Two cases from overseas, each detected in quarantine, but they do take the active case count up to ten. I dislike double figures in my active case count. One more week of school this year and it's not really worth giving up on the mask for that.
I feel Yulemas Mania approaching and this year... I want to make FUDGE.
I've fallen into a rabbit hole that started with an article about three-ingredient fudge. I've looked at the alternatives, found a recipe for condensed milk toffee and otherwise got myself good and fascinated.
The core of all "easy" fudge is thus:
- One can of sweetened condensed milk
- 400g chocolate
- Unsalted Butter????
Some variants include unsalted peanut paste - which you have to go out of your way to acquire. The only way you can get your mitts on it is to go to a health shop that has its own peanut paste grinder. There's only one of those in my immediate area, and I don't want to go to that much effort no matter how delicious peanut paste fudge sounds.
I'll save that for another manic episode.
The variants I'm interested in have a range of butter. The minimum being thirty grams, the maximum being half a cup. I'll start with making both extremes and seeing which one gets predated first... and whether or not the family has any comments.
It's a feast day today, so I'll be able to test them too. Whee.
Let's write something and hope I don't go completely fudge bonkers.
