Dear Diary

I Wore Myself Out

All the chaos of yesterday meant that, by about one in the afternoon, I was DONE with the day. I also had to wait for Chaos to come home, go out shopping for more vegetables, and start prepping so that all the meat prepared in the morning would have a side to go with when they enter our (tada!) brand new freezer!

The new upright freezer is looking very swish. It has a temperature readout, it has an alert to let you know you've been leaving it open too long, it even has flip panels for easy access, in the top two shelves. It is amazeballs. The old one has gone for safe disposal and, to be more than honest, we don't miss it very much.

Honestly, the old one was made for long-term storage of things, not daily access by a family of four.

For those of you who are thinking of food prep, I have to warn you: The worst part of prepping meals in advance is all the washing up afterwards. It's an entire bag of suck. And cleaning up after Monday's cooking extravaganza was part of the reason why I was DONE by 1PM.

The menu of prepping today only includes the lowest-effort stuff. Cauli Mash and Coodles [cabbage noodles, also known as Caboodles]. There is going to be FUCKTONS of prepped meals by the time I'm done and dusted with all of this mess.

Chaos' bus arrives sometime closer to 7:45, so I'm about due to watch for that business.

If I have leftover veg' and run out of meats (haha!) then I have some fish steaks I can gently cook until I actually run out. Individually wrapped (gah! Sorry, environment) so I can refreeze anything left over at the end.

Yoiks and away...

Sideways!

Today promises to be some kind of fun.

1) Worming the cats
2) Acquiring new upright freezer
3) Unfuckening the house
4) Chaos is back to school, and I didn't get notified about when the bus arriveth

So far:

1) The cats are sequestered with doped foodstuffs in separate rooms... and objecting.
2) It's already half an hour into the time window the freezer people gave us for them to arrive and install [6:30 AM to 10:30 AM] but we

Day off? Not so much.

Today is a long weekend day, because there's nothing Australia loves more than an extra day of sloth. Not for me, though.

Me? I have half a table's worth of vegetables and a whole bunch of meats to cook up into an incredible bunch of pre-prepared meals so that myself and anyone else feeling lazy and not in a cooking mood can just heat and eat some keto-friendly joy.

There happens to be a LOT of fish in our collective inventory, so

Sunday!

We went to visit Capt. S in the hospital. She's had a close encounter with something sharp and infectious. It could be one of the snakes that populate the entire country - a relatively harmless one called the swamp snake.

By "relatively harmless", I mean "shouldn't kill you if it bites you". This is Australia. You can still wind up in hospital from a "relatively harmless" snake bite.

It could have easily been anything else sharp and infectious. A burr, a bit

Saturday! Saturday!

All I have to do today is this blog and the Instant. Which means -theoretically- more freedom to do the things I enjoy.

Alas, my lovely family has been helping me eat my prepped meals, so part of today's adventures is going to involve going out and getting supplies for the NEXT batch of meal preps. We also have to defrost the upright freezer so there's room for all the stuff we actually consume, as opposed to the stuff that's been sitting

End of the Week Already?

It's Friday! What I have on my schedule is added to by the unfuckening of the house. I have finished editing an episode of Inter-Mission so the next thing to do for the podcast is to record more tales from the weird side.

I'll probably end up doing that during the wee small hours in the morning.

I have 1K to write so I can reach my target goal of 75K this week. If I have the chance for fun times, I'll

I hav a PLN

So I slept in this morning - aka I had a full night's sleep. On one hand - that's good for my noggin. On the other hand, not so great for my followers and the chances of gaining viewers to the stream.

Have no fear, dear readers. I have a PLN.

Thursday's one of those days that don't require too much out of me, so... after I've successfully produced an Instant, I shall be streaming the editing the rest of the podcast

Arghleblarleflarf...

So. I paid for new uniform parts for Chaos yesterday. The day to collect those are today and tomorrow. I'm fairly certain that my order won't be there today. I still have to try for it, though.

Paranoia is a wonderful thing when it teams up with Anxiety and drives this meat suit of mine.

I'm currently debating what to write for Wordpress today and it's probably going to be about "normal" and adaptivity and a middle finger in the general direction

I got organised! Gasp!

Accomplished this morning since I got woken up at like 2:30AM:

  • Stream of editing the next episode of Inter-Mission.
  • Patreon content posted.
  • Acquisition of colourful exterior body wrappings for junior spawn, aka Chaos (Stage One).

Stage Two will happen tomorrow or Thursday. Depending on when they have the stuff in store. I will, of course, apologise for the hassle I introduced to them. My fault. I didn't think of looking for them on Facebook until it was almost too late.

Now

Enter Procrastination Mode

...did I ever leave it? Discuss.

I actually got distracted into finding out about the thing I needed to do and this is one of the very few times that procrastination has worked in my favour. I'm taking that win. Mostly because now I have a PLN.

Huzzah.

The PLN today is to get on with getting on. Money run, house unfuckening, output... All the juicy goodness I can expect on a Monday.

But first... I have a confession.

First, I slept

Late start today

Toasty has been streaming awesome art that makes me want to hide and not practice doodling again :P I've been seeing lots of progress on the next installment of the Divinity Saga(tm).

That said, I'm currently functioning on like two hours sleep -if that- so five seconds after the stream ends, I am shutting down and catching up on some shut-eye.

The story and anything else I do will be likely happening very late indeed.

I'm very tired.

There will be

An early start

Beloved and I got woken up by heavy rains. A good soaking will help the plants grow and the local wildlife stay hydrated. This is a good thing, but we need it to not flood.

I saw the beginnings of a conspiracy video concerning weather control, and it was all "this is the thing" and zero proof, but the person who shared it with Steemit seemed to think that these rain machines were why Australia's on fire now.

There was no walkthrough

::Sits back with popcorn::

People have stopped investing in coal! This is awesome news for the environment, but terrible news for the Australian economy because we as a nation have been riding on the coal nugget's back for quite some significant time.

Of course, ScoMo and pals could have seen this coming when China, our biggest buyer of Aussie coal, started making moves to clean up their air quality. I'd have bailed the fuck out of coal back then.

...the second-best time to do that is

Whoof...

There's only three stories in Episode 21 of Inter-Mission because story #3 is We're Mostly Harmless, I Swear... the one that started off all the Space Orciness in my pet universe. It's a long, long story. So is the immediate next one.

The fires in NSW and Victoria are finally dying down. I suspect it's more due to there being little left to burn. Of course, there being an influx of severe rainstorms is probably helping with the lack of fire, but

This blog versus 750 words

So most of you who follow my Tumblr know that I've signed on to 750words.com for the one month free trial. Unlike other 'free' trials, it doesn't require access to your credit card first, so that's an automatic win right there.

I also have had a cyclone headache for longer than 12 hours. I'm on painkillers now, but sooner or later, I shall have to cash in that prescription for panaforte or whatever it was with the codeine because cyclone season
