Honest answers, please?

Loads of people are doing Patreon stuff.

Lots of them are visual artists, offering art and discounts on their art stores as bonuses for patrons.

Does it work for writers? What the hell do I have to offer?

If I let my readers have sneak peeks, will that be ‘publishing’ parts of my WIP and therefore making it untouchable?

I’m planning to get an agent, this year. Which means I’ll be sending sample chapters of Kung Fu Zombies off to random strangers in the hopes that they think it’s good enough to print on the mashed remains of dead trees.

Y’know, because print books reach wider audiences and whatnot.

But of course I am broke and I need an income in the meantime. It’s going to be months before KFZ is ready to go. Agents like finished books, I hear.

But then, considering my current audience is also broke, this might not be a good idea, after all.

Ugh. I wish I knew what to do.

Life sucks.

Are any of the 1% Speculative Fiction fans? Can I send them a few free things and hope for the best? Would that even work?

Bluh.

Must stop, now, before I enter into yet another depression spiral.

This is horrifying and gross, because the list includes:

  • Cranberry sauce and pie filling. (Poor people can forget about making dessert for Thanksgiving dinner.)
  • Creamed vegetables
  • Baked beans
  • Pickles
  • Pork and beans
  • Frozen veggies that come in packages featuring pasta, nuts, rice, cheese, or meats
  • French fries and hash browns
  • Sharp cheddar cheese, Swiss, and fresh mozzarella, shredded and sliced cheeses (except American cheese of course)

2) Discolours ivory (BRIGHT PINK) thus reducing saleability

3) Can be detected by airport scanners, even if ground up, thus increasing the chances you will be caught

4) Causes nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea if ingested by humans, thus driving away your customer base

Win. Win. Win. Win.

5) makes rhinos look adorable & fashionable

Considering as though it's part of some

dantesbooty:

I’m fully aware of the fact that it’s a shot in the freaking dark but for my current school project I need to sell at least seven USB drives so if someone’s interested: this is a pack of four tearable USB drives, each 8GB (in total 32GB) which have been produced from 100% post-consumer recycled paper. The flash drives, named Gigs 2 Go are small enough to fit in your wallet and can be written on. The selling

The adventures of an Australian in the Everfree Forest.

[AN: The pony in this story has almost nothing to do with Steve Irwin and is a parody of several nature presenters and possibly Bush Tucker Man]

The Everfree Forest. A peculiar patch of land that has never needed a pony’s help to operate. The plants grow by themselves. The clouds have seeming autonomy. It’s whispered that the animals, there, eat each other.

It’s a dangerous place. Unsafe for the

Omfg what if you landed on a planet that supported life and the “humans” there were much more technologically advanced and they made you come back to life from your remains and you just woke up after death in a random ass planet.

Wouldn’t it be even more amazing if your remains landed on a different planet, with no life, but an atmosphere, and the

Ditch the like button

No, seriously. If you don’t have money to help out an artist financially, the second best thing is to reblog all the things you like. While liking it does tell the artist that “hey I really like this!” It does jack shit because the only ones who will see that are me and you.

Why do you think there are so SO many posts made by people that are literally summed down to “please reblog

Challenge #00843-B112: Relics of a Previous Age.

I think that I’ve never seen anything so stupid and so practical in all my life.

They called it The Archive of Earth. A massive tomb devoted to the Twentieth Century. And Shayde had, through adventure and misadventure, inherited the lot.

“How much of this stuff is plastic?” wondered Rael.

“Uh. After the Twenties? Loads.” Shayde was particularly uninformative, unpacking the vaults and sorting random objects. The swarming Archivaas had left her to deal with everything they didn’t recognise. Which

If you’re a girl and you hit, punch, or physically harm your boyfriend in any way it’s still considered abuse and you’re equally as much of a piece of shit as any guy that hits his girlfriend. Seriously the amount of girls that disagree with this is ridiculous, and they’re all fucking stupid. Sorry not sorry.
