Though it was reluctantly, he followed Wraithvine and Pondermoore, he convinced his mother and the rest of his family to remain behind to care for their farm, and they decided to follow the map provided, and to turn over the criminal in the cage to the proper authorities. In the meantime, he was trying to find a way to keep his bell from knocking Wraithvine to the ground like that.

Pondermoore was leading the horse, which was pulling the cart, because Amatu was twiddling with his bell again. Of the three of them, only one had proficiency with vehicles. It was the one who would go down like a sack of spuds if the bell 'rang'. Pondermoore couldn't hear anything, but any magic user in a wide radius certainly could.
For Wraithvine, it was debilitating. Little Vee Antheson, part Dragon by adoption, was a little better off. She could cover her ears and shriek back at the noise. Alas, her countermeasure only effected her.
So far, they had tried stopping Wraithvine's pointy ears, blocking line of sight between hir and the bell, and some Resistance charms. None of them were a great success.
