Fun was had (reprise)

Virtuality is fun. Even when you suck at twitch gaming and you die a lot. The equipment is heavy and my slender neck couldn't handle that. I had my hardy perennial trouble with headphones because my ears be too big, so I'm not blaming them for that.

Bring on over-ear, off-head headphones that don't crush the cartilage. I know they exist, but the price is beyond common acquisitions at the moment.

Grumble, grumble, mutter, mutter.


Today, I am going to weave my little tales - hopefully without the glaring inaccuracies of yesterday's - and then faff off and play games for the rest of the day.

Yes, folks, I am aware that too much caffeine and too much adrenaline is deadly. Even to deadly Deathworlder's like Humans. I wasn't clear about the dosage and thought 'scratch' was enough to imply that the dose was lighter than -say- direct injection.

My bad. I will endeavour to do better.

Today is possibly the first day where I don't have to go out and do anything or spend any money.

Well. Apart from the option of brat-fetching late in the afternoon.

My life has been turned upside-down this week because Mayhem's suspected gallstones [we still have to see whether they is or they aint] have had me all over everywhere like a mad knitter's stash.

I'm losing weight at last!

I started this year at 95.4kg, just a few small kilos away from 100kg. I made a resolution to lose weight and get fitter, so immediately I went out and stuffed myself for the annual new years’ rello visit.

Hubby didn’t help, either. Next night, he took me out to Sizzler’s.

Slowly Getting There

I took an actual day off, today. Well, most of a day off.

Possibly 50% of a day off.

Because a Mum’s work is never done. I can’t have a complete day off.

The dog got out and I had to go catch him. Invisible fences are looking increasingly attractive right now.

And I spent the afternoon teaching Mayhem (my eldest) that playing with the dog is fun.
