Parkrun

A 91-post collection

Saturday, Parkrun and Testing Cycle

I think I have finally made all the stopgap functions for Pseuducku and, if it all works, I will have a HTML version to put up on the development log. Finally, an interactive experience... but not much of one.

Gotta acknowledge my limits, you know.

I have added gel pads to my super foot-friendly shoes, and I think it's made a difference. So too has swapping the side I use my cane on until my other heel stopped whinging about things.

I think the poor thing was jealous.

My right heel still twinges when I bend to pick things up so I'll keep up the treatments and hope for the best.

My physio is spacing out her treatments, so this is a long experiment on my end.

I may or may not get brave enough to test it today. I got some things back from a marketing person and I also need to brave up to evaluate them.

I have to be very brave in my near future. And I'm a big chicken. The bravest thing I'm doing is VTTRPG in the early AM tomorrow. Then I worry about everything else.

Let's get on with my offerings.

Saturday, Parkrun and Publishing PLNs

I have everything together, I am going to make myself put out last year's anthology today. I have the technology.

I just need to remember everything I need.

I should be fine.

I have to soak my feet in cooled water because swelling issues and I also have to keep off my feet for as long as humanly possible until further notice.

Fun stuff.

Not so much time for handicrafty projects with power tools. OTOH more time for messing around with GameMaker.

Saturday, Parkrun and Hopes

My poor Beloved has been run off her feet with work. So much so that the post-parkrun chapter reads have been suspended until further notice.

I sincerely hope that "further notice" happens today. I need to find the end of book five and ponder WTF I'm calling book six.

I'm starting to run out of alliterative D-themed titles.

All whilst also plotting to kill off my MC's and wind up the sketches of the fantasy future.

I will finish this WIP. I

Saturday, Parkrun and Further PLNs

I aim get the buttons sorted out this afternoon. I have the mock-ups to go off of when I do all of that. I have the assets ready. I have the instructions. All that's left is a few minutes of jiggery-pokery.

All that's standing in my way is my inhibiting terror that this will all blow up on me. Again.

I've had so many setbacks on this thing that I'm overdue some setforwards.

But before I get on with that, I'm doing

Saturday, First Parkrun of the Year

I've packed my pills, my headphones are fully charged, I have my knees on and I remembered to cool my heels before I tied my shoelaces.

I think I'm doing pretty good so far. Despite feeling very, very tired.

I will for sure need a cold pack when I return home to make my offerings. All the better to make sure I can shamble around the house for my varied needs.

I don't know why, but my heel is protesting this morning.

Saturday, Parkrun Progress and Shenanigans

My battery's at less than 50% so I shall attempt to make this quick.

Attempt.

The physio is working in that I was able to walk the entire 5K without needing to support it with the cane. Yay for my left heel. Alas, my right knee has had enough of supporting me and decided to be a huge bitch the entire time.

I shall be talking with my physio about that come Monday. Replete with descriptions of the clicking and clunking that

Saturday, Parkrun, Progress, and Pain

The good news is... I made it over 3/4s of the way through the whole 5K before I needed my cane to help me make it all the way there.

It's sweltering hot, out there, so my brunch this time included ice cream.

As for progress... after two weeks of too busy, too sick, and too disorganised - I finished one chapter of A Devil's Tale.

Trust me. This is a massive cheev.

As for the pain -well- the heel that

Saturday, Parkrun and a Movie

I made it roughly a quarter of the way through parkrun before I needed my cane. And now it's my friend until I can walk without discomfort again. In the meantime, I am literally cooling my heels with an ice pack from the freezer.

It is my sincere friend when my heel feels like I have stepped on a thousand legos.

Beloved, Adorable, Miss Chaos, and I went to see The Wild Robot and... I'm not crying, you're crying.

It's interesting to

Saturday, Parkrun and Owwies

The bad news: I forgot to start my new foot exercise regime last night.

The good news: I remembered to do it this morning.

Bad news: My foot is PAINFUL post parkrun and various parts of both legs are not far behind.

I need a sleep to recover, now that I am safe home. And if I perchance to miss making my offerings, y'all get a twofer tomorrow.

Squeezed in betwixt game sessions and taking Mayhem's compy to the repair folks, apparently.

Saturday, Parkrun Fail and Fucking Asthma

I thought Sneezin' and Wheezin' Season was finally done with me. I thought wrong.

I got giddy at about the 1/4 mark. Checked my nails... and I was turning blue. So I turned around. First time in about 2 years that I gave up on a parkrun. But... health also important and staying alive is a priority.

I'll put myself back on Max when I get home.

Right now, I am waiting at Adorable's place for Beloved and Adorable to return

Saturday, Parkrun in the Rain

Wet weather. Such fun. Even more fun is having a foot that absolutely hates you with a passion. I had to bust out my cane just to make it the whole five kilometers.

And then it was a question of which hurt more - my foot or my wrist because of firkin course my entire dang body is falling the flakk apart.

At least I'm seeing someone about the nonsense in my feet this coming Tuesday. Thereafter I should at least have

Saturday, Parkrun, Game Night, and Game Morning

I survived with my feet intact, found a very nice place to have brunch, and managed to avoid getting feedback on the Pseuducku mockup. My tester didn't read the accompanying text, methinks.

I'm sharing a game with one pack of maniacs tonight, and another very early tomorrow morning. Fun times ahoy!

I'm saving on exercise shoe money by living all summer in my new orthotic sandals. They work wonders, even if my toes get froze in air conditioning. Thus saving me from

Saturday, Exhaustion Points

I made it through parkrun. Yay. My heel still hates me. Boo. I needed a nap after I got home because irrevocably awake at 2AM. Fun times.

Nap done with, I am disinclined to leave my bed again, so all my offerings come from my laptop to you. Anything else deemed unnecessary will wait until tomorrow. Possibly, tomorrow afternoon.

Sneezin' and Wheezin' Season is still kicking my butt, so I may have to leave my little sanctuary just to put myself on

Saturday, Parkrun and Sleepless PLNs

My left foot hates me. My right knee decided to complain about its lot in life. I am having a series of bad air days. I am a very tired bean and most of my energy is going on breathing.

My focus is to get my offerings out there and then go catch some sleep.

With luck and fortune, I'll be able to run the game in the wee small tomorrow morning. I'll warn my players before I get going on the
