Honest answers, please?

Loads of people are doing Patreon stuff.

Lots of them are visual artists, offering art and discounts on their art stores as bonuses for patrons.

Does it work for writers? What the hell do I have to offer?

If I let my readers have sneak peeks, will that be ‘publishing’ parts of my WIP and therefore making it untouchable?

I’m planning to get an agent, this year. Which means I’ll be sending sample chapters of Kung Fu Zombies off to random strangers in the hopes that they think it’s good enough to print on the mashed remains of dead trees.

Y’know, because print books reach wider audiences and whatnot.

But of course I am broke and I need an income in the meantime. It’s going to be months before KFZ is ready to go. Agents like finished books, I hear.

But then, considering my current audience is also broke, this might not be a good idea, after all.

Ugh. I wish I knew what to do.

Life sucks.

Are any of the 1% Speculative Fiction fans? Can I send them a few free things and hope for the best? Would that even work?

Bluh.

Must stop, now, before I enter into yet another depression spiral.
