Challenge #04269-K251: A Singular Sanctuary

They travelled with Wraithvine for a while, learning to cope with so many years. Though they were very few and far between, they learned there were others like themselves. So they founded the Immortal Village. Where people with same, or similar, condition could live in peace, help others from, and find solace together. Important part, was Waithvine helped found it.

Tales are told of a distant mountain valley that holds the secrets of immortality. It's far from the remainder of civilisation, difficult to get to, and apparently a timeless paradise.

The tales people tell each other are almost pure fiction.

The elements of truth are there, like individual grains in a vast desert. You have to know where to look. There is a mountain valley, and it is inhabited by immortals. Most of the citizens live simple lives, but they're not monastic. It is a beautiful place, but it is not quite a paradise. There's always room for improvement.

Challenge #04249-K231: Never Work Alone

I once thought that time was of no concern to me. Distance yourself from others and stay focused on your work. A few years or a few hundred… it’s all the same. But after all this, I’ve realized the perhaps this way of thinking is fundamentally flawed. The passing of time have its own consequences. The answer that I’ve been searching for amongst all those lives…

Perhaps it’s life itself. -- Anon Guest

Time, wise philosophers say, can

Challenge #03756-J103: Everyone Needs a Hobby

One is a dragon, the other a human cursed with immortality. They fell in love, and they spend their long life running a forge in a lovely small city. -- Anon Guest

Welcome to Dragonforge, the first place to create and use Feathermetal. It, and neighbouring Redmine, are notorious for both this and insisting on remaining a little place in the middle of nowhere.

They could have made an empire on the basis of Feathermetal, but there was one thing that made

time loop -- Anon Guest

[AN: Link leads to a looping video featuring temporal paradox. Very clever editing]

"Drink to become... something... immortal," read Thygrun the Powerful. He didn't need to think, he popped the cork and raised it to his lips.

"Don't take it," warned Thygrun the Powerful, yelling at him from across the room. "You'll regret it forever!"

Thygrun had taken one sip already. "What? Are you meant to be me?"

"Yes! The potion doesn't create eternal life. It creates

I wanted to get into the fun with the odd litch who worked to punish the wicked and help the people in need. He should be rewarded. But it is the posting called "Who Waits Forever Anyway?"

They looked down upon the realms of man. Boredom was always something a god

Challenge #02504-F314: Who Waits Forever Anyway?

This Prompt harkens back to the lich who talked to an adventurer explaining how he made sure the corrupt got the karma they deserved. https://steemit.com/fiction/@internutter/challenge-02264-f074-health-spa-and-karma-services.

It had been a few hundred years since the talk with adventurer, the "spa service" was going well and a few innocents would wander in from time to time hoping to be healed from illnesses no others seem to be able, or willing, to help them cure. Surprising how many clerics are

Challenge #01309-C214: I am Immortal, You're Not

Oh my god wonder of wonders an ancient semi-immortal race understands that time is valuable. -- RecklessPrudence

Immortals have some odd habits. One that stands out is spending hundreds of years on perfecting Apple Pie. Right down to breeding the perfect apple, the right kind of bees, and just the right kind of grain.

Currently, Duroc the Everlasting was analysing the maple sap for the correct kind of sweetness.

Heaven help the world when she finally decided to work on the ice
