Monday, Backup Reads and Back to Work

First week of not "working" during the weekend. This, in my case, means not working on the novel or any of my side projects for two days. Which, in turn, means encouraging myself to get back on to doing the thing. IF I can focus on doing half a chapter a day through the week, I can plausibly write up to two and a half chapters a week.

Which is likely to fall over tomorrow, because Mission to MeMum's. We'll see how I go.

I've already written the Archive tale for next week, and it looks like I'm going to be on the Archive stream every other week. Fun.

I'm going to attempt to write more than half a chapter today. As well as finally forcing myself to do the blurbs for two of the four books since I haven't had any feedback on the Zrythm thing yet.

Let's see how far I can go.

Monday, Boxing Day and Recovery

I dropped off MeMum to her home and got home JUST before the roads filled up with migratory beachgoers. So I consider myself lucky to have done that when I did.

When I got home, Beloved needed cuddles. And that's why I'm returning to my nonsense this afternoon.

I owe my readers some twofers and I owe my Twitch viewers a read in lieu of Fic o' the Week. And I should get back to D&D Prep, fic tagging, and

I'm back to business

Christmas was a success. Capt S turned up with minimal warning, but all was well because I literally make enough food to feed an army.

My first attempt at cooking duck was a mixed success. The roast needed extra time and the stuffing was horrible, but the duck itself was rather excellent.

People - stick cloves into the skins of your roast bird or white meat. It makes a lovely difference to the flavours.

The orange sauce I made... worked.
