It's only a few more days until payday, and my budget will be sneaking ahead by a smidge.

A smidge that I shall squirrel away for emergencies/something cool.

It's also heading towards my birthday, so I really should look up what's in my pockets for All Hallow's Read.

I do have stuff for that.

What I don't have is a decent image to use in lieu of a cover.

I'm going to try another thing for Stencyl during my shenanigans today. Poking around and seeing what works and what does not. Trying to get one thing to work.

Onwards to the other things. Catio, Bikkie, recordings and such.

Plusses and Minusses

Plus: Toasty has started part 3 of her Divinity Saga and I couldn't be happier about that. It's something of a treat to watch something spring to life from the hands of a talented expert.

Minus: The loud orange muppet allegedly in charge of the USA is threatening battle war and sudden death in Iraq because that allegedly makes him look like a strong leader. It also serves to allow the right wing to trumpet, "Support our president because we're AT WAR!

Reprieve?

I got a phone call yesterday afternoon and my car is free from limbo. It was an oxygen sensor and they say they've fixed it. A test-drive will make sure. I figure if nothing's fucked up by the time I've gone full circle by way of Costco, then nothing's fucked up.

Whee.

So today's schedule includes unfucking the house, rescuing-testing my car, and potentially seeing how white applies to Practice Dude A.

Approaching Normal

I have both sets of braining meds! Interestingly, the ones that had to wait for stock beat out the ones that had to cross the Pacific Oceans to get to me.

The cat flap is repaired with a qualifier attached in the flavour of "for now".

We are going to need a new one. But it's at a state of being in which it can do it's job. For now.

My actual work compy is NOT dying! It doesn't even need repairs.

Nope, it was just my dumb arse keeping every tab in the world open that made it strain its poor little self. And since I've ceased being a dumbarse, I don't need a new compy.

A new lappy is now the goal, but we're sitting on our money until the latest lappy comes out.

Roughly halfway through this year.

Good News, Bad News, Meh News

Good news: I got the format of The Amity Incident to work for the print version. And I now have two Patrons to keep my funds on the increase.

Bad news: I got rejected by the postal agents.

Meh news: I can't really afford the trivia night I've been looking forward to for months.

There's other social stuff happening this weekend, so I only get one day to do any of the nothing I want to do. And I'm nine weeks away

A Good Morning

We stayed up late, last night, installing things on Chaos' new PC. So I'm operating on a few hours' sleep. OTOH, the kids got up early and got ready early, and then Beloved helped out with the finishing touches.

I still had to teach them how to do it, because Beloved is more of a programmer than a hairdresser.

Lo Batt

So I've swapped my medication to taking it at night. And I kind'a revelled in being AWAKE for a change and wound up staying up until eleven. Whoops.

Also taking a midday estivation until night time probably didn't help there.

So this morning, I'm still foggy, but able to function. For limited definitions of 'function'. I'm still easily distractible and I'm having small troubles maintaining focus.

And I haven't watered my garden yet... hangon...
