Sorry, Tom, but there are some of us out there who feel every grammatical error like a sharp and cankerous wound, or a nigh-unreachable itch that can only be soothed by jumping upon that error and annihilating it worse than any berserker Norseman could ever manage.

We don’t want to win the argument that way. Hell, sometimes we don’t even care about the argument.

We just. Want. To fix that.

My problem with "transmisogyny".

No, it isn’t what you think.

It’s because I’m a massive word nerd. I know that sticking “trans” in front of “misogyny” only covers an approximate half of the trans* community. It specifically calls on hatred of transgals only.

There is no “transmisandry” popping up anywhere. Either the transguys out there are better at transitioning, or it isn’t an issue [Like hell, it isn’t an issue;

Quirkafleg: v [QWERK-a-FLEG] -ged -ging. 1. A paroxysm of disgust and/or revulsion. The small child quirkaflegged after the bully spat on her. or, Don’t show that to my dad, he’ll totally quirkafleg. 2. (n) An expression of disgust three levels above ‘squick’. Euw, no… quirkafleg!

Words that don't exist, but should: Inanism

Inanism (n): [in-NAYN-is-um] 1. a saying, malapropism or phrase that is inherently inane. [eg: “Working hard or hardly working?”] 2. a means of filling the air with noise under the guise of conversation. [eg: “Sure, we talked; but it was all inanisms.”] orig: Inane.

Why this word needs to exist: we seriously need a word for the verbal nothing that spouts effortlessly from the mouths of those loud, annoying people in the office/workspace/elevator.
