of sourdough leftovers.

I say "leftovers" because part of the sourdough starter brewing process is halving the starter and getting rid of one half. You should know by now that I hate wasting stuff, so I considered myself blessed when I found out that there are several ways to cook and eat that.

One dude fries it up with fresh herbs and stuff on top and uses the
