Okay. I can do this...

I just put the skeleton of a plot together for books one and two of Kingdom of Sand. Fantastic, but I still haven't worked out our heroes, how magic works, or anything of the ilk.

I should do that sometime RSN. I'm thinking Equivalent Exchange plus Personal Will and True Awareness equals magical powers and the ability to change what is. It should be tremendously difficult and maybe two of the party at most has a nebulous handle on the stuff.

Might could make my trans heroine a little bit magical. A fraction of the mightiest and most reputable, that she uses for practical purposes. I know, I know... potential Mary Sue yadda yadda, but... There would be more people with like, one small ability that they can use near-instinctively than there would be people who can Warp the World to Their Whims (tm). Those would be extremely rare nerds who spend their whole lives studying things and hoping one of their progeny is a prodigy so they can pass on their tips and tricks.

Putting that in the narrative might feel like an afterthought if they don't meet someone of Superior Skill(tm) somewhere along the way in the first book. So I gotta find a place for that. Maybe a Roaming Mage breezes through my heroine's life and she asks about the transformation she needs in order to feel whole.

Obvi, they're one of the few people she can feel comfortable talking about that, because being trans induces a lot of paranoia, et cetera. The educated can be cool about it, but many... just aren't. We know this.

I have a lot to sort out and no trans ppl of colour to ask. Halp.

Meanwhile, in physical project news, I was able to calibrate the saw, yesterday. Loads of running around and appointments and bullshit. Including a costco run to see where the hell they hid the seaweed this week.

I swear, they just move that shit wherever they feel like it... It's frustrating. On the other hand, Chaos loves the fuck out of them and I'm partial, so it's a winner.

Now it is time for Chaos' Bus Watching, so I shall be scribing more of a fanfic whilst I wait. No news from the Apple Store about my returning lappy, yet. I can barely wait. Being able to take all of my show on the road is freedom for me.

But wait I must. And wait I shall do now.

Progressing... Slowly

Executive decisions are being made. My concerns about the initial bends in some of our planks has been addressed at last - we're using nuts and bolts to put this behemoth together.

We have more toys, in this case, an iron-shaped sanding thingie to adjust the fact that I cut some holes too narrow for the wood to fit. Because I stressed about the whole "mark with chalk" part of the deal. I know better now.

PLNs, Health, and Assorted Catastrophes

We've finished all the notching for the lowest side of the Kitty Kondo(tm), so that's ready for assembly. In light of the last asthma attack, I am now the proud owner of a SuperMask(tm) that makes a satisfactory Darth Vader noise when I breathe out, so yay. It does not smell, it does not make me feel like I'm suffocating, it especially keeps out the pathogens, and it's only mildly inconvenient with glasses, so it's a winner in my book.

Almost Done!

I've been doing 1K a day so I have all the more time for other projects and worldbuilding for my next WIP.

Speaking of WIP's, I have made a beginning on editing Ep4 of Inter-Mission. Which means I'm one episode closer to actually publishing these mofos. If I put them out on non-game-night Fridays, I have an occasion I should easily remember.

Should is not is. In this case, 'should is not will'. It's not a guarantee, it's more of a hope.

Heading For the End

This is the last week of writing B'Nar. Yeeks. The last 3K. This is terrifying and exciting and invigorating at the same time. After this, after a week off to fart about and maybe work on some fanfictions and definitely worldbuild...

I am about to embark on my biggest project yet.

An entire trilogy. Not a baby one like Hevun's Child, but a big-arse one. Three books of 120K each. 360K words over three years. Likely sweating cobs the entire time.

A Day of Rest

Sunday. As far as I'm aware, we have no plans. Which means I have a chance to go nowhere and do nothing. It's a rare treat to have that.

Beloved and I have designed the skeleton of the future Kitty Kondo(tm) and we will be making plans to go to a Tradie's shop during the week so we can acquire all the mats.

That's "materials" for anyone who's never played World of Warcraft.

GAME NIGHT! Woot Woot!

After a month of deprivation, we're back in the game :D I'm stoked. The ur-game of D&D is back on for sure.

Every player, consciously or no, plays "break the DM" because making your DM laugh is such fun. Likewise, making them say, "What the fuck?" or calling on their deities in any tone of voice.
