Dear Diary

Aches and Pains

The rest day after Resistance Training is full of them. My trapezius, biceps, and thighs ache. I need a good long soak in a nice hot tub.

BUT, I know I have more muscle mass now. It really hurts.

Also, there's a low pressure system making itself known to my nose. So now the left eye socket of my face has a headachy pain. The lingering after-effects of getting my septum straightened. Joy.

As soon as I'm done with my daily story, I'm going to go soak.

For every 'up', there's a 'down'. My weight's down a little, but my pain levels are up. Damn.

Today is not going to be very productive. And I plan on enjoying it.

Results!

So I've been intermittent with taking my readings. I admit that. What I'm trying to do from this Saturday onwards is take a comprehensive reading of everything I can measure, and noting it down in a log.

For my "defaults", I'm using some measurements I already have. Mid-January, before I was going to go to Tucson and see my best band in the world. Which, because my memory from that time, I am calling the 15th of January, 2016.

On the 15th

A good start. Almost.

Everyone is organised, lunchboxes are packed, everyone is clean and dressed and ready. I even have time to sit down and write this blog. Before 7AM.

We just forgot to go on our walk, today.

If we still have time by the time I've finished my salty broth, I may poke my love to go walking. The plan B is park the car far away from Chaos' new school and get our walking in that way.

But the fact that I have

Falling behind

I haven't scheduled my Blasts From the Past over on my Steemit account for a while. I need to do a whole bunch and then try to keep up with it.

The problem is, I'm feeling tired. Exercise is kicking my butt again, and I think I am just now getting some kind of rhinovirus. I know how to beat those. Chicken soup and lots of ginger.

And possibly taking it easy for a while.

I need me some pick-me-ups and comfort

Swing mis-swung

We're going to have to take off closer to eight in the morning so that we don't have to wait on Chaos' teachers for half an hour.

Delivered unto school today: One hand-cranked spiralizer so Chaos can make zucchini noodles, two visual fact sheets for lo-carb, and one in-depth one with some of the involvements.

Not all of them, of course, but lo-carb hi-fat diets can help a lot of people. Starting with the basics seems a good way to manage things.

Slow start

I didn't get to sit at my computer until 10AM, today. We went shopping after getting the kids to school.

And I'm learning how corporations are getting everything messed up so they can make more money. Like, even more than I suspected. The profit motive is the most insidious and venal motive there ever was.

Monsanto is excellent at killing things. And that includes its customers. And the soil their products are used on.

I am very glad we're going to be

Back to School!

My little darlings are off to their respective educational bastions. Though Mayhem is going without his mandatory laptop, because apparently, Overwatch and YouTube is way more important than being ready for school. Hopefully, he's motivated enough to actually set it up, tonight.

I'm still betting he'll just leave it all week and get the chewing-out of a lifetime come the weekend.

Meanwhile, Miss Chaos has curly-ish hair. The gene that missed MeMum and I has landed on my littlest darling and she

Day of rest?

There's markets on, today. Markets that we should be at by eight. They close at eleven.

Then there's a barbecue lunch at a friend of Beloved's from work.

By which time I will possibly be knackered again.

And I have to make certain that my kids' bags are packed and ready, that their lunchboxes are named, that Chaos' hair is treated again... this time with stuff that will not poison all participants.

Because Monday is a school day. And even more chaos

Oof and ow

So first thing, I managed to damage my wrists, yesterday. I also managed to poison myself with Chaos' anti-nit treatment. So I not only have the Runs, but also painful wrists.

So we're skipping Resistance Training. Due to ill health.

Then Beloved wants to go on a shopping spree. Which has taken us from about 9:30 this morning through to one in the afternoon.

So now all my spoons have gone, I have to schedule my Blasts From the Pasts on

Nothing much...

It's Friday, and I usually make myself write one thousand words in my WIP so I can finish of my 3K a week and have the weekends for whatever happens to be going on.

I'm trying to keep up with everything, but I'm starting to feel overwhelmed. And most of it's through making other people do the things they need to do in their day-to-day life. As well as getting myself up and at it.

So I have a creeping feeling of

Progress

With the new iPad and potential for doodling whilst writing again, I had motivation to clean up my office.

So I went from this:

To this:

I'm rather proud of myself.

I've got the whole family walking around the Long Block [roughly 2.5km] And yes, I still have that misspelled "Weird" framed by my desk. It reminds me how NOT to spell it. And I'm still proud to be weird, and that I did a pretty good job on the calligraphy.

...ow

First Sprint Day of the new workout regime and, owing to the early rain, we decided not to chance running our arses off on wet roads, but stayed home and skipped rope.

Things to remember:

  • Neither of us have skipped since our last Skipathon in Primary School.
  • That time is now literally decades ago.
  • The goal of Sprint Day is to do a fast-paced activity until you literally can't do it any more. Beloved mentioned the word "collapse".
  • I'm fighting gravity worse

...shit

There's certain realisations in life that don't result in swearing or tantrums. They just... defeat you. And then all you can do is mutter "...shit."

I have, some time in the past, skipped over some of my Instants in my super-mega-master-file. Which means I have to do a re-count. As soon as I locate all of said missing files and include them.

...shit.

The day I set aside for the Grand School Run is also the day I'm due to see my

This time fer sure

(Said in the voice of Bullwinkle J. Moose) So lately, I've been Distracted. Thanks to my personal blog, my routine is thrown off and I'm forgetting things.

I can not wait for Keto to kick in with that higher brain function.

Either that, or my addled brain and disorganised thinking is permanent. Bugger. So that means routine, routine, routine for me.

We'll see.

Making a new routine for myself always has a few bumps. And writing my daily blog and forgetting to
