Realm of the InterNutter

Thoughts, stories and ideas.

The internet just changed: Net Neutrality is dead.

Last Wednesday, FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler announced a proposal for new rules that would allow for a " fast lane" of Internet traffic for content providers who are willing (and able) to pay a fee. [1] The proposal reverses the FCC's previous commitment to net neutrality and open

Challenge #00491 - A116: Random Curiosity

You mentioned Shayde’s much-debated status as “human” among the denizens of Amalgam. So I’m guessing that as well as all the “human status confirmed” moments there had to be a few cogniscients that just bluntly asked her what she was. And I’ll bet after the first twelve she started coming up with more creative answers/responses….

[AN: I doubt she made it as far as twelve]

There were drawbacks to being in the company of someone who was only

Watching Bunny clean out her Tumblr Inbox and thinking: If I keep up with the flow, I’m never going to get tonight’s 500 words in. OTOH, if I write my 500 words, I may never find out what this is about.

or see any of the things I sent her…(stop being selfish, ‘Nutter!)

And I note that there’s more positive messages than negative ones. I hope that means something.

In response to the alien + austie = adorable story: Well, we have to accept the nypicals, and nothing they do makes any friggin' sense, but...

Aaaw Anon, you’re making me blush :#)

Another writer once wrote something that I’ve taken to heart: “Differences make good sparks.”

We should embrace the different. If nothing else, it will make us appreciate the wonders of this sad world a little more. A world of homogeny is an awful nightmare to contemplate.

[Psst: It’s ‘autiste’ but I get how that can be a bit of a mangle to type in a hurry.

Challenge #00490 - A115: One Alarming Discovery on the Paths Less Travelled

I may have already submitted a similar prompt, but there was mention made about how non-human species might be very good for autistes - some are very cuddly, some like particularly quiet environments, some have interesting textures. All good for degaussing or forcing the unwanted mob to back off when the autiste is having trouble communicating.

In case a similar prompt has already been made, I’ll request the first time a human of the autism spectrum met any of the Galactic

As a bisexual, it sickens me that some people WILL keep scrolling.

As the straight daughter of a gay man, it sickens me that some people will keep scrolling.

As a straight girl with a basic understanding of equality and love, it also sickens me that people will keep scrolling.

As a straight Christian woman, I pray that people will not scroll past this. Love, not judge.

I reblog this every single time.

Just because others have said bad things before, doesn't mean they cannot point out the wrongdoings of others. All that matters is if...

Thanks for being very civil, Anon. I appreciate it.

It’s a problematic world. Going after someone for something they thought was funny at the time with rage-cannons loaded isn’t the way, either.

I’ve seen members of the fanmily quit over the Salad Incident, as well as numerous examples of skewed humour from the twins. The point *I’m* trying to make is that everyone has said or done something on the spur of the moment
