Saturday, Parkrun, Lurgi, and Shenanigans

Yesterday, I baked bread. Behold:

This is my "lazy" loaf. Where I don't really bother to divide it into two loaves. The bottom side is a little too hard and overcooked but the inside is everything you could want from wholemeal flour.

The little seeds are chia.

Next time, I'm going to weigh the chia separately so I can soak it before the autolysing, and also do the flour math. One kilo of flour minus the weight of chia seeds. And a little extra water to make it a little less stiff.

I found my silicone bread "tins" so the odds of two loaves has increased. I just gotta make sure I have the right kinds of fabric for the final proofs.

I have done my fiftieth parkrun, today. That's a cheev. It was also something of a cheev to do that in a very warm cape on a very warm day. It was so humid today that I practically had a bath during the walk.

Beloved has Lurgi, and it's a lurgi that's laid Adorable low. So she's going back to Adorable's to keep the bug away from me. I should very hope.

So I'll be taking her back to Adorable's shortly after I finish the day's offerings. I need a lot of caffeine and maybe a little napnap.

Saturday, Parkrun and Pooped

My feet hate me. My knees hate me. I still managed to make it. It was wet as all get-out and Miss Chaos and I needed dry socks after the thing.

I had entertained the idea of wearing my beach shoes when it's that wet, but my feet would never forgive me for doing that. Drat it.

I have finally and at last finished Chapter 358 of A Devil's Tale, the epic story of a devilborn whose love life has gone to hell. The chapter was dragging under the weight of shinier ideas elsewhere. [coughcough Astarion Baldursgate coughcough]

Saturday, Parkrun and Weather Woes

The weather outside is frightful, indeed. Miss Chaos and I did parkrun in the middle of Air Soup with a brief speckling of a shower in the midst thereof.

The rain absolutely POURED down on the way back home. Visibility minimal. Prangs a-plenty slowing everyone down to have a good old lookie-loo as they passed.

My power and/or internet my go out at any moment, since the rain is still threatening and the weather warnings are still coming in.

We had one fuck of a storm last night and currently, our connection to the internet is limited to my phone.

Unless I can get everything fixed before bedtime, there's not going to be anything from me until further notice.

My phone data is limited, and I'm using some of it just too get this message out there.

Beloved and Adorable are in foreign climes, so it was just Chaos and I for the parkrun. Mayhem doesn't want to join the cult the activity and that's his choice.

Beloved is another year older this very day, and we are going to see Spamalot this afternoon as part of the festivities.

Which leaves me very few hours to get my offerings out there and to get organised for the outing.

I still have no idea as to whether I shall be able to do the VTRRPG stream or the story stream tomorrow. Time, and my personal battery levels, will tell.

I'm getting up an hour earlier because daylight savings in Europe. I just got back from both parkrun and a Leyland's Tour.

I really need to hurry through my offerings so I can get a proper rest because waking up at 2 fucking AM to run a VTTRPG sesh for four hours.

I am going to be firkin useless tomorrow. Be warned.

I got the wibbly wobblies because looming undefined terror that will likely reveal itself in the fullness of time after it's passed.

Turns out that my wake-up music playlist is great for my walking speed. I got a cyclone headache on the drive to parkrun.

I made good time this week because I purposely pulled ahead of Miss Chaos towards the end of the 5K. She continued to plod along at her own pace.

I got eleven weeks until my fiftieth parkrun. That promises to be some fun because I have a firkin soundtrack for that. Yay.

I got Miss Chaos running to win this week. She really earned her sweet treat.

It looks like the game tomorrow morning might be off. Still consulting with my players about that.
