Approaching Normal

I have both sets of braining meds! Interestingly, the ones that had to wait for stock beat out the ones that had to cross the Pacific Oceans to get to me.

The cat flap is repaired with a qualifier attached in the flavour of "for now".

We are going to need a new one. But it's at a state of being in which it can do it's job. For now.

My car has been surrendered to the mechanics and I will find out when that's going to be fixed - and hopefully completely fixed this time.

Even though I have made exactly $0 out of This is Awkward - the album I made out of loops for some tolerably OK EDM... I have commenced work on the second, currently untitled album the second.

Suggestions for such welcome.

One musical piece done, eleven to go.

Then I can whine about not earning a hundred dollars from my musical shenanigans on the interwebs.

Meh. At this rate, I'd be better off releasing it for free via Pillowfort and Tumblr. With whatever I feel is funny for an album cover.

Some smartarse will probably yell at me for releasing it for free whilst I'm still trying to sell it, but... eh. I figure if people want to give me money for this stuff, they will. It's no real skin off my nose. Just a massive disappointment.

I woke up at 2AM today, and it's already gone six. I've spent a majority of those hours (a) getting Episode Fifteen of Inter-Mission finalised and (b) making the next set of music I can mix into the podcast.

I should start keeping a checklist so I don't have any further hassles remembering which one I used where. At least I have plenty of music for any future time-lapses I do when I get back to editing those Minecraft videos.

If I ever get back to that noise, that is.

Speaking of disappointments, I should really get on with today's tale...

Huzzah!

My actual work compy is NOT dying! It doesn't even need repairs.

Nope, it was just my dumb arse keeping every tab in the world open that made it strain its poor little self. And since I've ceased being a dumbarse, I don't need a new compy.

A new lappy is now the goal, but we're sitting on our money until the latest lappy comes out.

Roughly halfway through this year.

Hope I can hang onto the money for that long. Temptation

Good News, Bad News, Meh News

Good news: I got the format of The Amity Incident to work for the print version. And I now have two Patrons to keep my funds on the increase.

Bad news: I got rejected by the postal agents.

Meh news: I can't really afford the trivia night I've been looking forward to for months.

There's other social stuff happening this weekend, so I only get one day to do any of the nothing I want to do. And I'm nine weeks away

A Good Morning

We stayed up late, last night, installing things on Chaos' new PC. So I'm operating on a few hours' sleep. OTOH, the kids got up early and got ready early, and then Beloved helped out with the finishing touches.

I still had to teach them how to do it, because Beloved is more of a programmer than a hairdresser.

I have run out of stuff to take to St. Vinnies. This is an immense relief for me as I no longer have

Lo Batt

So I've swapped my medication to taking it at night. And I kind'a revelled in being AWAKE for a change and wound up staying up until eleven. Whoops.

Also taking a midday estivation until night time probably didn't help there.

So this morning, I'm still foggy, but able to function. For limited definitions of 'function'. I'm still easily distractible and I'm having small troubles maintaining focus.

And I haven't watered my garden yet... hangon...

There. Plants are still alive, yay.

I have

BREAKING NEWS! THE WHITE HOUSE WILL CALL FOR A BAN ON LGBT CONVERSION THERAPY

The White House will call for a ban on LGBT conversion therapy

The White House formally responded to a petition on WeThePeople.gov today seeking a ban on efforts to change the sexual orientation or gender identity of young people, the The New York Times reports.

The petition called for the creation of “Leelah’s Law,” ideally national legislation that would prohibit licensed therapists from

Plain cigarette packaging works: study

Plain packaging on tobacco products is associated with lower smoking appeal, greater support for the policy and a higher urgency to quit among adult smokers, a new study has found.

The study, conducted by Victorian researchers and published in the journal BMJ Open, is the first to examine how plain packaging affects smokers thoughts in practice following the roll-out of plain packaging laws in Australia in late 2012. Previous studies have only looked at simulated plain
