Painkillers good

I usually mix acetaminophen [Panadol to us Aussies, Tylenol to the US] and ibuprofen to get rid of my cyclone headache. It was not cutting it, yesterday.

We have a small supply of Panafen, which has codeine in it. Codeine metabolises into morphine, which is a way more effective painkiller. This stuff is tightly controlled, so when our supply runs out, it runs OUT. I'll be screwed.

The good news is that I only need one Panafen to make the killer headache go away. The bad news is, it only lasts for four hours before I slide slowly back into STABBING AGONY again.

The really bad news is that there's like five of these things left.

I shall either have to improve or find something else that firkin works by then.

Meanwhile, I have to focus on all the other stuff. Patreon, daily instant, flash fanfiction, five hundred words, teaching Mayhem to drive...

All whilst preferably in a dim to dark environment because light still hurts.

Tropical Cyclone Trevor is now an ex-tropical cyclone, but apparently, I can still detect this rat bastard even though he's busy flooding the hell out of Alice Springs. I wasn't bothered by Trev's presence until he hit the far north of the Northern Territory... and I live in Southeast Queensland.

I didn't get all of my Nothing done yesterday. Beloved had counter-plns to drag me off. I'm still going to work on some of my shit today. I want to focus on learning Java because I really need to get that app going.

When I burn out from that, I'll catch up on the rest of my nothing.

Gotta love a morning after

It got dramatic, last night. My little Gerblin convert turned away from the light and came back to bite us on the ass with the help of some worgs.

Gaarsh is very upset about all this. Especially since he's had his first kill since the Bad Time, and he was killing someone he was playing with just minutes before.

There's gonna be an angst fest and I plan on loving it to bits. Some arguing between the party members who are not

I am so stoked for today.

The whole gang is due to turn up and the game shall indeed be on and I intend to enjoy the hell out of it.

Other PLNs include all the flash fictions, as normal, but I've DONE my novel for this week, so I don't have to fret about that.

I might be able to squeeze in some self-education or work on any given project, today. That'd be cool.

That was a lovely nothing, this weekend. I enjoyed it heartily.

A Weekend of Nothing

I have nothing planned for this weekend. An entire forty-eight hours of nowhere to go, nothing to do, and everything centred around just hanging out to chill.

I'm loving it.

I got to get one episode further through Critical Role, watched some more Umbrella Academy with Beloved and added an ep of MacGuyver because we were out of brainpower for the evening.

I also got to make an interesting discovery about Minecraft.

I dun goofed

I successfully posted my Patreon, explaining the "Job's Done!" effect. I successfully did my Wordpress Wednesday about the Miraculous Minority and their seemingly obligatory position as Straight White Hero Support(tm). I successfully wrote my blog, my Instant, and five hundred words for my novel.

Yay.

I completely forgot about writing the flash fanfiction I should have done yesterday.

Chaos starts swimming lessons, this week. I'm 1000% for. Anything that could plausibly save my little darlings' lives gets my vote. Since the lessons happen on Wednesday, that's moved up her tuck shop day to Tuesday.

That's happening this week.

The TangleBag(tm) now has starter walls. It's quicker to do the walls than it is to do the base because trebles are no longer involved. I've gone through three circuits since yesterday and it's starting to look like a wibbly wobbly

Starting Over and Over

I had to unravel a lot of progress on my ameteur string bag. Starting with a simple fact - I got my treble stitch wrong.

You're supposed to make a stitch out of the loop of yarn you wind around the hook. I forgot that bit and just left a loose loop in there. No wonder the result was an unholy tangle.

It's kind of a tangle now, with the spare twine currently residing in a spare gift bag that was lying
