Odd Sunday

A 1-post collection

Sunday, Day 0, Odd Hours

Plague News: One new case, a local transmission. There's six total active cases, five of those are in hospital. The way things are going, the one new case is going to be hospitalised tomorrow. Australia's at 92% first vax, 86.6% fully vaxxed. Queensland's still in 2nd-last place at 86% first vax and 75.7% fully vaxxed.

I find it weird how Victoria is pushing to open up despite having over a thousand active cases. It's like they just don't care about anyone any more. They just want to have their holidays and meet up with their families and throw their anti-science parades. Screw everyone else, we want to do everything we want to do. And so on.

The Omicron variant is spreading across the globe and these people want us to have our unfair share.

Why is it that the places with the worst of the plague want the places with zero plague to let the disease vectors in? I don't think I'll ever understand it.

As I write this, Toasty is out getting a new stylus for their tablet. So I'm waiting on that stream. Fortunately, I have lots of self-indulgent romance with a side of angst juice to write. I'll probably get to 3K again, today. It seems to be the way of things.

In the news:

  • Omicron's getting everywhere, may already be here
  • Massive "freedom rallies" all over Australia
  • Fake Tradie scam in Victoria
  • Apartment so small that the dunny is inside the shower stall
  • Germany urged to shut down in order to control the plague
  • Anti-plague pill less effective than initial tests promised

And now I write and I wait. Or I wait whilst I write. Likely both.
