Fun was had. Friction is generating.

So we had some decent RP. Not a lot of decent fights, but some decent RP. We had all players but I didn't have enough warning to buy Krispy Kremes for the entire group. I let them know though.

I might be on the hook for a gigantic box of doughnuts, next fortnight.

Highlights:

  • Barbarian too scared to confront my Tief so he sent a note up with his invisible servant
  • My Tief gave him lines ["I will not shoot my allies" x 100, and "I will not attack nobles" x 100]
  • Barbarian then adds paper to his notes and doesn't do the lines. IDK what he's doing with the damn pencil, but this is going to haunt Herr Fucknuts every single time he wants something
  • An attempt at prisoner exchange - me for the two in jail - failed and I added to the jail populace. Dangit
  • Got out with a forged document that we don't know is forged [Barbarian does!]
  • Hiding a Zhent for 10 days whilst we were also under moderately close attention by the law
  • Attempting to get reason out of a Nimblewright that was NOT as clever as its progenitor
  • City Watch always arriving 10 minutes late with Starbucks just to give us all aggro
  • Fucking going after what boils down to a magic rock as the chain of custody gets longer and longer and LONGER... [I started humming Yakety Sax at this point]
  • ...aaaaannnd it's now in the hands(?) of Xanathar and his thief's guild

Next sesh has GOT to be a dungeon crawl. Lots of fighting and whatnot. I know one player who's eager for that noise.

Today... after I do the Instant... I have nothing planned and I want to enjoy it.

Let's get going on that.

Finally! Rest... (sort of)

Well, today is the 7th day of feeding the starters, and I now have them resting in the fridge so that I have time for other things. Like taking a firkin BREAK.

It's the thirteenth this month, which happens to be a Friday, so there is an almost mandatory uptick in gambling. I won't be having a flutter via $1 scratchie. I am content in hoping my "cheesy bread" will actually turn out okay.

Thursday Already? AUGH!

Well, I have definitely been keeping busy. This morning's experiment is muffins, which are still in the process of cooking in the oven.

Last time I checked, they were looking pretty good.

The last thing I need before publishing my progress is the actual cooking time.

We're up to one hour now.

I still have all my other output to do, but by gum, I know I can do it.

So. Today, I have already fed the sourdough and made Accidental Crepes. I saw Miss Chaos ready for her day, and wrote two hundred out of my allotted five hundred for today.

Very soon indeed, I shall be rocketting off to see Miss Chaos' school about the learning plan, possibly what Keto does to folks, and anything useful I could provide for the entire learning journey.

So Sideways...

Harvesting and feeding the sourdough takes me some time, and I really should be blogging about it all. The problem was where to put it. Instagram has turned into phone-only nonsense and putting a recipe up there is not my best way to waste time.

SIDEWAYS! As per normal...

I began my experimental sourdough starters on Saturday and had a "harvest" this morning of sourdough leftovers.

I say "leftovers" because part of the sourdough starter brewing process is halving the starter and getting rid of one half. You should know by now that I hate wasting stuff, so I considered myself blessed when I found out that there are several ways to cook and eat that.

Experiments underway!

I got some sourdough starters incubating on my kitchen countertop. One with almond meal, two with wholemeal. One is later going to use bread flour, the other is using wholemeal flour.

I might get a fourth jar to try the protein flour on one of the halved starters. I don't think sourdough is going to do well on protein though. Beloved suggested and... It could be worth a shot.

FOF is now meeting me this morning so I have to hurry and make y'all an Instant pretty quick and I am off to a fabulous start by watching YouTube videos so today's tale might be WAY late.

Monday Once More... AUGH!

Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow.

I spent most of yesterday looking up and getting a crick in my neck, or going up and down from a step-stool. So my neck and neck muscles HURT and so to do my thighs.

Right after I publish today's Instant, I am having a nice hot soak. Then - potentially - a massage. Or at minimum a nice relax sesh with bad food and fun TV. I've earned it.

Shenanigans!

It's the morning after the night before and, despite having D&D, I'm reasonably well-rested.
