Monday Again? Okay.

This week's goal is a total of 81K in KOSBOB, and today's goal is unfuckening the house followed by adjusting the new cover for 2019's Year of Instants.

If I can get that done with relative ease [I mean, there's not a lot I have to do to the cover to make it ready] then I can try to focus on finishing off the formatting. THEN I can maybe just post the dang story.

Fingers crossed.

I have maybe three quarters of an hour to make a start on the Instant. Then there's the bus watch and writing in KOSBOB. THEN the money run, unfuckening and so on.

Busy.

I can do this. I know I can. I just keep on going.

It seems to have worked?

Like... I didn't have any freezing. I was able to do other things [though I did move the writing of the Instant to my lappy whilst the main compy did the Disk Doctor thing] and all SEEMS okay.

All these compy shenanigans have been why I've procrastinated all of that noise. So. I'll do the important stuff

In order to try and make my compy last a little longer, I am trying to fix it myself. Brace for explosions.

Step 1) Backup the drive [currently in progress]
Step 2) Run Disk Doctor on it all
Step 3) Pray hard

If this works, then I don't need to fret about any further fixes... for now.

If it doesn't work, then I have to make an appointment with the local Apple Store to get the hard drive replaced. Sigh.

So my main compy is dying and Plan B is just using my laptop 100% of the time. Not fun since the lappy refuses to let me in to my own forum for reasons that perplex me.

It might need a new hard drive installed(Plan A), which would honestly be cheaper than the roughly $4K needed to replace the entire machine.

I got sick of the outside temperature and its effect on my bod, so I shaved a metric cat's worth of hair off'a my head.

Morning Art Stream

It's one in the morning, there's going to be some WIP happening and I'm... probably not going to do anything interesting at all this AM. If I'm extremely lucky, I might be able to create an Instant Story before I slink off to sleep again.

Not going great because YouTube is entrancing.

Tonight is game night and I am so pumped about it that I awoke at 3AM and had various difficulties sleeping the remainder of the morning.

I am going to be WRECKED tomorrow. Be warned.

With the grace of the Powers That Be, and a LOT of caffeine, I and my character will survive the evening. I plan on having fun with everything, no matter what.

I have leftover coodles, one head of cauliflower, and the equivalent of one and a half sugarloaf cabbages. All of which, I am leaving to my Beloved to cook something out of it all.

I have Tuna steaks, which could theoretically be fried today and packed up with the leftover coodles, but there is just one small snag.

The new freezer is full to the brim with pre-packaged frozen meals.

Chaos, for the record, has already started helping me eat it all.

I Wore Myself Out

All the chaos of yesterday meant that, by about one in the afternoon, I was DONE with the day. I also had to wait for Chaos to come home, go out shopping for more vegetables, and start prepping so that all the meat prepared in the morning would have a side to go with when they enter our (tada!) brand new freezer!

Today is a long weekend day, because there's nothing Australia loves more than an extra day of sloth. Not for me, though.

We went to visit Capt. S in the hospital. She's had a close encounter with something sharp and infectious. It could be one of the snakes that populate the entire country - a relatively harmless one called the swamp snake.
