also yarnbombing on trees is really bad for them! it strangles necessary nutrients from the bark and when it starts rotting it introduces all kinds of harmful bacteria to the tree.
I remember a couple years ago someone was making scarves and sweaters and putting them on statues with little tags saying “if you’re cold, take this, it’s yours” and that seems like an infinitely better thing to do that “yarnbombing” tbh?

MeMum has been knitting jumpers, blankets, and beanies for the disadvantaged for years, now. Sometimes at warp nine. Frankly, I think she deserves more props for all her hard work.
I can not understand why someone would waste all that yarn on a work that has to wind up in a landfill. You could do so much good with it instead. Yarn is expensive and hard to find. At least it is for me.
Do some genuine good with your resources. That, I think, should be the essence of tenderpunk.
Also, if I see a yarn bombing, I am going to unpick that fucker and pass that shit onto someone who can use it properly. If possible, of course.
