i wonder what effect wide-spread/public vampirism would have on the evolution of language
like i mean obviously i havent slept properly in like two days but seriously how does it evolve without the assistance of former generations dying out. do people use the words “grisbittyng” and “yolo” in the same sentence. are there parts of big cities where its like walking into a different century like are there neighbourhoods in chicago

Brexx didn’t know what was wrong. The human ambassador spasmed suddenly and made a sort of Skngx! noise. Then she gasped for breath and went, Skngx!Skngx!Skngx! in rapid succession.
Brexx hit the panic button. “Human ambassador non-communicative. Making abbreviated noises of unknown meaning.”
it’s important that we pay tribute to Leelah and Zander, but it’s also important that we pay tribute to the five trans women of color murdered in 2015 so far. I have seen next to nothing about these women. They are just as important as Leelah or Zander. They deserve the same recognition.
I think we are all are getting blind sided by the real problem about the Steven Universe thing. We think the Home World Gems are the ones to fear but were not looking at the bigger picture. The gems were expanding their armies way before the war we knew. The war here only started because it had sentient life on it, implying they were doing this on worlds before and just this one had life on it.
One of the more weird and frustrating things about depression to explain to people, especially concerned/worried loved ones, is that you’re not suicidal really it’s just… sometimes you’re so… tired. You’re so apathetic, that… it’s not the active death of yourself that you’re wanting. That requires so much more energy than you have, and it’s too violent an act for what you want. There’s just sometimes this quiet and exhausted desire to
