Realm of the InterNutter

I don’t often listen to the actual radio. Most of the time I play the stuff I like via bluetooth.

But the one time I did, there was this amazing couple on there singing one of their hits. And I mean the exactly wrong kind of amazing.

These two could not hit the same note if you gave them comedy-sized hammers. Their harmonizing was harming. They made me wince.

And all I could think of was how these losers had a record deal and radio fame when way more talented people [read: Steam Powered Giraffe] are forced to languish in obscurity.

I could easily hate the entertainment industry as it exists because they’d rather have the easily-digested pap to get popular than anything remotely challenging.

Feh.

And then I remembered it’s way better to pity them because they’re missing out.

I dunno if I should even try to make them aware of what they’re missing out on or not. You know. Pearls before swine and all that.

What do you think? Should I even try to educate them?

Some people sent us angry earnest messages thinking it was true….we thought it was pretty transparent, but oh well. Joke successful? On second thought, it wasn’t really THAT humorous, although I did enjoy our fake new show schedule a bunch. :3
